megaton would make more sense if it was a religiously built village dedicated to the bomb (there were some cultists there afterall). The town was designed from a rule of cool perspective rather than a logical one, which in a RPG falls flat on its face as the story and immersion is arguably more important than the gameplay.
The residents of Megaton and the church of atom should have been separate settlements. Keep the ramshackle crater for atom and give everyone else a nice sandcrete town somewhere relatively safe.
But that's not cool as fuck.

How was it?[/QUOTE] Accidentally skipped the intro in New Vegas, and after making some Mexican guy with a pedostache, I went out and got greeted with the sight of one of those bad robots I had sen in the trailer, so I charged forward and punched it. Then I realized it was that Victor the doc told me about, but not before getting killed. After respawning and getting out of the house again, I didn't see Victor anywhere, so I started testing things on my own and discovered VATS. Found it funny that I ws targeting at some crops, so I made a shoot the the head of the crop. It turned out there was some guy behind the crops, and chased me into some houses when I tried to flee from him, but after killing him and realizing all the town despised me now, I just stopped playing and decided I would restart the next day. Then I spent the next 20 hours playing without following the main quest because I forgot about it, only to remember that I was once shot in the head when I helped the NCR guys kill the Khangs at Boulder City.
NV: friend told me to not go where the deathclaws were. Felt like yoloing, went there anyway. Did not have enough ammo for that shit, nope.

showracemenu type that into console, as for the racial perks, idk you'll have to add those into your game using the player.addperk id suggest using a batch file with all your race perks loaded in, then all you do is type like run.[filename] and it'll pull it up from the fallout directory

Maybe if they had fired the thing out of a mass driver and the shell was made of some ridiculously tough or nigh-indestructible material, then yeah, but as it stands I don't think that's the case.
