So what's the deal with fallout 3 now that GFWL is shut down/will be shutting down? Is bethesda gonna patch the game or something?
hopefully this means steam achievements
I would always kill him to get those 6 Sunset star caps.
Funfact, just like Manny Vargas' holotape, his bottlecaps are tagged to always be pickpocketable regardless of Sneak skill.
Anyone know any mods that add DLC to leveled lists and vendors? I've seen in some of Alchestbreach's videos he has Dead Money weapons at the Gun Runners and in loot containers but I can't find the mod
Complete the DLC, it adds all the shit to the vendors. You'll start finding .45 Auto if you complete HH, for example.

That bit about the DLC is partially wrong. If you complete Honest Hearts, Mojave Merchants will start to sell most non-unique weapons added in the add-on along with their weapon mods (for example, the .45 Auto Pistols and the .45 Auto Tommy Gun). However, for Dead Money, everything unique and new to the add-on can only be found in the Sierra Madre. If you didn't brought along everything you wanted before leaving the Sierra Madre, those things are unobtainable from that point on. Also, the Holorifle you get at the start of the add-on is the only one in the entire game, so keep that with you. Unless you use mods to make them appear at merchants or spawn them or something....
Actually, some weapons from DM are added to merchants. Police Pistols, Automatic Rifles, etc. If only because it makes sense. Sierra Madre stuff though...
Although, that's kind of the entire point of the DLC, the fact the Sierra Madre stuff is unavailable after you leave.

Lonesome Road/OWB ammo and guns are added to merchants too, IIRC.
The thing is, merchants will be selling those weapons but no NPCs (outside of the said DLC) will be carrying those weapons unless you have DLC Weapons Integration.
It just seems so ridiculous that no person in Mojave Wasteland seems to be carrying a M1911 pistol or a Tommy Gun.
Also, I hate it when a mod needs the Weapon Animation Replacer. It just looks kind of weird when the character lowers their gun in first-person view

I think you might like this mod then:

I already have that mod (I even mentioned it in my post)
But thanks, I guess. Have a pat on the back or something.

Oh, I missed that, sorry I'll search for another mod for that then.
Edit: Well I looked and could not find anything, perhaps someone else can help you find a mod for that.

AFAIK Jeannie May's safe key is also always pickpocketable.
Also, has anyone checked out that Ares custom race on New Vegas? It has fancy lights.
It looks okay but it is hilariously out of place with the rest of the game's art.
I hope cryo/ice weapons are in the next game
i want a shoulder mounted icicle cannon

When the NCR military goes up against the cyro cannon, they'll stop wishing for a nuclear winter.
After all these years, I have FINALLY managed to make a character that looked like Selvaria instead of... Whatever those clone things from Dr. Who were. That's right, you guys can stop posting that image this time.

Finally.

Although I think half the reason I actually made her look decent this time probably has to do with me toning it the hell down on the paleness. But eh, even if I took the old face and made it a bit more toned, it still had that Downs shape to it.
Why not download one of those custom races from the nexus to make it look less like a meatface.

But Selvaria is supposed to look like a meatface...
Anyway, FUCK, seriously, why does FONV run like shit compared to FO3 and Skyrim? I'm starting to remember why I always drop my FONV runs in favor of those two even though FONV is clearly the better game (But CRYSTAL clearly worse software compared to those two.).
[editline]13th November 2013[/editline]
You know - Why are we caring about character faces anyway? You're not going to see them in first-person (Where the game clearly plays best - Truthfact), and in third-person your character's face is likely to be obscured by any half decent helmet - Nevermind that the camera doesn't revolve around your character like in Skyrim.

Hold F. Pan camera.
Hold F. Pan camera.
I'm well aware of that. But that's a hotkey you have to actively hold down, where Skyrim's camera free panned without holding down keys. And FONV has a real shitty third person view anyway.
Hmm. My fallout 3 worked perfectly yesterday, but now it snaps from fullscreen into some weird-ass windowed mode between the start-up slides. Any ideas?

And stays windowed?
Try: [ALT] + [ENTER]
Toggles fullscreen & windowed. I'm not sure if it works with the gamebro engine, though.

Try alt-tabbing, should fix it.
So... Favorite thing you like to collect in Fallout 3/New Vegas?
I collect normal things like Nuka-Cola, Scrap Metal and Pre-War Money.
Sunset Sarsaparilla.
Loads of it.

The artist of that comic has some great stuff.

Sort of. I enters some fake-fullscreen mode where the game is now running at 150 fps without v-sync. My Gpu reaches 80 degrees and the game seems to be running at double-pace. I need the game to accept my authority and stay in fullscreen from the get-go.
Fallout 3 keeps crashing when I save and I'm starting to get a little fucking majorly pissed off. How do I fix this?
How many saves do you have. I know the game slows considerably if you have a ton of files.
Also try disabling autosave on fast travel/entering new area, that can help.
I have 20 hard saves and the two quick/autosave files. Also I quicksave a ton. Would that effect anything?
I'll try that, though it mostly a problem with manual saving.
Something that I really love of Fallout games, isn't about the main character story, but the stories from the world is around the main character. Things that happened before and after the different wars. Like the Vault-Tec and their experiments.
I remembered this because I just revisited Vault 11.

Fallout has Morrowind levels of fantastic lore.
