I really wish I could play Fallout 3 on the PC. I know most would suggest TTW, but I think with 67 plugins for New Vegas my system would probably shit itself and die. If not it'd happen either when I get NVB after the next update or make a personal radio station. Don't know what caused it to crash all the time when I opened the door Project Purity with dad the last time I tried it, and before when I traveled there with him. I was running mods, but I can't remember what ones. They were few that I liked, but I'm certain one was MMM.
Ok, so I installed FWE, the flora mod, and other stuff and started as a Scavanger. Went past the Outcast HQ, decided to pick a fight with raiders. It went alright, until one of them pulled out a Grenade launcher pistol. I managed to critical kill him before he could finish me off. But my leg was busto'd. I found a nearby medical kit and found some braces, fixed my leg up to get to Megaton to get the rest of me fixed up. Left with some crap armors, and some guns. [editline]9th December 2013[/editline] Also I wish Bethesda didn't have the ability to godmode in the console. That shit is so irresistible to activate to not die.

Say, is there a mod for TTW that makes DC enemies less powerful? Compaired to the ones in NV, they seem to have very high DT. Especially swampfolk.

Fallout 3 wasn't designed with strong power armor and mutants in mind.
It's been way too long but I finally got a frame for this. It's been flattening for months because I mostly forgot about it. Some of you might remember I made this back in February and got it signed by some of the New Vegas team. [t]http://i.imgur.com/0VCot8Z.jpg[/t] Closeup picture of the signatures from back in April. [t]http://i.imgur.com/mAnhknz.jpg?1[/t]
That is awesome! I love Hotline Miami. I'd probably buy one if someone start to sell them.
Just finished a 1 armor, only melee run on NV. Next I might do Energy Weapons, since I'v always liked them a lot, but never could get into them.
So, I made a Heisenberg character with Better Living Through Chems and CHEMS. Made an absolute shit ton of Jet and sold it for giant stacks. Even made a little meth-lab RV hideout, which I'll show off when I can get better pictures than the shitty snaps I have now.
Goddamn, Fallout 2 is way harder than Fallout 1. Getting from place to place can be a bitch with wanamingos everywhere, not to mention I'm too weak (and poor) to kill basically anything so I can't even level up.

Step 2: Get Navarro Quest Step 3: Get into the Enclave Base. Step 4: Get Advanced power armor Step 5: steal everything in the armor, sell in San Fran, acquire Gauss rifle Step 6: Win the game.

I'm guessing after TTW is installed I can safely uninstall FO3 from steam right?
I wish I could download a big ass pack of mod essentials so I don't have to run around and download all of the mods individually.
New Vegas needs its own FeedTheBeast type pack like Minecraft does 1 .exe that downloads all the mods from the pack you choose and installs them all without hassle within seconds, no fucking about putting things in the right order and file Speaking of load order, mine is completely shit and half of my mods don't even work and crash the game constantly
That'd be impossible, since Gamebryo loves to spontaneously explode at the speed of light for no reason, even if you did everything right.
Wow. I just beat Old World Blues. [sp] Good ending. No one died, except maybe the toaster when the other appliances killed him? but man. that ending made me feel good. [/sp] So Sierra Madre, check Old World Blues, Check Someone told me to play one DLC before the other.. now i'm not sure if it was Honest Hearts Before Lonesome Road or After Lonesome Road but I'm probably gonna start Honest hearts now.
i personally killed all the think tanks at the end and let mobius live. got fed up with the boring quests :v:
Tried to blow open an average ammo box just now, using a mine. Didn't work. Found a mininuke earlier, tried that. It worked. Got 11 .44 Mag round for a nuke.
Nukes are one of the few items (like missiles) I find too destructive to be useful. I understand that they can be very useful in the right situation and that they do a lot of damage, but they just seem like such a hassle when I could easily just take out an incinerator, light the enemy up, and then AMR his head off while he burns to death. I'd honestly take a handful of .44 rounds over a nuke. Maybe not 11, but 20 or so sure. Also, I recently went through Vault 22 because I'm slow and a pussy and just got around to it, and the incinerator might be the most useful thing ever in there.
Did I mention it was a lock in a trailer, next to two cars, and a baby carriage trap?
I've been looking to play some really old games, not that old, but something from the 1980s to the year 2008. Every single friend of mine has recommended me Fallout 3, but I thought of looking into the old ones, the ones that started this series. I play on PC, which one of the games would you recommend to me? Also, is it necessary for me to play all of them in a chronological order? I don't really remember, but I think I did play either the first or the second Fallout in the series, but for some reason, I stopped playing it because I couldn't find the mod that fixed some specific issue.
All of them. Start from fallout 1. Doesn't matter which you played, if you even a bit interested then start from one.
Wasteland can be fun, but it's aged HORRIBLY. It's considered to be the original Fallout game. so good

(aside from Tactics, which is its own thing) If you really want to experience the series like a lot of people did, start with Fallout 1 and work your way up. Don't forget to save often, and remember - if you find yourself dying a lot, sometimes it's just better to ditch that character and create a new one (balance isn't really much of a thing in these games, honestly, and you're gonna be boned if you tag for example Throwing, First Aid and Outdoorsman) Oh yeah and crank the animation speed slider in the options all the way to the right.
Thanks for the replies, I'll start from Fallout 1. I also wanted to know if there was any obligatory mod that would be required to further enhance my experience, regardless if it was required at the beginning or in the middle of the game. Because my mind is constantly telling me that this was the same Fallout I played years ago and it had some issue I couldn't find a fix for.

Does the fixit mod cure cutscenes? Cause I tried the hi res patch and that only made it worse.
Speaking of New Vegas, I've been through 2 of the story expansions so far; I've finished Honest Hearts and Dead Money. In fact, when I came back after many months of inactivity, I was partway through Dead Money. Currently I'm walking down, walking down, that Loooonesome Rooooad, and I really do like the ED-E companion; there's a certain charm to that little Eyebot. What I'm not a big fan of, however, are the Tunnellers in that tunnel segment; I thought I was in for some dicks when I saw a Deathclaw wander off stage left, but after a nightmarish cacophony I saw its mangled body smashed under a shipping container and I looked to ED-E and was all like "...shit just got real". They're super-resilient even with my Tri-Barrel Lasgun, and I'm pretty damn good with Energy Weapons, so that speaks books about those fuckers; I had to resort to bussing out ol' Thump-Thump to smack them down from a glitched-out position on some rocks, and I barely have any skill with Explosives at all! Am I just being a dummy and need to loose some actual lead?
Deathclaws have very high DT, the ones in The Divide especially so. You need something to pierce their thick hides, so yes bullets would probably be better. Also you should have saved Lonesome Road until last, its more effective that way. Still if you haven't done Old World Blues you're in for a good time.
Looks like TTW really hates Op. Anchorage. I keep randomly crashing for no reason.

I'm not sure how effective that is without a decent guns skill though.
And if worst comes to worst, just grab out the Red Glare and stunlock them with an ungoldy amount of rockets.
