You can try installing tale of two wastelands, play both in the same game but with the better New Vegas engine, it does however have a few weird bugs but its perfectly playable
The Pitt is also really underwhelming, it has like 7 quests.
I think that's why I've never taken the plunge into the DLC, but today I said screw it and played it. I think the quest line is severely lacking, but atleast leaves you with the 'did I really just do that?' moment.
I haven't played Fallout 1 or 2, but i've seen lots of people say Fallout 3 ruins the canon. Can someone explain what the problems with it are?
It doesn't strictly ruin the canon, just introduces a lot of things that weren't in the previous games.
Like there are cars everywhere. Brotherhood being nice and caring, Enclave hating everything and everyone (both factions previously only cared about their own goals and each other, not that much about the other wastelanders). The setting is completely different.
I don't really mind. It's true that the writing of F3, well, sucks, but it doesn't strictly retcon anything that has previously happened.
new picture on the tumblr...

thumb'd for huge size
maybe it has to do with that whole other post with the "crying".
theres faded wording on it, says "ELLA" on the top, and "victorie a notre sauveur..." on the bottom
-snip- old news..

everyone who says that gets into a pissy little bitch stance simply because bethesda wanted to make their own story in the fallout universe as opposed to just sticking once again to the west coast.
aka they're retarded.

If this were to happen, I could only imagine the Fallout fanbase setting off a nuke that would make Megaton look like a frag.
Is NMM actually better than FOMM, since FOMM has not been updated for a long while?
This song is from Wasteland 2 Apparently, well atleast that is what The Escapist Said

I'm waiting for the screen to randomly flash from a nuclear explosion (definitely would be the Megaton explosion cloud) with the text 'loljk' somewhere in the center of the screen flashing.
But, in either case, I really do hope that BethSoft just breaks down and reveals that FO4 is x-months away from release.

Wasteland 2's soundtrack is being made by Mark Morgan, so it makes sense.
Why does my pipboy radio in fallout 3 sound terrible. When listening to anything but music it sounds fine, crystal clear. The moment any music starts playing it becomes kinda crackly and poppy and a little laggy. Radios that are in the map play music just fine.

What's the problem with cars being everywhere? Is this an actual canon problem, or a common-sense problem (they would have rusted away or something)?

You are walking out of a station's range.
You are walking out of a station's range.
I was standing at GNR and it was doing that, its done that everywhere. Any station that plays music will do it. But not the commentary. Three Dog or Eden speaking sounds just fine, its just with music.
I have yet to complete the quest to put the new dish up but when its every station I don't know if thats gonna do anything.

Works well when you're kicking ass.
A longshot, but does anyone have a licenced copy of pepakura? I found a perfect set of files to 3D print a rangers mask from, but they're stuck in that godforsaken proprietary format.

And you can't export with the trial version

It doesn't ruin the canon it just had a few major problems:
The Capitol Wasteland looks like its 20 years after the bombs fell when its actually 200 years after.
The Enclave are mostly generic bad guys and the Brotherhood are mostly generic good guys, in the previous games both the Enclave and Brotherhood were trying to further their goals with very little regard for the people of the wasteland.
The GECK in previous games was described as being able to quickly establish large settlements with all the basic requirements to survive. In Fallout 3 the Enclave and the Brotherhood go to war over a glorified water filter.
In Fallout 2 the Enclave's central government were wiped out in the destruction of their oil rig base via nuclear explosion. In Fallout 3 they are not only operating as though they didn't take a major blow but are actually stronger than ever.
The Enclave fanatically follow a poorly programmed computer for no reason when it is more likely that lower members of the Enclave government would have taken over. They are an enclave after all.

I thought it was made pretty clear that Colonel Autumn was actually in charge of the East Coast Enclave, since towards the end he [sp]directly overrides Eden's orders to not kill you.[/sp]
DC was the Capital of more or less the top power in the fallout universe, makes sense to have it look like it had been bombed a hundred times harder than a lot of previous locations sitting in the middle of a desert, I think.
In all honesty, if it's just a troll, I hope it forces Bethesdas hand anyways.
I thought the canon in 3 was fine except with the whole "black and white" factions going on.

That's what happens when Microsoft decides to retire DirectSound from Vista and up and a ton of games happen to use it. I, by luck had a Creative x-fi sound card and could use Alchemy to translate the calls to OpenGL for smooth sound. You can thanks microsoft whenever you please. They just up and decided that software sound was a good idea and not just that, but let's entirely disable hardware support in DirectX.

I hope the next fallout has 2 major factions that more than "THE PUREST ANGELS ALIVE" and "HITLER AND STALIN FUCKED SATAN TO MAKE US"

So how do I fix, I have seen some people say to download k-light codec, which I did and it did nothing.
I don't know if I'm late but the tumblr site is wiped clean. There's no posts in the archive either.

i thought the tumblr was likely fake and that the site was probably legitimate?
i thought the tumblr was likely fake and that the site was probably legitimate?
Yeah, but people are still intrigued by the tumblr.
Honestly if that tumblr is fake the person running it is putting a hell of a lot of effort into it.
