I'm sorry :(
Because it is Christmas, I shall believe you. It's alright, it was a shitty joke anyways.
Anyone know any ways to increase the overall mod limit of the game?
Merge ESPs, the mod limit iself is hardcoded
So I kinda want to do a second playthrough of FO:NV but I don't feel like doing vanilla again. Could anyone suggest some mods that are accessible from the beginning or enhance the feel of the game?
Give this a whirl http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/54398/?
I'm curious if other parts of the world had vaults as well. So far, we're aware that a fair amount of vaults exist along the western coast, but could it be possible for vaults to be in Europe and Asia? Unless the whole Operation Anchorage/Chinese bad dood isn't considered canon, then nevermind.
Downloading all the stuff for the FOOK convergance mod thing. To say I'm scared of the game utterly shitting itself forever is an understatement Can't exactly backup either because my data folder is like, 20-30 gb and I don't have enough disk space for it :v:
Would there be a way to remove every character and quest from the world in Project Brazil when it comes out?

I know the guy's made one for NV (hell, I think he's obsessed with flora overhauls..) but the charm's in the tall grass and green trees everywhere.

China could have had some knockoff vaults as well and it's likely that the military and political leaders had some way to find refuge at least. Can't remember the status of Russia in the Fallout canon though.
Error code 51 just as soon as I got a few mods installed :/ The only solution I could find anywhere was verifying game cache integrity or reinstalling game; nowhere is it explained what the code means nor what specifically causes it. EDIT: Seems to occur when I make the game exe large address aware. Thing is, I need to make it so for the texture mods, so there's got to be a way that doesn't trigger that irritatingly stupid error.
I like the idea of China having knock-off Vaults. I'm wondering though, would they be shoddy workmanship and end up even more horrifying than those in America, or would they actually succeed since they weren't made with the intention of bizarre and unethical social experiments?
My game is shitting itself. I can't complete Ghost Town Gunfight. I've killed all the powder gangers but every NPC just tells me 'lol theres still some left' when there obviously isn't. I really want to do this so I can use the sunny smiles companion mod but I fucking cant completequest doesnt work either
Downloading all the stuff for the FOOK convergance mod thing.
The problem I have with that convergence mod is that according to the mod author you can't use the second part with millenia's weapon texture overhaul for some reason having to do with WME not being properly updated. That's kind of a deal breaker as the weapon retexture project is practically vanilla for me at this point. I wish he went into more detail as I could probably fix the issue myself. It'd be nice to combine WME, WMX, and EVE seamlessly. Part 1 of that mod is pretty good though.
You should resurrect one of the powdergangers via the console and let the townspeople shoot one down, that fixed it for me.
I've tried that but it still shits itself :v: [editline]27th December 2013[/editline] Nevermind, that did fix it, I just didn't notice that my companions were sniping them from the other side of the town :v: [editline]27th December 2013[/editline] However sunny smiles wont follow me after I recruit it. Fuck it i give up
fuck it i really don't care
Does TTW combine the two games weapons in the spawn lists or does it leave them separated?
I like the idea of China having knock-off Vaults. If anything, the more secure, solid vaults would be located in Beijing, Hong Kong, and possibly Taiwan. There'd probably be a ton of knock-off vaults that would've either crumbled because of said shoddy worksmanship or lasted long enough to create survivors of the bombs. However, there'd probably be either very few with maaaaaaaaaaaany people inside. Think one of those crowded apartment complexes you'd find in places like Hong Kong or parts of Russia (There's plenty of them, though all have complicated names I cant remember). It'd make it insanely easy to keep an eye on the populace. The key figures would've probably been given super secure vaults to perform their propaganda speeches and experimentation. It'd be cool because then I could suggest the idea of a Deathclaw called Genghis Khan Jr. with a tattered Mongolian barbarian skullcap or "The True Qing Emperor". Also,
Europe is unlikely considering how badly they were buttfucked by the resource wars, I suppose some rich elite and the surviving leaders of each country could have had their equivalent of vaults.
Does TTW combine the two games weapons in the spawn lists or does it leave them separated?
You come across NV weapons in the capital wasteland but I can't remember if FO3 weapons show up in the mojave
You come across NV weapons in the capital wasteland but I can't remember if FO3 weapons show up in the mojave
I think FO3 weapons were mostly overwritten in favor of NV's gun and ammunition variety.
I used to be one of those people who thought that a fallout game could never take place anywhere else other than america, but I've been thinking about it more and I'd love to see a Fallout game in China. America isn't the place with it's own flavor of cold war paranoia. China is a goldmine of cool cold war stuff-- you got those neat red, white, and black propaganda posters from the cultural revolution, with smiling guerrillas with their bikes and newsboy caps, that mix of indigenous Chinese culture and all the elements that they adopted from europeans. It could also be a cool contrast with Fallout's America-- besides the whole communism-and-capitalism thing, where Fallout's America was all about destroying their future for the sake of their past, China was all about destroying their past for the sake of their future. On a side note, I gave Paciencia to Boone--I haven't had to unholster my gun for five levels.

Crikey, TTW's installer is throwing my CPU up to 65C.

60s britain would probably be better. Maybe even 70s if you want some brown ford cortina.
Get mods that don't conflict with each other? I don't know, I always thought that was the real limiting factor in how many mods you can install.
There's a hard cap of 255 plugins(Any *.esp and *esm file) that the Gamebryo engine can load. FalloutNV.esm counts against this limit, so that's 254 mods you can install. Any .esp or .esm counts, including DLC and especially merged patches(This is why I never make merged patches). This limit is because the game engine is 32 bit, if it were 64bit the hard limit would be tens of thousands of plugins. New Vegas, however, is a second kind of unstable. Some people run into issues when loading no more than 75 plugins or so. My game starts getting veeeeeeery crashhappy at this point. Around 150 plugins NV goes full retard. FO3, TESIV and TESV don't do this, oddly enough, it's just New Vegas for some reason. So yeah. There is a hard limit, and NV has a second soft limit that varies player to player. [editline]26th December 2013[/editline]
You come across NV weapons in the capital wasteland but I can't remember if FO3 weapons show up in the mojave
They do. I looted a CAR off a fiend just yesterday. It's not a commonplace thing but they do show up in the NV loot tables.
60s britain would probably be better. Maybe even 70s if you want some brown ford cortina.
I'd be okay with this, I'd make a Gene Hunt style character.

Is that hard limit present in Skyrim, by any chance?
