Why would you even keep Veronica around, especially with ED-E?
Because she's funny, she can carry a decent amount of salvage, and she can punch deathclaw in the dick without dying.
ED-E has same and better perks than Veronica
I find being able to make ammo in the field FAR more useful than simply being able to see red ticks on my hud farther out. ED-E can't do that until I've completed Lonesome Road, Veronica can do that quite literally from the word go. ED-E's main use to me is carrying faction loot that the others won't carry and acting as a flying Walkman.
and doesn't constantly run in the way of your attacks
I usually just let her handle it and save my ammo entirely.
and get killed.
You mean fall over and pass out for a few minutes?
Boone and ED-E already vaporize everything anyway, so you could have someone actually useful around, like Raul.
My usual party consists of ED-E, Veronica, Cass and Willow. More than that and I have trouble cramming everyone into my car. On sandbox in my player home I'll have Boone, Lily and Raul, so I still get their perks without having a literal army following me around.

a side effect of low difficulty

how can you handle playing on low difficulty whilst having an immortal crew of instant kill homies following you around; one follower can kill most everything without you batting an eye on hard, four and on a low difficulty and i imagine you never have to use a weapon at all
a side effect of low difficulty
You mean not having Hardcore turned on? Even on Very Hard, if HC is turned off they don't die.
Besides I don't like 'hard' games. I play games for either the story, the explosions, both, or to crash cars.
Not that it even matters after I take Almost Perfect and then hunt down the SPECIAL bobbleheads. My Courier is, quite literally, a demigod with all 10 SPECIAL and all 100 skills.
Every companion at the same time.
You can pretty much sit back and enjoy a sandvich in the middle of Quarry Junction and in very hard mode without getting touched once.

That really is too much. I mean, I know I run RobCo Certified and have an army of robots following me, but their usefulness is usually really limited. I only run two companions at once, and when I a run RobCo Technician their weapon skills usually stay below 25 until after like 20th level. So without my robots I really can't do anything. My last run I also ran in a jumpsuit, and even with Signature Armor it wasn't as durable as power armor.
It's your game, though. If you want to be unstoppable demigod without just cutting out the middleman and using tgm, so be it. Not that it doesn't happen by level 30 anyway.
I wanted to know where did the Caesars wanted to go, so I followed them and took a bunch of pictures.
First, they had to deal with some Securitrons

Then they killed a merchant

After that, they struggled to learn the basic concepts of fences.

But in the end they got it right

Then a NCR soldier killed one of them, making all the Caesars attack me. After fleeing a bit and killing some of them, I could disguise myself and follow some of the Caesars that had survived

6 reached the Helios One, maybe more, but I think some of them just teleported past the fence in their desire to kill crappulas. 3 survived the attack of the patrolling NCR soldiers. Then we visited Novac and a merchant killed another Caesar.

Finally, right when we had reached a Legion camp, the two last Caesars detoured because a bunch of Bighorners gave them a bad look.

PD: Never try to block a Displacer Glove attack
My last run I also ran in a jumpsuit, and even with Signature Armor it wasn't as durable as power armor.
Your jumpsuit had way more protection than my last Courier ever had. Left the vault wearing nothing but a short skirt, a pair of aviators and some boots. Wrapped up the game wearing just the aviators and a valence radii-accentuator.
'Course by the time I dinged 50 I had 9DT through perks and implants alone. And I don't use PN's implants, that's turned off entirely. Apparel isn't really all that necessary if you're even quasi-decent at FPSs.
It's your game, though. If you want to be unstoppable demigod without just cutting out the middleman and using tgm, so be it.
I do enjoy being a semi-unstoppable demigod. Of course I can't just charge certain places, even maxed. Quarry Junction, Deathclaw Promontory, the Fort, Camp McCarran, all would be/are suicide charges even with the way I end up. The companions really only deal with the fluff enemies by the time I ding 30. I can't be bothered to dispatch fiends/raiders/vipers/etc at that point.
Not that it doesn't happen by level 30 anyway.
Indeed. 3D Fallout games are notoriously easy anyway, there's no real point in trying to make a challenge out of them. Once you're maxed you're sitting on as much HP as a deathclaw, with potentially twice the DT, and a literal arsenal in your back pocket.
I will say that the first bits of the game aren't a cakewalk, though. But that's partially because of how TTW works. I leave V101 and the best thing I can find weapon wise is a hunting rifle with about 35 bullets, a 10 mil pistol with half as many rounds, a tire iron, and a broken-as-fuck missile launcher with 4-6 missiles. That's gotta get me through DC somehow. :v:

