problem with lobotomites is that they come in threes when all you wanna do is get to your destination
its actually not a bad challenge, you need to take cover and shit
as usual i use the ratslayer or gobi for long distance and the hunting or lever shotgun once they get close
they also scale to your level

It would be even better if the securitron voices were replaced.
Just started playing this again. Realism damage mods (1-2 chest hits kill, 1 headshot kills) and an assortment of other crap. My guy's deathly addicted to cigarettes and whiskey. Dodging Ranger manhunts by night and hunting bounties by day, him and Raul barely manage to get by. I really dig the damage mod because all of the shootouts (at least indoors) get hectic as all hell and remind me of the crazy fast and abrupt shootout scene in Inglourious Basterds.

Anybody use Harper's Shack as a player house? It's got a campfire, workbench and reloading bench, sounds pretty versatile as long as the containers are safe.

Only problem is sometimes vipers go in and take weapons from the storage, they're safe outside of that though. Another problem is all the deathclaws, 3 deathclaws frequently spawn ontop of you whenever you fast travel and Vipers might spawn inside the shack.
Harper's Shack is in a pretty bad neighborhood, yeah. It's sorta useful on HC if you're in that area and low on sleep or food and need to cook something, but that's about it.

They finally get off the floor they were on in the Vault, kill some flame-spewing scorpions, kick a generator on, then go up a floor. Then they murder a bunch of psychotic psykers, one of whom could rival the Hulk in stature alone, and that isn't including his electrical fist of doom. Kill psykers, nab key from corpse, open storage, get equipment back, end session.
Not too slow and they got a few kills so it got us somewhere. Next up is the boss fight! Woo~
For the sake of curiosity what're the posters of this threads preferred player housing, mods notwithstanding. I've literally used the Novac house in pretty much all of my playthroughs because nearly every post-apocalyptic convenience is close at hand, with the exception of a fireplace (which can be remedied by a brisk walk to the Gibson Shack).
I usually use the Lucky 38. In my next playthrough I'm going to be using Wasteland Defense to build my own place. There's a couple other places that wouldn't be bad for a residence, excepting the fact that they lack benches of any sort.
Well well, I finally changed to Windows 7 some weeks ago, and after +100 hours I finally finished New Vegas. Still I missed many things, so is pending to replay the entire game again.
But I decided to replay Fallout 3 once again because that game is big and I never explored +50% of the game, I started the game, but it crashed every time the main menu loads, tried using FOSE and that fixed it, looks like GFWL is the problem making the game crash on load. Now I found another new problem, the game randomly freezes, mostly when the games saves or I quick save. Anyone knows a solution for that? I tried verifying and using compatible mode, that didn't worked. I know the Steam page says Fallout 3 isn't supported in Windows 7, but I know there is a fix somewhere.
i hit L50 at the end of OWB after getting 90% thru the main game and DM and HH... so I will probably do an setgs imaxcharacterlevel 60 unless there's a better way?
problem is i'm close to maxing out most things although unarmed is down at 40 or something so thats a decent point sink
also useless perks left
Honestly, unless you get a mod that adds perks, by the time you hit like 30 most of the perks left are crap. There are a few good ones left, especially later down the line, but most of them are just there to fill out some of your weaker points.

That's it I want a Beemo companion mod, right now.

Vanilla housing? Not counting mods I never really had a player house. I did use the lucky 38 as a glorified storage bin, though, if that counts.

Get Tale of Two Wastelands.[QUOTE=TonyJZX;41959332]i hit L50 at the end of OWB after getting 90% thru the main game and DM and HH... so I will probably do an setgs imaxcharacterlevel 60 unless there's a better way?

I had to drop one of my skills a few points in the console in order to actually level past 50, and at that point, I'm a wasteland demigod. NOTHING can stop me.
There's no real point in trying to push past level 50. 500-600HP(I'm at 675 thanks to the Thought You Died perk), more caps and gear than you know what to do with, enough ammo to supply the entire NCR for a year...yeaaahhh...IMO there just isn't much of a point to levelling beyond 50 when hitting 50 breaks the game as-is.

Nuska is at it again!
ok i'm at Hopeville Military Base
i'm using weapons i dont normally use... i did most of NV with the ratkiller, gobi and christine's sniper and the tricked out hunting shotgun...
leaving me with 3,000+ rounds of .357 magnum and 3,000+ of electric cells (i really dislike lasers/plasmas)
the modded cowboy gun is heaps of fun - i gotta steal La Longue Carabine some day
LR is awash with ammo and loot - dunno what to do with it all

I painstakingly transferred all of my gear to the Sink, and it was only afterwards that I realised you have to dismiss all of your companions every time you want to travel to Big MT. Which is fucking annoying considering I run with ED-E all the time, and I don't want to have to detour to Primm to pick him up after I store some stuff. I was thinking about Harper's Shack, but it doesn't have a fridge. How is my man gonna keep his food and alcohol tasty without a fridge?

Damn, it's all custom races. Hopefully they'll be implemented into the default races.
Also, those eyes stand out like crazy.

It was inspired by Nuska but it wasn't made by Nuska herself.

I could probably do that, though I'd have to reinstall FNV.
[QUOTE=mikester112;41962698]

I think the real question is why you uninstalled NV in the first place when you still browse this thread and are more than likely to come across someone who says or relates to something that will result in your wanting to play NV again anyway.
Never uninstalling it saves the hassle of wanting to play, waiting for it to install, then when it's finally installed you don't feel like playing anymore and uninstall it.
God damn
NMC's texture pack is making me crash every fourth or so load screen
Why
I have 4GB RAM, 2GB VRAM, and I'm using fnv4gb
Fucking gamebryo
Late-game hardcore mode: Inhibiting killjoy or neccessary limit on power? YOU DECIDE!
Agree - Informative = Killjoy
Heart - Dumb = Neccessary Limit

you should play hardcore all the way through on hardest difficulty
the game is really piss easy unless it's set to that

I'd rather not use Bethbryo's shitty difficulty levels that make you do less damage and the enemies do more when it should have smarter AI and balanced damage between the player and NPCs.

It's piss easy already
I refuse to play harder than normal with Bethbryo because of how shitty the difficulties are.
does anyone have a link to that mod that fixes the terrible player movement? it was by the same guy that made it for Skyrim
I started Dead Money with Rawr's Talon in my inventory, and because it's a quest item I was able to bring it in and craft it into a deathclaw gauntlet. Now, with Bloody Mess, I smack them in the chest and they just get obliterated. I'm gonna breeze through this
