fine the master has a wagon for mobility
Lanius is just a dude with an armoured beard and a sword.
Frank Horrigan and Liberty Prime team up out of mutual necessity and patriotism.
They kill the Master immediately because he's a mutant, a communist, and he only has 500 hp.
Combat ends.
Having just completed my first playthrough of New Vegas, I was wondering if you guys have any funny character ideas for my next playthrough.
Personally, I was thinking a dumb, lucky, guns guy who charms everyone he talks to.
yes, do 1 INT playthrough
Jesus Christ. I thought FO3/NV were glitchy. I've had so much trouble with quests being impossible to complete (dialogue options missing, people getting hostile when I approach them when they previously were fine, etc.) in FO1/2 and now this shit.
After three in-game years of gameplay in FO2, I decided to finally get the Highwayman. Best decision ever. You speed across the map in no time flat. It's an absolutely fantastic feeling to actually get somewhere.

But take it to San Francisco and you'll never drive it again. All that remains is the trunk.

1 INT
1 PER
10 Luck
I'll be the blackjack wizard.

Hang in there though - it's a game where you have to think things through.
Huh. That's unbelievably helpful! I've an inkling taking a caravan ride to the Brotherhood will have some form information, though it took like 50 days to get rope to climb down into Vault 15, only to be disappointed. I don't know how much longer I can dick around looking across the wasteland before the price is right horn goes off besides that ominous sticky note on my pipboy. If there's a library, it isn't in any location I've stumbled across so far. As for deathclaws, that's just one giant dice roll. I specialize in Small Arms, but doing 30 damage with my SMG in one turn (which I thought was impressive) only serves to burn through my ammo as they fuckers come en masse. Plainly put, do I just avoid them until I get better gear or just pray for a proper diceroll? I'm just starting out so my Agility is..not a 10, thats for sure. Also, I've noticed that I always start with 8 AP and using my gun takes up 5. This is problematic, albeit manageable. Do you gather more AP as you level?
It feels like I should be like...level 10 already with all the shit that's flying at me and its really overwhelming.
Not really a fair fight, considering The Master is crippled, and Liberty Prime can throw nukes like a fucking football.
I can only imagine Liberty Prime holding a nuke and shouting "Go long" as he bombs the shit out of everyone else.
touchdown
A friend of mine said that Luck is useless and to put it to 1 in favor of other stats.
Is this true?
A friend of mine said that Luck is useless and to put it to 1 in favor of other stats.
Is this true?
Oh god no. Luck determines a lot of things in each game. In FO1/2, it's incredibly important for hitting things. Or doing anything, really. In FO3/NV, it's used for critical hits, skill bonuses, and casinos in NV. I always have Luck at 6, partially because it means you can get the Mysterious Stranger perk in 3/NV.
A friend of mine said that Luck is useless and to put it to 1 in favor of other stats.

I used to think Luck is useless.
But then I realised how ridiculous that idea is
So I did what you said Krinkels, about the holding A thing and running to an exit grid, and I died much faster than usual.
:v:
Tried to use Project Nevada's sprint function to run past the Securitrons and get to Freeside. Found out that the gate is actually locked and won't open unless you get permission to enter.
And then six Securitrons unloaded their guns into me and I died.
Best tip for fallout 1 and 2.
Double click to move when not in combat. You run instead of walking.

Not to mention Liberty Primes high speech skill.

try it on the monorail at mcarran. or just sneak, that works for sure.
try it on the monorail at mcarran. or just sneak, that works for sure.
I would sneak but I don't think Gordon Freeman is well-known for his stealth skills. He doesn't talk, but have you seen the amount of property destruction he causes?
well lets see, liberty prime was developed by house's company so its probably not running on any robo-brain tech which could be hijacked by the master
The Master couldn't actually control minds, just assault them with horrifying imagery and brain damage, from what I can tell.
I get really annoyed at some of the clipping that goes on in NV.
No animation mods, and the robe thing that veronica wears pretty obviously clips into her power fist. Also when I have my laser pistol holstered my elbow clips into it when running.

Holstered weapons are the worst offenders

That's what I hate about 3/NV
I love them so much but you do have to set your standards really low because everything looks like fucking shit
Sucks because I know they are competent enough to make something so much better but thanks to Gamebryo everything has to be limited and crappy
THANKS GAMEBRYO
UGH
YOU SHOULD JUST LEAVE, NOBODY LIKES YOU
Is Gamebyro really that shitty modders can't even import working first person animations?
I haven't seen a weapon mod that has custom animations made from scratch yet.
I always assumed everyone thought FO3 was better than New Vegas? The artificial barriers put in by the deathclaws and cazadores in NV just ruined it.

I dislike that everything scales to your level in 3 actually, gets a bit boring to always be the most badass thing around.

I don't see how that's artificial or a barrier. I've gone past them at a really low level with just a stealth boy and one dose of turbo. And a bit of pants-wetting.

They're hard-coded, you can't mod them in.

Get Killap's Unofficial Patch! Doesn't add new content, but does fix all the bugs (and there's a lot of these, even after installing Interplay's official patches F2 is buggier than the goddamn Temple Of Trials) [sp]do ants count as bugs 'cause if they don't this joke totally doesn't work[/sp]

They do.

How the hell could anyone think F3 is better than NV? Granted, F3 is great when it comes to the theme park styled exploration part where behind every hill you can find something nifty and a bit of loot, but NV trumps it in pretty much all the other aspects - the quests, the gameplay, the factions, the cohesity of the world, the characters...
note that I'm not saying that F3 is bad, it's just not nearly as good as NV (and don't even try to mention review scores, every-fuckin'-one knows these are bullshit)
and artificial barriers? ahaha you're saying F3 (which has a goddamn 'you can't go any further turn back jackass' message pop up once you reach the end of the world map) is better in this department than NV, where invisible walls are mostly for fencing monsters in (apparently without 'em the Sloan Deathclaws would often end up in Goodsprings and massacre the entire town, which sucks to say the least)

Sorry, no life trumps well-thought out and written post.
So I just got a super mutant companion in Fallout 3, He's name's fawkes.
[T] http://puu.sh/5QBvr.jpg [/T]
He carry's around a fucking mini gun and destroys EVERYTHING in his path.
Whilst laughing maniacally.
yeah...

As you can see, I enjoy wasting time with mods such as Satchel and Tailor Maid
And yes, the revolvers clip is clipping (hehe) through the back of the gun. Though I really shouldn't mind the clipping of that considering how much other clipping there is with the clothing :v:

Reload the gun, the problem should go away. Think it's a quirk of the engine, had that happen on Xbox too.
Also, really, who doesn't waste time with Tailor Maid et al? Fallout is the best dressup game
