[t]http://i.imgur.com/TwOJ8ZY.png[/t] Will laying lots of things in one house like this make the game crash eventually? Is it safer to place my loot in a box or is it ok to lay it on the floor?
Either can do it. You can either crash the game via havok overload with too many loose items on the ground, or you can crash the game by making it try to load more items in a container than it is able to load. I've had both happen over the years. My suggestion is to spread your loot out amongst a few containers and only display items you really want on display.

I've just finished setting TTW up and I'm not exactly sure how I'm meant to get mods to work.. For example, is it possible to use FWE/MMM in FO3 and FNV and if so, how.. Thanks

Thanks
Most NV mods work out of the box. A few might need patching(NV_Interiors, for one, but chucksteel is one of the TTW devs and has a merged version of both interiors mods called TTW_Interiors uploaded to the TTW forum). FO3 mods are a bit more involved. Instructions are on the TTW forum. Big ones might not be worth the trouble, though.

I don't suppose anyone knows a mod that makes it so stimpaks don't heal crippled limbs similar to hardcore mode, but doesn't have any other extra effects? Most of the things I've been able to find add complicated alternative healing systems, whereas I only really want to make it so I have to use a doctor's bag to fix a broken leg.
Could someone recommend a good list of mods from FO3/FNV that will work with TTW then?
I wouldn't use any FO3 mods that aren't listed in the TTW forum. Searching for "TTW" on New Vegas Nexus has some converted and patched FO3 mods too. Big mods like FWE are probably just too big and complicated to port over. I haven't scoured the TTW forum to see if it's there, but I wouldn't count on it. For NV, however, most mods should work, even bigger ones like Project Nevada, WMX and (maybe? I haven't tried it) FOOK. Some bugs do pop up, like some things only activate when you wake up in Doc Mitchell's house because of a trigger, like I wasn't able to sprint in PN until I took the train to the Mojave. Other mods made for NV just won't show up in DC (because of scripts, leveled lists, other reasons) but will work just fine in the Mojave.
[thumb]http://puu.sh/58MHT/f864908369.jpg[/thumb] Gotta start that Robot Army somehow...
An army of 3 robots. If you have more than 10 npcs on-screen then gamebryo will probably just shit itself and die.
that or the horrible gunplay will make you unable to track what is going on. i accidentally attacked a NCR soldier by the camp at searchlight....like 10-12 guys with service riffles spamming bullets like they're cookies and my health went from 100% to 1% in the blink of an eye
An army of 3 robots. If you have more than 10 npcs on-screen then gamebryo will probably just shit itself and die.
Reminds me of Way of the Samurai 3. One of the endings is you becoming a bandit chief and dying via bolivian army ending. They try so hard to make that scene cool. So there's like forty guys on screen at once and the framerate just tanks to like 15FPS.

At Hoover Dam, though, it was atrocious.

what's your guys' thoughts on the classic fallout weapons mod?
what's your guys' thoughts on the classic fallout weapons mod?
I enjoy it
I'm gonna play through New Vegas for the first time. Is putting a lot of points into speech actually a good option, or is it best to ignore it?
I'm gonna play through New Vegas for the first time. Is putting a lot of points into speech actually a good option, or is it best to ignore it?
i've heard speech is extremely powerful so, like, instead of shooting or fisting your way out, you say you'll suck their dick and then never suck their dick
I'm gonna play through New Vegas for the first time. Is putting a lot of points into speech actually a good option, or is it best to ignore it?
When I play I make sure to get my non-combat stats up as quickly as possible because it opens up a lot of peaceful solutions to situations. Speech is especially important for it.
I'm gonna play through New Vegas for the first time. Is putting a lot of points into speech actually a good option, or is it best to ignore it?
it will solve basically all your problems. all you really need is speech and a combat skill and you can do pretty much anything the game throws at you, barring one or two exceptions
I always invest points into Speech when I start a new game. It's far more helpful than in Fallout 3 because it factors into far more of the dialogue and success is no longer based around a percentage. Lockpick is another skill I always raise too since there are so many locked doors and containers.
So. Say I made a plugin that puts Rhiannon in Radio New Vegas or something. Would you download it? Alternatively, if you can scrounge up stuff you feel would blend well with this song, I could make a full radio station mod.
I'd listen to Mojave Rock Radio, but the only way you're releasing it is if you release just the plugin, DJ audio, and perhaps some commercials made specifically for the station. It would be up to the users to add in their own tracks. Including the music itself is nigh impossible with this genre since anything worth listening to is on an RIAA label.

I've got a couple of radio stations here (made by Facepunchers, iirc) with music that I'm almost positive is on RIAA labels. Neither the RIAA or the Facepunch mods have stepped in when they've come up in the thread, and they're even still linked in the OP. [editline]5th November 2013[/editline] basically as long as i keep it off the Nexus (which I will as my main is still banned), it should be ok

I do long for a rock station in the Mojave. I'd toss quite a bit of 'Tallica and Led Zeppelin on there, perhaps some AiC and STP as well. Maybe a smattering of Hendrix and Soundgarden?
Well if you think you can keep it up without the RIAA having it shut down via takedown notice to the file host then feel free. I do long for a rock station in the Mojave.
Easy enough - http://www.netswim.net is my domain, I'll probably toss it there someplace.
I'd toss quite a bit of 'Tallica and Led Zeppelin on there, perhaps some AiC and STP as well. Hendrix seems doable, Led Zeppelin could probably be pulled off well enough. Soundgarden I have no idea.

Early Genesis'd be rad as well(shit my inner prog rock nerd's emerging) And while we're talking radio station mods, a drone/ambient station'd be the pits. Add some Earth, Boards Of Canada's Tomorrow Harvest album (which has a pretty overt apocalyptic theme so it'd fit thematically to boot) and you're in business I mean listen to this shit: it basically screams "a person wandering through an abandoned, scorched postapocalyptic wasteland"
What are essential FO3 mods? I've only ever played it vanilla, so i need some expertise here.
