I don't know what the acronyms stand for (is NCRA New California Republic Army or something?) so it's kind of hard to make any judgement on that at this point.
Couldn't be the NCR army. NCR didn't exist until sometime around the turn of the 23rd century and that transmission heavily implies it was from the US ARmy, which stopped existing in 2077.
Though, when you say "how bad the cities got", do you mean how badly they were bombed, or how much they've descended into anarchy in the interceding time?
I would assume how hard they were bombed.

I would assume how hard they were bombed.
I dunno. I assumed that if NCRA was what I thought it was, then it could have just been NCR scouts traveling across the country. We still know basically jack shit about this, though. I'm a little bummed out by the uniformity of the destruction, though. Sure, we saw DC and it was still partly recognizable, but if it's the same for all other US cities, then that's not exactly the groundwork for interesting future settings. I'm still personally rooting for Denver, Chicago, and Seattle (in that order of preference) for future Fallout games.
is it me or do all the miniguns suck? in NV the Avenger was pretty good but i just couldn't play with it because the sound is bugged :/ the normal minigun is pretty much useless
I said feel, though. I do agree that they look functional, heck you could probably build an AER9 that actually fired a visible red laser pulse, but when I fire them they feel like they're about as dangerous as a pillow made of cotton candy and marshmallows. Having used them I know they are in fact viable, but they just don't feel like weapons to me. The Q38 Matter Modulator hits just as hard as a brush gun, for example, but the brush gun feels and sounds like something that you'd use for the 1812 Overture. And that's what sells me on firearms over energy weapons. At least until we get to the gauss rifle. It, too, hits like a truck and feels like it. But needing 10mfcs per shot and only having one shot in the 'mag' pretty much ruins that for me, too.
Get EVE, it makes laser weapons sound less like toy guns. It also gives them ironsights (or rather, weird animated laser sights)
I assume stage 7 is referring to how bad the cities got after getting blown to smithereenies?
I think it's referring to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Nuclear_Event_Scale#Level_7:_Major_accident
Finish the main-quest first they said. Do the side-quests later they said. I am now like level 26 with 120,000 caps, and I still haven't even met "the people who failed to kill me" at the Tops casino I think. I did visit the Strip very briefly though, and managed to make the Freeside junkie Kings to regard me as yet another "NCR grunt," just as intended.
I have to admit, as much as I love NV some of the gameplay choices Obsidian made were absolutely fucking retarded. Ghost People and Beepy Radio Boomtown Fun™ are two of them.

The only reason I ever do Dead Money is for the DLC exclusive items and all the gold at the end.
Also fuck that AWOP Underground place :v: Basically, I cleared the entire place backwards. From the end to the beginning. All the branches, all the different areas separated with loading screens, and more, I discovered all the different exits, and FINALLY the main Entrance where I received and turned in the quests at once. "Hi, need help with anything?" "Yeah, I need you to-" "He's dead." "Oh okay, well here's another quest you need to kill 3 boss-" "They're all dead." "ok" I could have entered this place from the same building where Roach is, but oh no, I just had to do it the other way around.. somehow. Oh well, my work in the Underground is done.

[editline]27th November 2013[/editline] "It's letting go unless you can get away with it thanks to a mass of narcotics and bunnyhopping."
The US armed forces lives on in the BoS and Enclave.
And army communities/families that didn't get obliterated entirely (See: The Divide.)

