whats with fallout modders and their obsession with trying to make everything really really really dark?
Realism and an excessive reaction to how terribly Bethesda does darkness. I've yet to find a good middle ground anywhere tbh.
so i tried to color the "Gunslinger" perk because i was bored thoughts?
Not best perk / 10

Gave up and installed the convergence thing. Took me 30 minutes as opposed to the 12 hours in total installing, reinstalling and debugging a less comprehensive mod setup, which has reminded me how much I despise the labyrinthine web of load orders. Now i've managed to drink every source of water being sold in the shops i've discovered so far, and i'm still thirsty. Might as well start drinking my own piss at this point, or the more likely option of installing the water bottling mod. [editline]30th December 2013[/editline] Except i'm now getting a constant reminder that the PN extra options hud extensions aren't working.

-snip-
you can change how much water you go through per day, you know..
Yeah, but I figured that the modders would have made water more available in shops if they were going to nearly quadruple water consumption.
Well, that's me finished with New Vegas. Definitely worth all of those hours. The way I finished up was with Yes Man and Independent Vegas, scaring off both the Legion and the NCR, although I did overlook the Powder Gangers; guess I forgot about them after all these months (this playthrough was started many months ago but I stopped some time during Dead Money, possibly because I didn't have the time to invest into that kinda RPG). So yeah; I guess now I gotta wait until Fallout 4 rears its Massachusettian (is that how you say it) head, which despite the recent kerfuffle will probably be some time next year or 2015...
If you attempted to fix the lore of Tactics than the whole game most certainly wouldn't exist for the very reason that Tactics fucked up the core lore for he series.
Please explain how Tactics fucked up horridly. I just want to know why people say it fucked up horridly, all you did was talk about how contrived Fallout 3 was instead of explaining why Tactics was the one that "raped" the lore.
whats with fallout modders and their obsession with trying to make everything really really really dark?
Because The Road was a very good movie. That reminds me, being a relative newcomer to Fallout games on PC, I found a mod back when I was still playing Fallout 3 called "Obscura" or some shit like that. How was it? I didn't download it because I already had a bunch of nice mods and this one changed the whole game, meaning I would have to disable them. Plus it wasn't really an experience I was looking for. I was also cautious seeing as I had never heard about it until that point, which usually means it was bad. [editline]31st December 2013[/editline]
Please explain how Tactics fucked up horridly. That right there is what I meant. It is a direct contradiction, where as Fallout 3 never went that far. Sure, it is fairly small, but it is also important. One could also argue against things like real world weapons being in the game (something even this thread has spent pages upon pages debating over) go against the lore, although they don't outright break it. Apparently the Deathclaws could either be another direct contradiction or simply contrived but excusable, as the Enclave was responsible for making intelligent deathclaws and, until New Vegas, the Enclave had apparently never set foot or at least remained in the Midwest for any large period of time. And in general Tactics was way more inconsistent with the others visually, due to the abundance of modern weapons and more cyberpunk-ish designs for armor and BoS bunkers and equipment. But at the end of the day my point still stands that Fallout 3 doesn't directly contradict canon in any major way. Badly written? Yes, for the most part, but nothing there goes completely against lore.
Nah buddy [thumb]http://static2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100226092112/fallout/images/a/ab/Childkiller_Unused.jpg[/thumb] This is best perk
But isn't that a cut perk? I'll admit you're right, but that isn't in 3/NV. It's a rep title in 1 and 2, tho.
Someone mod it in along with removing the essential status of children. Speaking of which, could you kill the kids at Little Lamplight? Their leader was the biggest douche in the history of douches omg
no, you couldn't without mods or kill command (which I don't know if that worked)

Well when a Bethesda employee was asked about how canon Tactics was they stated they consider all major plot events in Tactics to have happened.
I'm looking through the More Perks mod, just looking at what perks there are and I saw this
One with the Martyrs Some tribals believe that you are a prophet and their lives are at your disposal. When your health is below 50%, a tribal rigged with explosives may show up and sucide bomb your enemies.
:v:

hey, does anyone know how to make creatures/robots smaller in the geck? i have an itch to make a simple tiny securitron companion
That childkiller perk needs to be modded into the game, I know there are killable children mods but its not complete without the amazing picture
Well when a Bethesda employee was asked about how canon Tactics was they stated they consider all major plot events in Tactics to have happened.
The game is considered to be semi cannon. i.e picking and choosing.
It's pretty much saying that some things in Chicago happened. Were not going to say what though.
That childkiller perk needs to be modded into the game, I know there are killable children mods but its not complete without the amazing picture
If I can be fucked learning how to make children killable and make random encounters after killing kids I could try making the original child killer title from FO1 & 2 for NV as a perk. should I have a go at learning how to do so? edit: oh wow this scripting shit is confusing as fuck, yeah screw this. at least I tried.
Mods out the ass gogogo.
Which mods would you recommend in terms of giving more quests? Also are there any mods that boost the level cap or give more skills?
