That's normal, you're supposed to leave it running.
So... it's actually doing stuff, even though I can't see it? And I just need to let it go for a few minutes? [editline]7th August 2013[/editline]
Note: You will see a blank command prompt window pop up on occasion, this is normal and will happen several times as the patcher extracts all the needed files from your Fallout 3 directory and repacks the needed files into your Fallout New Vegas directory. The first time you run the patcher this will take some time, be patient and, let it run its course. It may appear as though the patcher freezes up from time to time, but please be patient.
Holy shit I'm stupid.
So you guys wouldn't happen to know of a way I could directly rip textures and sprites and whatever from the original Fallouts, would you? It'd be an unbelievable help for the PnP to have them.

Oh wow, TTW works way better than I expected. I only noticed one missing piece of dialogue, and it was from Jericho. Also I don't remember him being so white. But still, this mod is amazing.
So I went back to play fallout 3 and I downloaded two mods that add a ton of variances to the basic clothes (old logos, mostly) and another one that adds coats and that sort of stuff. It makes for some really good combinations, but now every raider wears a leather jacket with tobar's name on it. Wearing the tunnel snake outfit with a thicker coat above it looks really cool too.
Well, i beat Fallout 2, and i got the special book you get for beating the game. Honestly, i'm very underwhelmed. Either way, tomorrow i'm making a new character from scratch that will specialize in Melee weapons and unarmed attacks, anyone have any tips for what i could use on my character build?

Are you implying in any way that Fallout 2 is... bad ? As for the character, make it unarmed then get Slayer and GG.
I saved Butch's mom. He's my bitch now. Right?

I've got a weird problem with some of the Fallout 3 DLCs. The Chinese stealth armors head goes all black and weird when I wear it, and there is no first person model for the Auto Axe. Anyone know a way to fix this?
I found this list. I think I'm gonna blow it up now since you can continue the survival guide anyway.

It's normally bundled together with FOMM.

Also, consider installing Restoration Project 2.2 for the second playthrough because more content (for Steam you might have to move fallout 2 folder, install into folder, and move back).

"They kind of almost force you to use the system." Uh, no they don't. I never had to use the weapon reloading system. Also he's bitching about how he can't take on NCR while still low leveled. And he says New Vegas is annoying for having bounty hunters, even though Fallout 3 had that too. He's not making sense.
First thing i'm going to do when i'm home is make put the soundtrack from The Good the Bad and the Ugly in NV and make a character called Angel Eyes

Still got shittons of ammo, though.

Of course, I only did it once or twice, so I may just be talking out of my ass. On a side note, after finishing Lonesome Road, I have decided that ED-E is the most adorable character in the game, and he only got more adorable the more you learned about him. I'm disappointed that the regular Mojave ED-E wasn't updated with the DLC.

With the Hand Reloader perk it can be worth it for some ammo types, because you get a perk-only type of ammo that's usually a direct upgrade to the normal ammo.
"They kind of almost force you to use the system." Uh, no they don't. I never had to use the weapon reloading system.
I've never even used the weapon reloading system, and I had more problems with ammo in Fallout 3. :v:
Not sure which to do first. Make the first kill on a couple of weapons, do Cass's quest (which may lock me out of some items and make others extremely hard to get copies of for archiving), or do the last little bit of the BoS quest.

did anyone have ammo issues i stayed away from automatic weapons because you just blow so much of it away but with the semi auto energy and 5.56/7.62 sniper rifles were fine for pretty much everything
Jinxed.
Well, shit, i already made a character, i guess i can either make another, or get Mutate!. I completely forgot about Jinxed.
I don't know if I'm late, but it seems Bethesda has been running some limited time Fallout t-shirts. There's a new one every month and they are all related to Vault Boy; This month (it'll only be available until the 9th) it's the "Rad absorption" perk, and it even glows in the dark! and it even glows in the dark! [img_thumb]http://store.bethsoft.com/media/catalog/product/cache/23/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/t/e/tee-fo-vbotm-radioactive-front.jpg[/img_thumb]
I'd only want this on a tshirt.
