The guy who made TS2299 made an AMA.
[sp]He had a fake trailer ready, but he saw Bethesda's tweets near the end while drunk, freaked out, and rickrolled/tunnelsnaked/sadviolined us. He'll post the story he wrote for the page on fanfiction.net[/sp]
[sp]This hoax costed him nearly $1000[/sp]

That's a dedicated as fuck guy for a hoax.
No announcement at the VGAs
No announcement at the VGAs
But at VGX?
Right I'll ask again, any help?
Install the F3 version of NMC, then drop the New Vegas version over it. Most NV textures carry over even if you don't do this, but not all of 'em

No, that's pretty sad. A grand in money and all for a hoax. Seriously why would anyone waste money on something like this? Pretty damn pathetic if you ask me.

I kinda agree... I'm struggling to save $1k more for a new car so I can work, and he blows what I need on pissing me off... :(
But it was admittedly fun while it lasted and did make me far more hyped for a FO4 than BethSoft probably would have.

He didn't make that, it was made by a fellow redditor before the hoax was exposed
So what can I do to troubleshoot the game crashing everytime I fast travel or go out of a cell? I've disabled all mods, no change, disabled SLI, disabled & enabled VSYNC, resetting all INI files.
It's worked fine before with these exact same mods, no change.
Also when I try to run FNV.exe (or whatever its named, not the launcher) it runs the launcher instead, happens with NVSE & FNV4GB aswell so I don't think FNV4GB is working which might be the issue.

if he had attatched an add to the site do you know what kinda money he could have made from site traffic lol
if he had attatched an add to the site do you know what kinda money he could have made from site traffic lol
But he didn't. He wasted $1000 on winding up people.
Fuck that guy who made the site for needlessly riling us up (regardless of intent), fuck Bethesda for not telling us sooner and not showing anything at the VGAs, and fuck Spike for the terrible VGAs and the fact that I sat through 3 hours of that garbage for nothing.
I guess it's time to wait again people.
So I did a bit of personal-modding to McCarran Music Radio:
+ All Along the Watchtower ( Hendrix )
+ Paint it Black ( Rolling Stones )
+ Diamond Dogs ( David Bowie )
+ Space Oddity ( David Bowie )
+ Summer In the City (Lovin' Spoonful)
Any other suggestions? I don't intend to release it unless Generic.Monk arises from the grave and gives me permission, but I'd like suggestions/reminders of 'nam/70's era music I missed. General idea/theme is "Music the troops would listen to"
DEFINITELY some CCR,Rush,Van Halen,Aerosmith,Scorpions,ELO, Def Leppard, a lot of those bands were formed in the 70's and had songs in the 70's soooooooo.
It's funny how he says some of the stuff people just completely missed and other stuff people jumped to conclusion on. And how he put in basically less than an hour of work a day into the site and is really busy otherwise.

Cutoff is '75, sooo..

Fuck your car.

Just a few before your or at your cutoff date.
[editline]7th December 2013[/editline]
Fuck, Fleetwood Mac,Steve Miller Band, early Aerosmith...
Unfortunatly all we got from VGX is Telltale stuff, stuff we already know about, and alot of cringe sketches and PewDiePie.
I'm actually happy because the info we got from survivor2299 seemed to heavily indicate the presence of The Institute and other Bethesda inspired crud in 'Fallout 4'.
We've got a clean table again. New Vegas 2 is once again a possibility, and I could not be happier.
Why do people pitch a fit over the possibility of a Fallout game in Boston? I don't understand this.

The only thing I have against it is that the whole "Institute Android" shit was lore shattering. There is no technology in the Fallout world small enough and complex enough to build a fully replicated synthetic person. It goes against everything established. They don't even have fucking micortransistors. That, and it would have set up some very obvious black and white morality shit.
There aren't nearly as memorable locations in Boston compared to other places, in my opinion. I mean, landmarks and shit don't make a good Fallout game but it is nice to see something recognizable, and people outside of New England will have no idea what any of it is.
I don't want the Institute, but I don't want the West Coast either. I have seen enough of the NCR/Brotherhood shenanigans (3 full games of it out of 5 canon games in the series) for a lifetime. Other than the Institute, though, Boston would make a good choice. Not too big of a city, something more akin to DC, with lots of surrounding countryside too.
However, I want to see a really big city. Old, towering, burnt-out skyscrapers, ruins high enough to see miles of wasteland. Exploring the tallest buildings, fighting urban warfare, that is the kind of Fallout game I want to see.

you know how fast that woulda given it away though?

WHAT
BITCH WE GOT THE FREEDOM TRAIL, FANEUIL HALL, THE AQUARIUM, THE COMMONS, THE MOS, THE MFA, STATE HOUSE, BUNKER HILL MONUMENT, TD GARDENS, AND THE FUCKING HANCOCK BUILDING.
DON'T SAY WE DON'T HAVE ANY LANDMARKS
But he didn't. He wasted $1000 on winding up people.
Certainly wasn't a waste, Any way on his AMA he said he's a rich douche. If that's any consolation.

Okay, and as someone who lives to the South of you and has barely left my state, I can safely say that only a few of those even sound the slightest bit interesting. My city has landmarks too, and y'know what they're pretty insignificant outside of the city. If I told you about the Macon Hay House, and the Cannonball House, or the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame / Sports Hall of Fame, - which, by way, most states have at least one of, same as things like state houses and aquariums - not to mention our railway system and tracks, plus the old Coca Cola bottling plant... you wouldn't give any amount of fucks about those because they all sound boring and generic.

So, what you want is NYC with the remnants of whatever mutations and survivors/dwellers are in that area?
who the fucks got time to look for all those damn stars
I don't go out of my way to look for them either. They just sort of show up while I'm looting locations as I play. It's something I pay little attention to and cash in late-game just to check one more thing off on my pipboy.
