So I just bought F:NV after getting well over 800 hours on it on my xbox.
I've been looking into modding it, and I downloaded the nexus mod manager. So far I've found this cool mod called A World of Pain, which looked awesome. It's pretty hard to find the good ones on the nexus site, cause it's really clunky and awkward to browse.
Can anyone recommend some good mods? Just as many as possible, I want this experience to be as far as possible from the vanilla game.
I really like mods that add new places, quests, weapons, armor, stuff like that. I don't care about graphics. Thanks in advance!
XRE - CARS!, Tales of the Burning Sands, DEIMOS, Beyond Boulder Dome come to mind.

For Director's Chair, you need Dynavision, not Enhanced Shaders.
The 4 mods are literally a ENB lite, without (big) performance drop.

Nivea's Spice Of Life adds a ton of really well done armor, clothes, hats and so on (and adds all that shit to leveled lists, meaning the NPCs will wear it)
Also, check the Something Awful thread linked in the OP, there's a ton of great mod suggestions in there. (The Armory!)
Oh yeah, and download anything Millenia uploads to the Nexus because he's insanely talented and these guns are fuckin' beautiful.

Pretty good, except for the fact I can access your holiday/world domination plans for 2004. :v:

You should get CASM, it auto saves every 5 mins
It can quite literally save every minute if you want it to.
I just relieved something, they foreshadowed the lonesome road DLC in the E3 trailer, at one point, an
I-bot resembling ED-E get shot with a by a sniper (witch shoots .308) and in the DLC An old "memory" of ED-E's is him getting shot my what sounds like a .308 (Said in a speech challenge) So am i crazy or am i one to something?
P.S. it also says ED-E on the license plate on the side of him.
Is that a blue marked man?
yes it is. he looks like a frozen piece of walking meat.

yes that is ed-e in the trailer
yes ed-e was always planned to be a major part of the story
yes ed-e was shot (multiple times mind you)
yes it was always pretty obvious though
So I installed a bunch of mods and after having to remove some because it crashed at launch, I started playing. I've run into a problem, though. When I enter the Prospector's Saloon in Goodsprings, it crashes.
Now, I know next to nothing about modding F:NV, so I am not sure why it crashes. I've got NVSE, and I am launching the game through that .exe.
Here is a picture of all my mods that are currently active:

If anyone wants to have a try at fixing it, hopefully without removing too many mods, via teamviewer or here, I'll buy you a game on steam or something similar for about 5 bucks.

Try disabling half of your mods, if it still crashes, disable half of what's left and so on, if it works fine, enable half of what you just disabled and so on 'till you find the culprit. (note that if you've got a mod that adds stuff to leveled lists via a script, disabling it will make the game crash on loading the save, but than you'll know what you did wrong). Also, use Fallout Mod Manager instead of that Nexus thing, it's generally thought to be better.

Thank you, I will try that.
I really don't understand how a 20 gauge is more effective at taking down a deathclaw than a fucking gauss rifle.
Get dinner bell and suddenly you have a WMD in your hands, a perfect anti-deathclaw, tunneler, aircraft gun.
Hey. Who has Wasteland Defense for FNV here? I do,and it's so addictive. Seriously, it's amazing. If you don't have it already, Download it right now. Especially in combination with KDS Portable stuff thing camp thing objects portable things maybe

Edit: jesus christ Facepunch what the fuck
Also,I figured out that the max enabled plugins is probably 200. I had more than 200 plugins activated, and NV did weird shit. It treated like all mods weren't there. Like, you load your game, and all your weapons are exclamation points. Even vanilla stuff spawned by a mod is an exclamation point. No sound for custom weapons. Custom companions have no dialogue. Etc. Etc. Just thought i'd share that.

New Vegas is closer to 150 plugins, actually. Technically speaking the game is capable of loading 254 plugins, but in reality it goes to hell pretty quick way before that.
I start noticing wierdness at just 100 plugins, mostly just crashiness. I've never gone so far as to cause graphical glitches.

I have 198 loaded plugins now,and it runs relatively well except for some crashes. But at 200,when I tried to get Niner to the Goodsprings gasstation, all of the above happened.
Its really weird how all other Bethbryo games have a mod limit of like 250 while NV has one of 150.
It's really weird how New Vegas shits on my computer with only one mod, yet you guys can run that many

I'm having stability issues at just 70 active plugins, mostly related to Nevada Skies being derp. My game would likely just shoot itself if I tried to load 198 different plugin :v:
any mods that improve the texture of general armor?
Bornagain retextrues.
Are there any nice military uniform mods? Like officer uniforms or anything?
are there any mods that fix fallout 3/nv's player character's ridiculously huge hands?
are there any mods that fix fallout 3/nv's player character's ridiculously huge hands?
it's a medical condition
are there any mods that fix fallout 3/nv's player character's ridiculously huge hands?
It comes from living in a vault its a skin condition
coincidentally being shot in the head also causes it
