barter and jury rigging breaks the economy even worse than gambling
i have ~60k caps right now thanks to awop's weapons and armors without even gambling once
Barter's great for the early levels, but it falls off hard after you're able to properly scavenge and fight off powerful shit. After that it becomes entirely about cost to weight efficiency.
Why on females?
Because most women aren't 6'0''.
I have to be honest with you guys, I don't like how they mixed RPG elements and shooting in FO3 and NV so I usually give myself max level and a lot of the skill at max so I can explore the wasteland without too much trouble. It of course makes a lot of the stuff easier but I still enjoy doing quests and resolve conflicts.
In FO3 I messed up a lot of stuff with this approach so I thought I would try going normally in NV. Unfortunately, after realizing I couldn't properly hit an enemy 5 meters away with ironsights on him I just went to console commands again.
I really like RPGs but in the case of modern Fallout games I focus more on the role-playing aspect of them.

Shame.
Also this time around in NV I'm [sp]going for independent Vegas. When's the best time to deal with Mr. House?[/sp]

Pretty much whenever you feel like it.
Monthly reminder that Obsidian will never make another Fallout game again.

Bethesda Softworks are a bunch of assholes.
New Vegas made a hell of a lot of money, it would be silly for Bethesda to not hire Obsidian to do another spin off.

$6.94 million dollars off New Vegas
$8.18 million dollars off Fallout 3
Based off info from VGChartz
seeing those numbers, and the way the metacritic thing was handled, I'd take a gander at no.
Bethesda Softworks are a bunch of assholes.
Is there an article or something that explains this statement?
Is there an article or something that explains this statement?
I think the basic gist of it, was that if NV didnt get an 85 metacritic score a month after release, Obsidian wouldnt get a bonus, even though it got 84 (and 85 a short while after). Then, because of that, Bethesda dont think Obsidian did a good enough job, even though Bethesda rushed them, and made them unable to finish stuff like the legion.

But they have the nerve to say things along the lines of "We're not into annual games, these things take time and we do things in a particular way"
Read that in an article about alleged FO4 footage being shown at E3 or something.
NV was also smashed by reviewers due to the buggyness when Bethesda was handing the QA
Obsidian should get a shot at Elder Scrolls. I really, really liked Skyrim. Now if we could get another game on that engine, in a different part of Tamriel, with good writing, then we'd be set.
I know, Bethesda will absolutely not allow it.
I'm just waiting for Project Eternity by Obsidian.
NV was also smashed by reviewers due to the buggyness when Bethesda was handing the QA
New Vegas was buggy because Bethesda rushed the developers and forced them to chop the game apart in haste for consoles.
All in order to ensure that the Fallout series remains in their hold.
That feeling when you just go into the Tops Casino and just mow down everyone to kill Benny.
It's exhilaration fun, though I usually don't like to do it because it comes at the cost of losing a few quests. However, it's really awesome to [sp]get the platinum chip early.[/sp] And yeah, I know there are more effective ways of achieving the same end.
You would not believe how mad this makes me.

And if I remember correctly Obsidian stated that they were all good with Bethesda.

No, Bethesda should stick to Elder Scrolls, and Obsidian should stick to Fallout.
Well Obsidian said in an interview that they'd love to make another Fallout game, so I wouldn't say it's out of the question.
That said, I think the next entry in the series will be Bethesda's. While I vastly prefer New Vegas to Fallout 3; Fallout 3 was still some of Bethesda's best stuff compared to Oblivion or Skyrim, and if Fallout 4 was on that level, I wouldn't be disappointed.

I'd be okay with that if Bethesda learned from their mistakes in FO3, and took notes from New Vegas' added gameplay depth.
If they just make the game actually fit into existing lore that would fix most of my issues with Bethesda making the next Fallout title
FO3 wasn't a bad game by any means
added gameplay depth.
And sadly, being the pessimist and how Skyrim went, they'll take the opposite approach and simplify everything.
Also he keeps using that fucking terrible FO3 taunt "What's the matter, huh? Can't stand the sight of your own blood?".
It's in New Vegas too. The Fiends and other raiders say it.
In fact, it's almost the only thing they say. Walk into southwestern Vegas, the Vault 3 area, and kick the hive of Fiends, and it'll be all you hear until you murder them all. "You like the sight of your own blood? How do you like the sight of your own blood? You like the sight of your own blood?"
faaaaaack
[editline]10th August 2013[/editline]
Also, as for the issue of Obsidian making another Fallout, maybe Bethesda will pull another thing where they make the main game and then have Obsidian make the unrelated semi-sequel/spinoff.
NV was also smashed by reviewers due to the buggyness when Bethesda was handing the QA
And the vast majority of bugs were the same gamebryo engine bugs that were in unpatched FO3 and Oblivion.
