does anyone have a link to that mod that fixes the terrible player movement? it was by the same guy that made it for Skyrim

Got it working, just need to tune movement values for Fallout NV's unit scale [editline]16th August 2013[/editline] http://filesmelt.com/dl/playerphysics_nv.dll Requires NVSE (or a generic DLL loader). Goes in FONV/Data/NVSE/Plugins. Has some oddities in 3rd person (not nearly as bad as the Skyrim version). Unfortunately doesn't fix the stupid sliding bug when releasing a movement key while rotating the camera.
This should probably get added to the OP or something.
Get Tale of Two Wastelands.
Thankfully the download isn't big for my slow Internet, I will try that. Thank you. My dreams of seeing Fallout 3 and New Vegas in a single game is almost completed. Now to also wait some kind of re-launch with both games merged with all the scripts and stuff fixed :v: Also, anyone has problem downloading mods from Nexus? No matter if I use manual download or the Nexus downloader, all the downloads always get cancelled in the middle. It has been like that since months.
I'd rather not use Bethbryo's shitty difficulty levels that make you do less damage and the enemies do more when it should have smarter AI and balanced damage between the player and NPCs.
I usually just use This mod with Project Nevada to create my own sort of difficulty. Works well, combat is fast, you die very quickly and so do they. Only downside is that SMGs become the bane of your existence for some reason.
Now to also wait some kind of re-launch with both games merged with all the scripts and stuff fixed :v:
That's more or less what TTW is. The only think it lacks from that vision is being 'official'. [editline]25th August 2013[/editline]
you should play hardcore all the way through on hardest difficulty the game is really piss easy unless it's set to that
Erm, no. Hardcore mode isn't hard, it's just tedious, and putting the difficulty on max just means you're using BB guns on bullet sponges.
TErm, no. Hardcore mode isn't hard, it's just tedious, and putting the difficulty on max just means you're using BB guns on bullet sponges.
I didn't mean to imply hardcore and hard mode was difficult, Fallout is piss easy regardless, it's just less piss easy. I would rather my enemies be bullet sponges than have them not be threats at all and have water have a purpose beyond roleplay.
I painstakingly transferred all of my gear to the Sink, and it was only afterwards that I realised you have to dismiss all of your companions every time you want to travel to Big MT. Which is fucking annoying considering I run with ED-E all the time, and I don't want to have to detour to Primm to pick him up after I store some stuff. I was thinking about Harper's Shack, but it doesn't have a fridge. How is my man gonna keep his food and alcohol tasty without a fridge?
Search "OWB tweaks" on the Nexus. There's a mod in that which allows you to bring your companions to The Sink with you.

That's what I'm trying to wrap my mind around. I've tried it and I never found the game any harder for it. Just a hair more tedious. The game practically bombards you with food and water after all.
Well I fucked up Honest Hearts. As soon as I arrived, I was fighting off friendly tribals and unknowingly killed the one friendly NPC who came to give you the quest. Seeing as how I'm playing the game trying not to re-load when I don't reach the desired outcome, I decided to role with it. This leaves me with only Lonely Road left to go. Oddly, when I failed Honest Hearts, the quest you get so you can actually leave Zion (Chaos in Zion), I could not find the map you need to leave Zion. I think one of my mods was the reason behind this, so I had to resort down to using the console to give myself the map.
I have sympathy for you man. However, I actually didn't shoot him at first - I was about to shoot the White Leg who was firing .45 pistol rounds at me, then I noticed he just dropped dead. I didn't see that the guy behind him bashed his head open with the club, and was too busy laughing at what I thought was Bethbryo rearing it's ugly head again to shoot Follows Chalk, and he talked to me and all that sort of shit.
Someone who's doing Arizona Killer right now, do me a favour and shoot him with Esther (GRA) with Tiny Tots or High Yield nukes. Preferably with the Splash Damage perk. Post results. Thanks in advance
I think the real question is why you uninstalled NV in the first place when you still browse this thread and are more than likely to come across someone who says or relates to something that will result in your wanting to play NV again anyway. Never uninstalling it saves the hassle of wanting to play, waiting for it to install, then when it's finally installed you don't feel like playing anymore and uninstall it.
Because my FNV ran like shit after all the mods I've put into it, I intended to do a clean install but never got around to it.
I refuse to play harder than normal with Bethbryo because of how shitty the difficulties are.