I think I have found my new fetish.
I think I have found my new fetish.
I think I should point out that TestECull never pointed out whether that was (superiour, indomitable) fem!Courier or (dirty, evil, inferiour) male!Courier.
Still hot either way
This has probably been asked a dozen times before, but a friend gave me New Vegas a while ago and all the DLC. Is it a good idea to finish the main game before starting the extra stuff or does it not really matter?

Basically, just start the DLC at around level 15. You'll be fine then. If you complete the main game first, you can't continue after the ending without a mod.

nv isn't open ended unless you get a mod for it.
Can anyone find me a mod that adds chem or drug dealers to new vegas? I really would like to replenish my stocks of turbo since I only have 18

OK, I'm gonna try and jury rig a mod for you that'll get Jack in Red Rock Canyon to sell more durgs to you.

Female, of course. The male body replacers are hideous. Apparently the Nexus thinks dudes are either 450 pound land whales or roidhead body builders.
Still hot either way
I wonder if the skirt I found even works on dudes...

Done. He should sell a lot more chems now.
i just started Fallout 3 again mainly just to get to a position that i can run thru the 4 DLC
(i finished F3 years ago but didnt do no DLC)
this is pretty hard... i mean give me a 10mm pistol, busted ass hunting rifle and 30 rounds and put me up against half a dozen super mutants
da fuc?
i dont remember it being this lopsided
i had a gutful so i spawned a lever action rifle and an infiltrator... and even then its not so easy
maybe i'm playing it wrong
You are. I installed FWE and I'm still having a high success rate against ambushes with my hunting rifle.
In lonesome road, it is worth it launching the missiles to the rnc/caesars legion/both?
Yeah it is....
IF YOU WANT TO BE A WAR CRIMINAL
In lonesome road, it is worth it launching the missiles to the rnc/caesars legion/both?
I would bomb both if you still didn't make it to New Vegas. Otherwise bomb the side you don't like. You don't get bad karma only infamy and you can get cool armor in the new location.
Or be the hero of Mojave and prevent the launch.
Eyy tell me, This tale of two wastelands, can i use it on an already modded new vegas? I know i have to start a new save, but i would like not having to mod the entire game all over..
Yeah, totally. Some of the mods might even work in the F3 wasteland thanks to shared leveled lists. Hell, you can even just keep on playin' with your save, but the F3 main quest might be somewhat borked if you do.

You don't need a new save, actually. You can start playing on an established courier if you want. Also most NV mods work fine, though it should be noted that any mod that does mass bugfixing is likely to cause TTW to shit itself and die.
What does TTW do about perks and levelling from both games?
[editline]6th September 2013[/editline]
Does it combine all of the perks from FO3/NV and do you get one perk every level?
Can anyone find me a mod that adds chem or drug dealers to new vegas? I really would like to replenish my stocks of turbo since I only have 18
"Only"? I'm lucky if I stockpile three at once.
So I've been playing around with the bounty hunter mod(s); the first half was pretty boring but the second half was awesome. Charging through a bunker packed with mercanaries with my minigun blazing was the greatest feeling ever
[editline]6th September 2013[/editline]
And then I carried off all the gold bars in Dead Money so I've had a pretty good run
Started an unarmed run in Fallout 2, never done unarmed or melee in the original fallouts.
Do kick attacks still use the weapon you have equipped e.g. spiked knuckles?
