as fuck i wish i knew that i had to make the brotherhood side with the ncr to get them on my side when i'm independent, and i couldn't get rid of the old elder based on the dialogue, it seemed like hardin would have pledged allegiance to an independent vegas if i helped him so, because i lacked all that knowledge, i told yes man to ignore them
If you wish to have a BoS/NCR alliance you need to talk to MacNamara after finishing Still in the Dark. He'll give you another quest, and after completing that, he'll lend you support.
I hear that was snuck in by one of the original fallout writers because he was absolutely sick of the idea that fallout was about picking up the pieces and progressing back into civilization. Apparently, fallout is about how terrible and primitive humanity is and that all kindness and attempts at advancement would be cruelly snuffed out, according to him. He managed to completely wreck Fallout 2 via the fallout bible and he threatened to do the same to New Vegas.
Oh, you mean Chris Avellone? He used to insist that a mixture of FEV and radiation was involved with ghoulification. Can't say I'm surprised, from what I know the guy wanted to make the NCR look as bad as possible. Also, speaking of ghouls, the ghouls in Fallout 3 look really stupid. The female ghoul voices are also really atrocious.

I'm disappointed no one's made a chef hat mod for NV. I want to run around wearing one with a cleaver or cosmic knife and go full on Butcher Pete on the entire wasteland. Edit: plus the ultra luxe has a proper kitchen so yeah that too.
i did that quest a long time ago, and i made hardin the elder
Then there's no BoS/NCR alliance. 'Tis why I've never installed Hardin.
Fallout should have its own Saxton Hale. Just some extremely muscular dude who kills deathclaws with his bare hands and does generally badass things, like chewing ass and kicking bubblegum. There'd be also multiple post-apocalyptic comics about him.

Most Vault Dwellers/Chosen Ones/Lone Wanderers/Couriers end up so powerful even Saxton Hale would have to bow to their orders...
lack of actually audible one-liners
You can say the one-liners yourself
You can say the one-liners yourself
Yeah, except the NPCs won't react to your extremely shitty puns and one-liners.
Grognak the Barbarian is pretty much this.
Yep, but he's just some piece of fiction in the Fallout universe. Or is he?
what why [editline]13th October 2013[/editline] so i just beat new vegas there were still alot of things that still had to be done, but i can go to the save that was right before the big decision for some reason arcade didn't show up with the other remnants and for some reason johnson and moreno were watching the ending with me oh, and i couldn't get lanius' blade from him i take it from his corpse, but it doesn't appear in my inventory
logans loophole is literally the best trait in the game brb buying then injesting lethal amounts of psycho, slasher, med x, buffout, mentats and alcohol that will boost your stats for several in game days the damage bonuses alone are worth it, +25% damage from psycho, +25% damage from slasher, +50% from better criticals perk, +25% from grunt/cowboy perk (both stack with combat knife so +50%), and +15% sneak attack critical basically makes the combat knife/chances knife a motherfucker
you know what'd be great? if your companions interacted with each other, mainly if at the lucky 38, and, if you have a mod for it, when traveling together it'd be interesting to hear lily's opinion on heavy-drinkers like cass, or how raul might feel about rex

You can swap it out at the autodoc in OWB and still keep the benefits.
Disarming a mine caused this... [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/AbHF6Qh.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/1Q0zI9x.jpg[/thumb] ... I'm scared. First time I have ever seen G.E.C.K. up close in Fallout 3. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/TIx4kWd.jpg[/thumb] It's nice how similar it is from Fallout 2

I just seen a deathclaw that was just standing rise into the sky, twice.
why is it that the game doesn't know what to do with flame weapons? they're governed by energy weapons, but certain explosives gangs(boomers) talk about usage of them, and you need to pass an explosives check to get ED-E to produce flamer fuel for you it was like this in fo3, where the fire damage increase perk required a 50 in explosives speaking of explosives, imma make my second character explosives oriented. what side skills should i dabble in other than sneak to place c-4 on everybody

don't know if mentioned already, or is just fake, but i read this reddit post that claimed Victor, Benny, and Vulpes were considered to be possible companions, with Victor being the "House" companion, Vulpes is obvious, and Benny being an "Independent" Vegas companion, like Arcade to an extent. that would have been neat, huh? having your own cowboy robot or going on that date with benny or even having someone that supports legion enough to wear their armor, unlike a certain vaquero
I doubt that those are true because Ulysses was supposed to be the Legion companion before the time constraints that Bethesda Softworks pushed onto Obsidian, so take the rest of that info with large amounts of salt.
the guy who posted it said this was in addition to Ulysses as legion companion after all, we do sorta have two NCR companions(Cass and Boone) and, well, this is like third-hand info, coming from a guy on reddit who said he got it from a conversation with one of the developers

meh, it's just one of those things that makes you think about if that were true, and how the game would be different, and possibly more interesting.
I'm about to start another play through of FO:NV, any absolutely must have mods that weren't around ~18 months ago?
I'm about to start another play through of FO:NV, any absolutely must have mods that weren't around ~18 months ago?
I'm afraid all the best mods were made quite a while ago.
