If you find him in Fallout 2 he's like the most amazing companion. Like, "HEY FAGGOT IN COMBAT ARMOR GONNA FUCK YOU AND YOUR DOG UP!" Dogmeat runs over, crits him the first time,knocks him down, 5 attacks later he's dead, then Dogmeat attacks the other raider.

I got really lucky and got the Red Ryder BB gun basically at the start of the game, and I thought I was all invincible.
I killed off everyone in the Great Khans camp and looted their shit and went out to The Hub to sell it. I walked into Old Town and started poking around buildings, ran into some asshole in a leather jacket and his cronies. Whatever, I'll just blast them apart like everyone else.
I get fucking oneshotted by his buddy with a critical hit that did 50 damage and blew my torso off. M last save was at the Khans camp.

The ending slide tells me I need to "LET GO" like 4 times.
Look. The fact that I only took 3 golden bars out of that vault displays incredible restraint and if you can't respect that I'm not respecting you.

I only took one, but only out of limitations; any more than that and I would have been way to slow to loop around to the exit and trap Elijah in the Vault.

I feel the same way. After playing Skyrim with mods it feels so much more immersive, but even when i play fallout new vegas with mods it just doesn't feel immersive anymore.
Also does anyone else feel like the Divide was a really short DLC?

Dead Money basically ends with God and Christine saying "HOLY TITS IS THERE GOING TO BE ONE FUCK OF A WAR IN THE DIVIDE" and we were all super pumped
I'm not sure how you could really give a satisfying ending to Lonesome Road in Gamebryo but it definitely didn't feel like Ulysses and I had a war

True; for one thing you don't command any real armies, so it's more like a "clash of titans" kind of deal in the Temple of Sleeping Giants.
Also, if ED-E manages to stop the launch, does he die? Also also, if he survives the final battle, does he go with you back into the Mojave?
It's an EDE clone. It literally doesn't matter.
I wish New Vegas was done on an engine or in a style that properly portrayed the world it should've been.

Ah right; thing is I didn't encounter ED-E in the Mojave near Primm; the first time I met the little guy was in that first base within the Divide. And apparently the ED-E I know on the Lonesome Road is a copy of the original who Nier hasn't "re-met"; will the original remember our times on the Lonesome Road?
The ending for dead money was kind of lost on me because I had no indicator of when that elevator was supposed to leave, and then whats-his-face got stuck on the wrong side of the forcefield and a I had to noclip in and kill him.

The ED-E from the Divide will communicate its memory to the original Ed-E, if he survives he continues ED-E's quest to reach Navarro. You should note that the original ED-E isn't in as good a shape as Divide ED-E.
Hoorah! I really like ED-E with that charm of his; now our adventures can continue once I've decked Ulysses. Or convinced him to stand down.
Speaking of which do I need to have all of Ulysses' logs to convince him?

You need either A) All his logs B) All E-DE updagres or C) A high speech skill. Also the E-DE in the DLC is better than the in the normal one. The one in Primm doesn't show much of "emotions". So yeah, you better treasure the moments with E-DE on the DLC.

Am I the only one who doesnt use vats? I started a new play through of nv, and Im trying to make it more realistic roleplaying. No vats, gotta eat and drink, sleep at night, etc. It adds a whole new level of fun for me.
Most memorable part was in the primm casino, sneaking around taking shots at the escaped prisoners. Much more imersive than pressing v, click click, boom easy kill.

Never had that problem with fo3. Maybe once every 3 to 4 hours of play

Depends of how lucky you are. My old computer rarely crashed. This one has a freeze fest.
Plan B, as many recommend, is try Tale of Two Wasteland.
