whats the wheel on the back of the power armor for? its not on the enclave armors so it can't be necessary
It's a fan for the miniature nuclear reactor on the suits. They all have them, as can be seen on the Hellfire, Encalve (both Pacific and Atlantic factions), and the Tesla armors.

Holy shit, no wonder they're so tough.
I guess. Also, I forgot to mention the Tesla and Atlantic Faction's fans are covered by a plate to protect the fan, but you can see the intake at the bottom of the plate.
Issue with the power armor in FO3 and NV is that they don't make you any bigger what so ever compared to FO1/2.
I like to think in Fallout people of all sexes, races and religions have come together to make fun of ghouls and muties instead.
I figured that most people in the wasteland have bigger problems than discriminating against people with different color skin.
whats the wheel on the back of the power armor for? its not on the enclave armors so it can't be necessary
Enclave Armor was developed post-Great-War, so it's more advanced than the Pre-War American T-45 and T-51b. The wheels on the back are most likely hatches that you turn to access the Power Armor's nuclear generator for maintenance.

I remember F1 and 2's power armour. It made everyone wearing it look like giants, and had the protectiveness to match.
that is because [sp]you haven't played ESO. [/sp]
But ESO sucks unless you like generic boring MMOs that just so happen to follow Elder Scrolls lore?
Still can't get FNV running, NVSE works fine but I need the 4gb EXE To run the game without crashing due to mods. But 4gb EXE just launches launcher.exe, which means that NVSE doesn't launch. I hate this fucking game now :(
God damn the Big Guns on FO3 are really underwhelming.
Does anyone have their mits on a decent, not over the top house mod for New Vegas

Turns the abandoned shack just outside of Goodsprings into a cosy little home.
Unless you are looking for something better fits the description of a "house" then this might suit you better.

Plenty of others on the Nexus, you might have to sift through a lot of super player fortress of doom type things though.
One day, someone will make a mod that cleans up the infrastructure, new meets old as people rediscover the invention of paint, wallpaper, concrete and interior design.

I want this to be a thing, surviving in a post apocalyptic world in a rebuilt society seems much more interesting than lol its been almost two hundred years and nobody's pulled their thumbs out of their ass

also the problem is that you don't feel like you're in power armour. i wish you would make big clank sounds when you run, it would be so menacing.

I don't know if this is just FWE or a mod for FO3, but the piston noises you hear when moving in power armor sounds pretty naet
whats the wheel on the back of the power armor for? its not on the enclave armors so it can't be necessary
it's like a wind up key in a toy, you gotta turn it every now and then :v:

i'm pretty sure he meant the valve thingy on the back of the pre-war power armors, which don't have nuclear reactors in them.

Those noises are in vanilla FO3
I give Boone my Glock 86 Mk II (works like the recharger guns) since he kept on picking up guns from the floor and using them; but i'm guessing the AI can't handle recharging weapons very well, since he says he's out of ammo for it. I would let him use my .50 sniper rifle, but ammo for it is as rare as a radscorpion with tits.

Adds a little shack (I think you need a really high lockpick level to get in though) near the northern passage for HH. Has a full crafting station, auto-sort storage lockers, some plants, but nothing extravagant. It fits the New Vegas look nicely. Also comes with a short quest about its past inhabitants, and a couple weapons.

The T-45? It has an air supply for the breathing apparatus for if the gas mask fails or if the air is too toxic for the filters. And yes, it's powered by miniature power supplies (Energy cells if I remember correct, which is essentially a plasma-version of alkaline batteries), not the nuclear reactor the Enclave armors have. As for the valve, I'd assume it's a ball-valve that would turn the air supply on, or would switch to the second tank in the event one failed/ran out of supply.

T-45D is the only known power armor type to not have a built-in fusion reactor. They were upgraded by the East Coast BoS to have MF packs so they'd have a longer life than the original unmodified pieces of shit that ate through SECs like a fat kid eating candy. That valve thingy isn't really explained at all in any of the games.
Also, does anyone know if the creator of Powered Power Armor is going to work on it again? I'd like to see some more stuff done with it, is probably my favorite mod for FNV.

Yeah rechargers basically use their own ammo that's scripted to regenerate through some sorcery, and when you give the followers the weapon, the ammo doesn't get transferred along with it.
So I got really wasted last night and woke up to find that I've downloaded over 60 FONV mods.
How the fuck am I going to sort the load order for these? I need some pointers because I haven't screwed with an incredible amount of fonv mods in almost a year.
[editline]5th January 2014[/editline]
I tried using FOMM but it crashes when I open it for some reason.
NMM crashes less, try it.
Note that I said "less", it still crashes a lot

Try and put one's that change the game more heavily last, unless the mod specifically instructs so, I.E. a faction overhaul should be the last thing to load with all the single weapon mods or single outfit mods going last, also try not to go too high on the mods. 150 is the hard coded limit but it'll fuck up and go nuts waaaaay before that.

alright. Right now I'm gradually adding on mods as I go on.
The problem I'm having is that a lot of the texture and effect mods I have overlap a bit. Like, one texture mod needs to replace X material, but EVE or something also wants to replace it. What should I do when it comes to that?
