but ED-E is awsome in lonely road cas hes helpful and stuff,
im not saying i didn't like his AI, or the rather annoying cowboy noise, but i loved him in general
By "it" I meant hitscan. Although playing with ED-E has given double meaning to what I said. Damn thing keeps breaking my cover despite me setting its ROE to what essentially should be "ONLY FIRE WHEN FIRED UPON YOU CUNT".
I can't snipe for shit (Silenced) without him going loud and bringing the horde down on me.
On another note, bit disappointed there's no extra dialog for taking down Vulpes Inculta at Nipton.

Unless there is later on and I haven't gotten to it yet.
Also, on the subject of Mission Mojave: Extra windows is nothing when the house you start the game in was built with the same technology as the TARDIS.
Mission Mojave taught me something that I've never really noticed before.

how do you fuck up this badly
Not as bad as that tiny ass tower where the BoS kill the Followers at.
To be fair, they really only did have 2 or so years to work on new vegas, and they had to cut a shitton of stuff and skip out on a lot of polish. The fact that they got as much done as they did is pretty impressive.
It reminds me of when they clip objects through the terrain to make them appear smaller than they actually are
Does anybody know if there is a sort of place like Oasis from Fallout 3 which houses a NPC like Harold in Fallout New Vegas? Haven't played in while so I can't remember if there was such a one of a kind NPC.

Well, Vault 22 is kinda like Oasis.
In a very broad sense
I don't think New Vegas is not as polished as other Bethbryo games, if anything it's more polished.
See: Fallout 3 has a good atmosphere(if it was after the bombs) but the story was lacking, and you couldn't explore Washington without using metro-stations...
Oblivon was great quest wise but it was flawed by many thing(Potato)
Skyrim was good, but there is still too many thing missing
Morrowind got the best atmosphere of all tes, but a shitty combat system(until later level) and now dating graphics(but since it moddable it's not a big deal, you can grab an overhaul and BAM)
The only thing I feel was sad in NV, is all the content cut because of time/power limit...
So, any rumors or tips on the next Fallout game yet or are we still stumbling in the dark on that one?

Probably not this year since they are probably going to show off the new horror game.
Thing is Bethesda is only publishing Zwei, not developing it.
Are there some mods for Fallout 3 that lower the amount of health and damage the S.M Overlords, Ghoul Reavers and Albino Radscorpions have? I already got the Reaver's one. I had to deal with 5-7 Reavers in the metros, so much ammo gone to waste. Why were they made so tough anyways?

Weren't they extremely tough because of a glitch? Or was that the Swamp People?
swamp people had absurd damage resistance because they expected you to fight them with end game weapons
it gets pretty retarded when you get 3 shot with a hunting rifle when you are wearing power armor and they take 50 bullets to the face and still live
Weren't they extremely tough because of a glitch? Or was that the Swamp People?
The Swamp People were deliberate bullet sponges (they even have perks for +25 unstoppable damage dealt and -25 damage taken if I'm not mistaken), and I don't think the Reavers/Overlords/Albino Radscorps are glitched either - it just seems like Bethesda to just give them more health instead of, I dunno, making them interesting to fight or something.

Eh, they weren't that bad. Didn't have much trouble with them on my Pre-War Casualwear only run. It was tough, and I'm pretty sure that the melee ones dealt more damage than a Deathclaw, but not impossible - and I wasn't packing endgame weapons either, just a Lincoln Repeater, a Double Barrel Shotgun and a scoped .44.
quick question about project reality and nskies uwrlified, which one is preferred/has more features?
also, are there any mosd for the latest nskies to put it into mcm?
nevada skies better one

Project Reality makes things look more like a proper wasteland while Nevada Skies has more lush and sunny skyboxes like a proper Nevada would have. Its all up to personal taste.
I should probably start spicing up my Fallout 3 run by playing with a limited amount of class-based weapons and armor, instead of my usual "take 8 things with different ammo types that deal the most damage while wearing power armor" route.
Totally not gonna base these weapon and armor choices off TF2 nope nosiree.
Also I need to stop taking OP perks from mods. Really, I got a perk that gives me 25% invisibility every time I crouch. I'm a walking stealth boy with an OP shocksword.

It was posted on April 1st, I doubt it's legit.
Also, after starting my first ever fallout 3 "Energy weapons stealthy dude" run, holy shit is the sledgehammer and vats useful for sneak attacks.

super heated saturnite power fist is funnier, scrambles flaming bits of people everywhere, yet because of my sneak skill they never see the other flaming bits of people all around them till they too are part of the pile

By the time I remembered that energy weapons can't be silent, it was too late.
I won't be putting to much into stealth, it's really only for the first part of the game so I don't get completely wrecked, as a single dinky laser pistol is probably all I'll have for the first while. Once I get to the late game, I'll be in power armor melting dudes left and right.
Go figure though, I have found a shit ton of awesome firearms. That I can't use.
I wish there was more energy weapons variety.
i would dig a plasma grenade launcher.
I didn't know about [sp]Caesar's brain tumor.[/sp] I had 10 luck, so the entire quest was just hilarious.
"Courier 6! How'd you do that?"
"iunno i just pulled it out i guess"

I've played over 100 hours of this fucker and I still haven't even beaten it.

I've done a stealth-oriented AMR/This Machine character a couple times. You don't need a silent weapon if you can one-shot the bastards from three counties over, hehe. I carried a suppressed pistol for the close-in stuff, but my primary weapons were also extremely loud. Didn't really affect a thing.
I'm not entirely sure what EW arms you would use to do the above as I don't use energy weapons, though. I've always felt they weren't any better than old fashioned bullet spitters.

The reavers were a glitch. They would take damage normally until their ragdolls started freaking out. When that happens they could shrug off MIRV salvo after MIRV salvo.

When they do that they're glitching out and nigh indestructible.
I've also encountered aliens on Mothership Zeta with > 100 DR. wat
It's not like the ai are smart enough to follow the trail of plasma or laser anyway

Those aliens with more that 100 DR are probably the ones with shields on them. You got to keep shooting them.

Nah. I made a mod that removed the 110% damage resist they had. I'm sorry but you shouldn't need 25 rounds out of an overpowered-as-all-hell M82A3 anti-materiel rifle to down a simple alien!
My mod gave them a much more reasonable 30DR.

Oh shit, you're right, I remember when I was shooting one in the presidential metro tunnel and all of a sudden my shots started passing straight through him. They still do have insane amounts of HP and deal way too much damage, so even unglitched they're a bitch.

They're not too bad if you sneak crit headshot them, though. An Anti-materiel rifle of some sort will do the trick.
