So how buggy is the current version of Tale of Two Wastelands? Is there a chance it could run on my laptop (which can run vanilla NV on low/med settings)?
It's probably less buggy than vanilla fallout 3, I crash a LITTLE bit, but probably would crash more with vanilla fo3 and mods. I gotta say though, fuck DC super mutants in TTW
Gotta love mods. [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/3371243352295701320/CAEB6D7085AC5A884E9A08C8A22C08BA1EE74C58/[/t]
Could you post a link to that Liberty Prime mod? I need to bring justice to the Mojave, especially with him.

holy crap imagine if house had managed to squirel away a second liberty-prime underneath his tower, NOW THAT is a super weapon worth opening up, not a crappy army of securitrons (even if they are probably more effective)
I dont know why, but I fucking hate Liberty prime

His one liners are one of my few highlights of Fallout 3. They just make me feel so patriotic.
I dont know why, but I fucking hate Liberty prime
Its probably because I'm Canadian
Its probably because I'm Canadian
it's probably because you're a communist
DEMOCRACY IS TRUTH! COMMUNISM IS DEATH!
How can one be so based.
I already have 4 companions but now I want to leave them all waiting somewhere and just have prime following me how the fuck does he navigate buildings though
I know a really low-middle-class guy who bought and installed a bunch of decent cheap PC parts and can play Skyrim just fine.
It is very possible to do so, My pc is about 3 years old and it was about 550 euro and it plays Skyrim at high with alot of mods or new vegas. BUT I do use a 1280x1024 monitor because I can't really afford a bigger one so the stress on the graphic card(main bottleneck next to HDD, Intel I5-750 with custom cooler that I can overclock from 2.8 to 4.0 GHZ or something with good temparture). But I think with the technology advancements you can get a better graphic card then me for the same price I paid for it(80 euro~), they were all new too.
I don't like Liberty Prime that much, it makes me feel like it's just another game that needs to have "Amuurica Fuk Yeaah" element in it which I hate.
My computer held up pretty good when spawning 1000 individual bricks of C4, shame they don't all cause a chain explosion, I tried to detonate all of them at once but it just sent 1000 moving objects around the world, no real drop in framerate surprisingly Exploding 1000 dynamite on the other hand crashed the entire game before I saw a single thing
So how buggy is the current version of Tale of Two Wastelands? Is there a chance it could run on my laptop (which can run vanilla NV on low/med settings)?
it works fairly well but there are issues - no dlc music - broken steel is missing a lot of npc voices - some enemies, such as supermutants, are significantly harder to defeat. sometimes it's almost impossible. feral ghoul reavers are also way too tough. if you encounter one in close quarters, you're pretty much guaranteed to lose.
I don't like Liberty Prime that much, it makes me feel like it's just another game that needs to have "Amuurica Fuk Yeaah" element in it which I hate.
you really misunderstood liberty prime
you really misunderstood liberty prime
he misunderstood the entire franchise
I don't like Liberty Prime that much, it makes me feel like it's just another game that needs to have "Amuurica Fuk Yeaah" element in it which I hate.
The whole series is meant to be a representation of a 1950's alternate future America that went horribly wrong. Liberty Prime, and other overly jingoistic elements are reflections of that.
I don't want to sound harsh or mean but you don't to explain to me what Liberty Prime is because I already knew what it was representing, all I said was I didn't like it that much because it reminded me of something that appeared many times before but in different situation or in different light, it reminds of all these over the top patriotic movies or games. But the message itself was clear to me and it's not like I don't understand it, but I simply don't like it.
For some reason, I have this strange habit of typing in 'Dead Money' whenever I can't think of anything to put in Google Search. I mean, it's not even my favourite DLC. That's Lonesome Road. Dead Money certainly was memorable, with that spooky atmosphere, bear traps as fists and locking myself in the vault twice at first. Never could figure out how to smuggle out those gold bars though.

Dead Money becomes stupidly easy with high unarmed skills+bloody mess. Just do a cross punch in V.A.T.S and the Ghost People go down in 1 or 2 hits each.
I was originally under the impression that the mod setup I had made melee unfavorable, but then I met an enemy with a ballistic fist. I figure, if enemy AI is basically "run at player and use weapon", then I might as well give them a nice smack to the organs for invading my personal space.
best thing about fallout, punching a guy in the chest and having his a legs fall off
With good Sneak or a Stealth Boy you can literally just make the overencumbered crawl almost directly from the vault door to the elevator.
That didn't work for me. I think Elijah sees you if you're even in his line of sight, no matter if you're cloaked or not. Plus, if he gets to the vault door, he powers up the forcefields. I had to wait until he was out of line of sight, turn on an Implant GRX to slow him down, then crawl to the door.
I just use a stealth boy and hide in a corner and wait till Elijah goes to the vault door before quickly sneaking out. That way he's trapped and you get to keep the gold.
Playing with these mods at the moment and the game is totally different! Holy shit, only ever really played vanilla (both on pc and xbox) and never thought of how good fallout NV could really be. I've been in three major firefights at the moment and each have been way more exciting than vanilla. I fought off the powder gangers, killed all of the gangers in Primm and then fought my way to Beagle (who died in the crossfire). The increased spawns means there are more enemies, world of pain means they are stronger and more varied and project nevada adds in some awesome FPS bits. At the moment I'm having a blast. Sure I'm chugging stimpacks and have fuck all ammo, but it really is fun. Can anyone suggest any more mods to add to the mix to make it more fun? My computer is beginning to stutter a little bit and just crashed after about 2 1/2 hours play, but I'm sure there is other cool stuff to add!
Would you or anyone else perhaps have a link to all those mods? And its there any mods that is a must have for NV?
playing some tale of two wastelands, enjoying it muchly, coc to goodsprings to do some mojave stuff, and its a place i know crutches spawn because i wanted a railway rifle, so i go into docs house and the game starts doing the NV intro though im stood in the doorway. panic and coc back outside and it does the animation again. and now my saves softlocked in this intro that doesnt progress. is there anything i can do or is it new game time
this is kinda relevant here http://www.brainpickings.org/index.php/2013/02/18/our-friend-the-atom-disney/ apparently disney actually published a picture book about how the atom can improve all our lives [t]http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cF-_D534LOQ/TuGv_qJCyKI/AAAAAAAADO4/mLe3AYy7cKc/s400/vlcsnap-4969247.png[/t]
I just use a stealth boy and hide a corner and wait till get goes to the door before quickly sneaking out. That way he's trapped and you gets keep the gold.
I learn to let go and begin again. v:v:v
