I had NMM setup first so I don't have FOMM. I'll do it tomorow maybe,can't be arsed now.
If you use nmm and are finding it doesn't work, try downloading the new version off the nexus

companions in TTW are just like mod-added companions for new vegas
they react to hardcore and difficulty and damage the same way vanilla companions do; they're invulnerable unless you're in hardcore.

Hey Facepunch, I'm trying to mod Fallout 3 to get F3 Redesigned, EVE, FWE and Mart's mutant mod to work but my black people go albino, i've tried a lot of things to fix it but it isn't really working out.

I don't have F3 but I do have NV and this should work regardless since they run on the same engine.
Open up Fallout.ini or Falloutprefs.ini, I don't really remember which one but do it to both just to be safe, in your Documents, and find the line bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=0 and change it to bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1 if it isn't there add it.
Now in Fallout_Default.ini in the game folder do the same thing.

As magicman1234 said, there's no attention holding story, but there's 'tactical' squad combat. You can still travel throughout the wasteland, discovering different locations like the first 2. Each squad-member has their own SPECIAL and set of skill points. So whenever they level up, you get to decide where to distribute their points/perks/weapons/etc... In Fallout: Tactics, you're able to crouch and go prone, enemies/allies are capable of doing the same. Like the previous 2 games, you can loot corpses/barter/steal/etc... The inventory system is pretty much the same.
What I like about Tactics best is the capability of choosing whether you want to play in real-time, actionpoint-based, or squad-based. It's a really neat feature and you can freely flip from one to the other during gameplay.

Okay so now that I have that brilliant game called New Vegas I need to know if I should use any startermods?
I've been thinking about getting Project Nevada since it's basically one big overhaul of the game.
I'm having fun with Fallout so far, but I've been having some sort of weird bug. For some reason, 5 bullets get multiplied to 100 bullets. It shows 100 bullets in my inventory, but when I try to move the bullets or sell them, and I click all, it only shows 5 bullets. Also, it seems that my 5 stimpacks got duplicated to 25 unless I picked some up without noticing.
Anyone have any idea what is going on?
Also, how do I get Ian to change his armor? I put better armor ( Leather Armor as opposed to his Leather Jacket ), and I told him to change his armor, but he doesn't do anything.
Try fallout character overhaul, YUP (patch mod, there are others but they have gameplay tweaks), 4GB fallout new vegas, Weapon animation replacers (WAR), wasteland flora overhaul (you can choose between lush wasteland or just plant and tree hd replacement), nevada skies ultimate edition and wasteland clothing hires retexture if you want better graphics.
edit: There's also a mod that combines FOOK and Project Nevada if you want a real overhaul.

Sprite issues with NPCs. Pretty sure Ian can't wear anything other than his leather jacket and maybe metal armor.
