I got 100 speech yesterday.
All shall bow to my silver tongue.
I suddenly enjoy FO3 much more now that it's merged with NV.
I have no idea why. Also, the Officer's Sword kicks ass and looks awesome to boot.

Well, the gameplay feels way better 'cause there's ironsights and the gun damage depends on the gun, not on your skill. Also, Hardcore Mode helps a lot (if you're not playing with Hardcore than start doing so, it feels way better and more postapocalyptic)
Also, you get fun urban exploration, AND good writing in one game :v:
So do you guys know if Fallout 3 works in ATOTW on Windows 8? Because I know it doesn't work standalone, so I wasn't sure if it was an engine thing or the assets themselves.
betthysoda has the rights to the id5 engine, right?
why the fuck don't they put fallout 4 on that shit, instead of probably using the skyirm version of the gamebryo engine?
Rage gameplay/graphics with Fallout atmosphere and story.
I'll gladly pay for that
Someone tell how to fix Fallout 3 from CTDing on Windows 7
Someone tell how to fix Fallout 3 from CTDing on Windows 7
Less mods, the 4GB enabler (if it works with F3, but I'm pretty sure it does), I remember reading that messing with core affinity works to some extent as well, and possibly prayer.
Ah shit, I'm playing FO3 in hardcore mode, but there are no doctor's bags in the game. I'm boned, I've got 3 limbs crippled.
Use stimpacks?
There's a few free bags laying around (check the doctor's office in Megaton), also go on a Raider killing spree since some of 'em carry doses of Hydra.
Oh, and, y'know, a doctor'll automatically fix your limbs if you buy healing from them.

Or I guess you can be a dirty cheater and console in a couple of bags :v:
As in FWE? Fallout 3 doesn't have a hardcore mode.
As in FWE? Fallout 3 doesn't have a hardcore mode.
Hes likely playing a mod that merges FO3 with NV, with hardcore mode turned on. Due to there never being something like that in FO3, there's no doctors bags.

The dudes who made this mod actually spread New Vegas stuff around, so you get things like skill magazines, doctor bags laying around, and working campfires. It's pretty neat.

Really? Nice. It'd suck if he didn't, as hardcore mode would basically break the FO3 world in that case...
Did anyone notice that one quote from No-bark Noonan is actually true for the How Little We Know quest? This quote:
"I don't trust a man that doesn't have something strange going on about him, cause that means he's hiding it from you. If a man's wearing his pants on his head or says his words backwards from time to time, you know it's all laid out there for you. But if he's friendly to strangers and keeps his home spick-and-span, more often than not it means he's done something even his own ma couldn't forgive."
...which holds true for when you meet Clanden and you expose him for torturing those hookers. Who knew?
. Also, Hardcore Mode helps a lot (if you're not playing with Hardcore than start doing so, it feels way better and more postapocalyptic)
Hardcore mode just felt tedious when I tried it. Didn't really add much of anything to the game IMO. I gave it a good 20 levels or so to impress me and it failed to do so.
Someone tell how to fix Fallout 3 from CTDing on Windows 7
Play it in NV's engine via TTW.
How I always beat the final boss of New Vegas. ([sp]If I can't to the speech check to make him give up that is.[/sp])
Step 1. Buy as much C4 as I can AND a detonator. Equip it to a slot BEFORE the final battle at Hoover Dam.
Step 2. Once I fight my way into the Legate's camp (NCR, House, Independent), after I kill all the soldiers there, I place my C4 at the bottom of the stairs and take my detonator out to be ready. I tell my companion(s) to "wait" far away from the explosion to keep them safe/hold off the Legate's minions.
Step 3. Go to the Legate and make fun of his dinky mask.
Step 4. RUN LIKE HELL TO GET BEHIND MY C4.
Step 5. Wait for it...
Step 6. Watch him get close enough to the C4.
Step 7.

i just put down a bunch of plasma mines and wait till he goes hostile and set it off
I've used a Fat Man on Lanius a couple times. Makes him hard to loot :v:. I've also gone down every 'peaceful' resolution at this point. Current plan is to stab him in the dick with a shocksword I got from a mod.
Missile/grenade launchers are my preferred way to assassinate Kimball, since he's squishy.
I liked my way of assassinating Kimball. I dressed up as an NCR ranger and let him finish his speech. Then, when he came walking down to his helicopter, I casually walked up to him, drew out a Chinese pistol (for extra irony) and just fired a round straight into his head point blank. Then I staged a daring escape by sprinting into the dam, shooting my way to the bottom and swimming downriver to my escape. It was incredible :v:
[sp]That said, I really wish there were more NCR troopers in the dam, would have made it a lot more epic than just shooting maybe 7 guys the whole way through[/sp]
I haven't yet assassinated Kimball, but if I get around to a legion play I'm most likely going to plant enough C4 in his back pocket to blast the entire fucking dam to kingdom come. I'm also going to take a lot of explosives related perks to hopefully make the resulting boom big enough to kill everyone standing outside. Except me, of course.
Ok I'm thinking about reinstalling new vegas.
But I need some mods fit mostly for explosives and clothing/armor that would fit something like the Demoman.

I, personally, haven't forgiven Obsidian for not finding some way to port Jingwei's shock sword into New Vegas.
I mean come on, they have the Chinese Stealth Armour (however shit it may be) and the Tesla Cannon but not literally the coolest weapon to come from Operation Anchorage?
My Tale of Two Wastelands playthrough is going well, I rarely ever crash, mods work flawlessly with it, and I'm having a blast.
My character:

Gecko-backed Leather Armor with a fuck load of tailor-made bits.
Also Energy Weapons are the best. You would not believe how excited I was when I saw the plasma rifle from the original games was in New Vegas.

I have no mods installed though. Still the game CTDs only once in a while so it's not a huge problem.

Well, in this case, I'm sorry to say that, but occasional CTDs are in the nature of the beast here and there's nothing you can do about them.

Pretty much everything No-Bark says is actually true for some quest when you look at it.

Hey, even a wise man like No-Bark can make a mistake once in a while, that's just the nature of life.
Hahaha, that's probably just a side effect of all the radscorpion stings to the head he took in his younger years.