Reminds me of the time I was playing Oblivion on my level 38 character and decided to up the difficulty. Wearing all uniques and enchanted gear, maxed on my armor, shield and weapon skills. Upped the difficulty to the max, went into a cave with bandits wielding iron and silver weapons, got killed in three shots. Turned it back down and never turned it up again. [editline]26th August 2013[/editline] And that's to say nothing of my mace doing basically no damage. They were wearing clothes.
In essence food and water should be scarce for it to be difficult, and sometimes that is the case in certain situations, but the real "challenge" from hardcore mode is the non-instant stimpacks, the crippled limbs not being repairable by stimpacks, and the ammo having weight.
Which isn't a challenge at all. It basically means "Followers carry bullets and use Hydra a lot". Which I do anyway. DBs weigh a pound each while hydra is weightless, and my game likes to crash when I open a container if I'm carrying all of my ammo at once. As I said earlier Hardcore doesn't make the game harder at all. It just makes it more tedious.
It keeps you from being able to carry 500 mini nukes.
So I give them to Willow....which I do anyway because my game tends to crash if I have too many bullets in my pack and open a container.
lol the ending of Lonesome Road it seems finishing this the worst possible way is the best way to enjoy the game since it opens up two new areas
lol the ending of Lonesome Road it seems finishing this the worst possible way is the best way to enjoy the game since it opens up two new areas
I still find it incredibly stupid how you have to nuke the faction who's armor you want.
Wait? You get the duster depending on who you bomb? I thought it depended on your fame.
i still find it hilarious that the only thing that can break a couple wire mesh fences at the Mojave Outpost is two bouts of thermonuclear warfare
I find it hilarious how nobody at the Mojave Outpost cares. "Caravan, Citizen, Pilgrim or...?" "A FUCKING NUCLEAR BOMB WENT OFF DOWN THE HIGHWAY, EVERYONE DOWN THERE IS EITHER DEAD OR HORRIFICALLY IRRADIATED INTO SKINLESS MUTANTS." "...I'll put you down for pilgrim."
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.
Wait? You get the duster depending on who you bomb? I thought it depended on your fame.
Not the Duster. An NCR guy is wearing NCR themed power armor if you bomb the Long 15. And a Leigon guy is wearing armor that looks like the Legate's if you bomb Dry Wells.
I choose to not bomb anyone. Because I'm THAT rebel. Anyway, started using Tale of Two Wasteland, I really forgot how different the world of Fallout 3 is compared to the Mojave. I also forgot how easy you can get stimpacks, after visiting Super-Duper Mart, I ended with +50 of those. After using Wanderers Edition for a long time I can't live without it, I need to install it again.
i still find it hilarious that the only thing that can break a couple wire mesh fences at the Mojave Outpost is two bouts of thermonuclear warfare
well chainlink is the most bulletproof substance in source games, id imagine on gamebryo itd be damn near bomb-proof. that being said a sheet of corrugated metal 3mm thick can stop all matter of weapons and shrapnel in the fallout world
I choose to not bomb anyone. Because I'm THAT rebel. Anyway, started using Tale of Two Wasteland, I really forgot how different the world of Fallout 3 is compared to the Mojave. Or you could use J.E. Sawyer's Mod which is basically the Director's Cut version of the game (hell, it is the Director's Cut, IMDB lists him as the director after all :v:) but isn't compatible with PN's Rebalance (it does work perfectly with the rest of Project Nevada, though, and is a very good combination) And yeah, can't go ten meters in F3 without trippin' over a stimpak.
i think my game is stuck or broken here's what happened: i got up to mission where you save president kimball - i think i saved him and the next mission is up then i started the 4 DLCs finished the lot and now i cant continue the main game to see lee oliver i did nuke the ncr and legion
i think my game is stuck or broken here's what happened: i got up to mission where you save president kimball - i think i saved him and the next mission is up then i started the 4 DLCs finished the lot and now i cant continue the main game to see lee oliver i did nuke the ncr and legion
the NCR hates you because you fucking nuked them, that's why you can't do their quests
i did nuke the ncr and legion
There is you problem. Isn't like they were going to take it a simple joke. "What happened?!" "Nothing, the Courier just attacked us with a nuclear bomb, but he was just joking with us." "Oh, okay then."
Just finished all DLC's and the main storyline of fallout 3 for the first time, did the same with new vegas a good while ago but I'm tied between which game is better
How the heck do the NCR and the Legion know that you nuked them in the first place?
Ulysses put on each a note saying Suck dick NCR/Legion xoxo - Courier 6
