Just me or do the beeps on the survivor2299 page sound different?
Yeah, it's another new morse code. I believe it's the 3rd one they had on that site now.
McCarran Music Radio is so good.
Descending on the Legion Raid Camp like the fifty-caliber angel of death while Fortunate Son blares is something I'll take to the grave.
Man. I hope FO4 will have a companion as badass as boone.
Altho Veronica was my favorite companion (felicia day <3) Boone is -imho- the most effective companion when it came to playing a melee-only class.
Just took down The Fort with Boone and all the heavy weapons I had, so fucking satisfying to cut off Caesar Salad's head and throw it somehwere
All those ballistic fists though, good lord I got fisted
na he just gives you a key to the house in goodsprings and he also gives you a key to the underground, both of which you can open with sufficient caps and lockpicking, you can kill all the creatures yourself to gain a good xp boost as well as its fun to try to take down a horde of lizard/geco things and take on the big guy
No geckos in the underground dude.. Just a hell of a lot of radiation, ghouls, ghouls with guns, super mutants and lakelurks, some of which had a Name and were a mini-Boss or something. Killed a bunch of them.
But no quests for them. :( And to clarify, in Frankie's Quest, after the "Enter the Underground" part, how many follow-up quests are there exactly? Mine is stuck as a Misc quest and it didn't complete.
Not that I have lack of quests to do.. still got all the DLC's, rest of the main-quest, some quarry miner quests (Awop probably), rest of NV bounties, and probably some other stuff that I may or may not come across.
Not to mention I've completed over 200 quests by now, and it's my first playthrough. Gotta squeeze a lot from it because I'm not sure if I'll ever create a new char.
I, too, would like to see actual energy weapons for once. As it stands the only thing I've encountered are fisher price toys. They don't feel even remotely dangerous, they feel like something you'd use in lasertag.
I didn't really mind that much since the actual guns in FO3/NV feel like BB guns as well.
Boone is -imho- the most effective companion when it came to playing a melee-only class.
So you just made him do all the work then?
Whenever I reach into a gore bag and find 82 bullets I figure I'm just going through various organs and tissues, pulling out little fragments of metal one by one like a surgeon. Like, I have a thousand bullets, maybe it's not worth the few extra in the bag.
Perhaps the gore bags were supposed to be prisoners, but they shot them too much so they put the gore in bags to keep them together, dragged them back to Vault 87 and dunked them in FEV, all the while pretending the bags are living breathing people so they don't get in trouble with the higher-ups.
So you just made him do all the work then?
Yes and no. I made him either lure enemies away or towards me. then took'em out with my sweet sweet Oh Baby! ... Love that Super Sledge.
He was a good sniper was all. Also help taking care of leftovers.
tl;dr yup :D
The Bloody Mess perk is actually disgusting.
Pretty weird when an enemy's entrails fly a mile away from you everytime.

When you're playing a sniper/rifleman character Boone can be really annoying. Every time you line up a good shot Boone will steal your kill. As a positive though nothing will ever sneak up on you again.

I can only imagine how it would look in Fallout 4.

I think that is the idea of the perk. I supposed to be one of the funny perks/trait of the Fallout series.

I took the Bloody Mess at some point in my game, but I was disappointed with the effects so I took it out via a console command.
Didn't like the thing where legs/hands get blown off by a headshot..
Also, does anyone love shooting self-made Legion Denarius coin shots with a Sawed-Off Shotgun?

It's my definite favorite Holdout weapon at least.

On my New Vegas playthrough I was nigh invincible by the end because I had done so many sidequests before undertaking the end, including all of the DLC even though I had CAGE installed. Veronica was with me for most of it. I had her decked out in T-51b power armor along with ED-E and Rex by my side, and we went up against the Monster of the East.
Veronica runs right up to him, gets hit by two chuckleheads with power fists, and then gets hit by him, killing her and launching her across the camp. It was like fucking slow motion. I got so enraged that not once did I relent from my attack. Every time Lanius got up, I knocked him back done with that big ass bumper sword and eventually lopped his head off.
After that, I used the Endless Warfare mod to load up with some NCR soldier companions, stormed The Fort, and killed Caesar. Then my game crashed, but victory was still sweet none-the-less.

Reason why I did not use the bloody mess perk. Bits and pieces of bandits everywhere.
Also, may I present you all to my armory.

That's the Underwater Hideout right? I had that for a while but then my game started crashing whenever I tried to load into the armory cause of all the guns. :v:

Underground Hideout 4 ever. Too bad it never had GRA weapons support.
Oh! I forgot to share with you guys.
I made a Nightmare Fuel Feral Ghoul mod for the game, namely by using these two mods and a soundpack for them I made myself using sounds from Black Mesa.

It was so much worse in the originals. The sprites already had a bad habit of stacking on each other, but with Bloody Mess the corpse sprite was usually bigger than normal.
Here's some news on Fallout 3 Decrapified. I noticed that it's near impossible to change the major scripted events without the game committing suicide. Either I suck at this or it was just designed this way, I bet it's the former :suicide:
I'd be better off just remaking Fallout 3 completely, but that's a little bit too much work. I guess I could... try? I have a feeling that it would mostly become an incredibly huge train set that takes forever to assembly.

Finally gave up on New Vegas
started a new game after reinstalling the game due to how I could not load my last save because it would get stuck in the loading screen
After about 10 hours the game crashes and my save gets corrupted, which renders it impossible to load, even on previous saved games.
Fuck it forever
In my case, the game sometimes crashes after using fast travel or sometimes gets stuck loading forever a map. Other than that I can live.
I always wondered what would happened if Bethesda releases the source code of Fallout 3/New Vegas. IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES... I know, dreaming too much.
protip: add new vegas and related exes to firewall exception list or something
prevents loading screen stuckage for no discernible reason
Also turn off the game's autosave if you haven't already. That thing causes more crashes than it's worth.

Just download CASM so you never have to worry about your saves again.

this really works? WHY BETHESDA!
Just download CASM so you never have to worry about your saves again.
I downloaded it, but it just seems to make it crash whenever it saves. Plus it seems to completely bollocks up the UI for some reason. It might be a mod conflict, although I don't have any mod that changes it.
[editline]asdf[/editline]
And now it seems to have fucked up my save or something. Instead of loading any of my saves it just restarts the game from the beginning.
are you implying you have some sort of insight into their appearance in fallout 4?
Energy weapons are a critical aspect of the fallout universe?
