Meanwhile the ending quest you do for Caesar is probably the most fun out of all of them.
I think Independent, high NCR reputation, as many allies as possible is my favourite ending. Being able to just waltz through a battle tipped entirely in your favour without needing to fire a shot and also fucking over the NCR while they cover you is fucking awesome.
Especially with the fact having a simple "You were just being a courier before you fell into a coma" allows for more expanding character.
"Fell into a coma" is a pretty downplayed description for being shot twice in the head and buried alive.
Lonesome road spoilers
[sp]I just love how they reveal that the entire game and a large part of the politics of the wasteland is entirely a result of one of your actions in the past, something small that you didn't realize at the time because it was just another quest. It was a huge deconstruction of the game itself and as a way to properly end it, holy shit. [/sp]
Independent Vegas was my favourite ending. nWo for lyfe

imo Lonesome Road is a way better ending to New Vegas than the one in the full game itself. it's just so much more final and definitive

hey wait, [sp]if you talk Ulysses down,[/sp] he gives you campfire recipes. now i'm just imagining him telling you how to properly toast marshmallows
Does FONV let you play after the main story ending or does it pull that FO3 shit on you
I need to get around to beating it, but I want to do Dead Money at the same time, and I figure the best way to prep myself for Dead Money is to do the storyline first
The game ends after the final battle.

It ends after the second battle of Hoover Dam, since any of the outcomes of it would change Vegas a hell of a lot.
Unlike Fallout 3 though the mission that starts the endgame has a pop up saying "Hold the fuck up. Doing this mission will end the game. You sure you want to do this?"
There are unused voice assets hidden in the game that suggest that there was meant to be some kind of post-hoover dam gameplay, but time and budget restraints saw an end to that.

It's been said before, but I'll say it again;
New Vegas would have been a fucking masterpiece had Obsidian had a better budget and more time.

You can say that about most of their games
It's been said before, but I'll say it again;

ftfy
this game would be better if it had better stuff
yeah well no shit
For some reason NVInteriors gives me a crash when I try to use it. How do I fix it? Will a manual install help for this, because it helped for nevada skie s
I just discovered the Fallout film treatment from 1998. My god this is awful.

Now that Fallout's a big name again, we're probably going to see shit like this again one day.
Why the fuck is the English written like that one bad Doom fanfiction? ("I must kill all the demons, no john you are the demons etc.")

Are you saying New Vegas already isn't a masterpiece?
Are you saying New Vegas already isn't a masterpiece?
I feel as if they gave Obsidian more time and money for New Vegas, the result would give Skyrim a run for it's money.
Are you saying New Vegas already isn't a masterpiece?
masterpiece in the sense that its an amazing story with many amazing gameplay options and quirky unique visuals then yes
NV and Fallout 3 are like the classic Aston Martin DB-5, it looks amazing but mechanically the thing was a piece of unreliable shit
Its literally just the engine that is holding them back so much, its about as powerful as a car made out of cardboard and potato chips
If it actually had the technology of a 2010 game it would be fucking incredible, the entire strip tripled in size and no gates inbetween, packed with people and gigantic colorful buildings, more like the amazing huge concept art and less like flashy oblivion
Someone that's playing TTW, can you give me Doctor Li's form id/reference id. I, uh.. Accidentally deleted her because she kept following me around when she shouldn't and then selected something else. And I don't have a real safe close enough.
her RefID in Fallout 3 is 00019fc5. So change the first two zeroes to match the load order for Fallout3.esm maybe?
Are there any homes that aren't mods? I don't remember ever getting the chance to buy a place to day
Also how do you drop a lot of an object without it stacking into 1 object
I basically want to buy a home and drop 200+ dinky dinosaurs on the floor and live there
Why the fuck is the English written like that one bad Doom fanfiction? ("I must kill all the demons, no john you are the demons etc.")
It is written precisely like a bad 90s videogame movie adaptation.
Actually, come to think of it, I am not entirely sure that this isn't just the script for Project Brazil.
Damn, running low on (garry brand) smokes again.
There appears to be a perpetual shortage of cigarettes amongst the denizens of the Mojave.

I don't know about you but for me New Vegas is LEAGUES ahead of Skyrim.
Sure, Skyrim feels a little bit better, and looks a bit better, but the story is awful and the gameplay is repetitive, also it's quite generic.

The combat is fucking horrendous.
I've tried to play Skrim twice now and both times I was fucking bored to tears after about the first hour
The second time I was on a plane flight with nothing to do and had my laptop, I turned it off instead
I feel as if they gave Obsidian more time and money for New Vegas, the result would give Skyrim a run for it's money.
lmao New Vegas is already a million times better than skyrim
[editline]11th January 2014[/editline]
skyrim is a polished turd
I think it was said before, but I forgot; what qualities of the combat engine caused it to suck? Was it the spongy nature of enemies, or the overly-narrow FOV, or that your weapon damage started off in the shitter?