Now, I just need to find a vendor with the caps to actually buy one from me.
Use the Lonesome Road commissaries. They immediately restock their dosh reserves if they go under 2k caps.
so with some startling developments with my character... [img_thumb]http://cloud-3.steampowered.com/ugc/450654539077668559/87D8E3FABC2AD34948AC4CD1825129ED925791E3/[/img_thumb] ive decided to start roleplaying the phantom limb (sans the still having the head) uncanny resemblance
"It's letting go unless you can get away with it thanks to a mass of narcotics and bunnyhopping."
Don't think I've ever read a more Fallout-ish sentence.
Don't think I've ever read a more Fallout-ish sentence.
"Who are you, who do not know of the Fallout Wiki?" On that subject, my immediate relatives probably think I'm a fucking psychopath because when I'm waiting for something to cook or the kettle to boil I browse the Fallout Wiki's weapon and creature pages/
Also, more news on Fallout 3 Decrapified. Right now I have an empty wasteland that is identical to Capital Wasteland, obviously sans any objects or NPCs. Currently it's just a huge playground of mine where I put down buildings, rocks, trees and NPCs like some rabid 5-year old high on Legos. If it ever becomes something but I lose interest in it, I will probably upload it.

Yet. Then there's the quarry mining place with Alpha Deathclaw Males and Mama Deathclaws among usual Deathjaws. A sidequest for their eggs.. [editline]27th November 2013[/editline] Also Deathjaws because I just gave Mojave Wasteland a break and entered the Happy Caravan DLC.
I never liked the android thing in Fallout 3. It seemed massively out of place with the rest of the Fallout universe in my opinion. I honestly think it was just some bored Bethesda employee who watched Blade Runner and said "wouldn't that make a great quest!". I mean, the Fallout world has robots and, depending on which parts of Tactics are still canon, some pretty smart ones too, but the micro-technology necessary for something like that was never invented in the Fallout universe. So unless the Institute is advanced enough to bypass entire years of human advancement with micro-electronics, I don't see anyway for it to fit into Fallout. That is the biggest reason I want it set somewhere else. Not only does the Institute and android thing seem a little boring to me (at least not good enough to set up a whole game) but it also seems very lore breaking. It is like anything else in Fallout 3 (like the Super Mutants or the BoS), it isn't impossible, just very contrived.
I know it's not going to happen, but it would be cool to see a post-apocalyptic version of the Bascule bridge in my hometown of Mystic, CT. It's one of just a few bridges of it's type left in the world.

I'd honestly love if you distributed that, just for pissing about with as a test ESP.
Sure why not But not yet, there's barely anything in the ESP at the moment, spare for the combination of Big Town and Girdershade. I figured I'd combine those two because they're not really big settlements anyway. There will be no Little Lamplight because the mutants ate most of the kids and all the survivors founded Big Town. In this case Sticky would be just some dumb teenager who went on an alcohol-induced walkabout and winded up in Rivet City's bar, so now he needs to be escorted back to his home.
I like it how they asked me not to kill any Bighorners while saving the Bighorner Cub in one of the DLC. Fuck, killing the first Bighorner I ever encountered in Mojave Wasteland never even crossed my mind, even though I have Lord of Death, Bugstomper, and heaps of Gun-related perks etc., but never did I kill a single Bighorner. Ridiculous however how the only possible dialog option was "Well, I managed not to kill any Big Horners.." almost like as if I've ever killed one, you fuck.
Reminds me of the time how I used Happy Tactical Squad to bring No-Bark Noonan with me. I gave him a cosmic knife and we decided to assault a pack of Bighorners. I tried to throw a spear at one of the Bighorners, but I accidentally hit No-Bark. Seemingly unfazed, he took the spear and killed a bighorner with it. What a badass grandpa, gets hit by a spear and then rips it out of his wounds and kills a bighorner with it. Too bad he died after that.

Practically free XP if you can get them in one sneak crit.
so ive finally decided to get TTW because they have an experimental patch for NVEC Complete, how well does the armory work with it? also how do i place a gun in the world al;ong with an item? im using a mod for the 1911 from mgs3 along with a psg1 mod and the cardboard box and want to place them somewhere in the capital wasteland I also have WMX and CCO but those shouldnt be too big of asn issue id imagine [editline]27th November 2013[/editline] also if you have factions reloaded legion this miod seems pretty cool http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/54113//?
