Hey guys, I don't mean to barge in here, but I've been making an armory mod for New Vegas (will later on include items, armor, food, etc); and I been wondering, does anyone have any weapon ideas? I can't promise I can do any of them. I'm actually really shitty at modelling and so most of my work is just hack-job model editing of existing content. (But I promise it looks decent)
Look at Cortex Command for weapon ideas, it has some pretty good 'scrappy' weapons.
Could you uh, make those Empty Soda Bottles like, throwing weapons or something? Give them a practical purpose other than cluttering rooms?
That actually is really cool, I'll see what I can do. I might make molotovs though Honest Hearts already adds those. Though it gives me a lot of random ideas for home-made weaponry; thank you.
Could you uh, make those Empty Soda Bottles like, throwing weapons or something? Thank you for the inspiration guys, you're all a great help and I'm happy to give to the community.
A hot key to smack people with my gun if they get too close would be incredible, backpedalling and having to pull out my melee is not fun
A hot key to smack people with my gun if they get too close would be incredible, backpedalling and having to pull out my melee is not fun
Welcome to Fallout :suicide:
Do you like 80s high school films?

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B6cRPSzN9pt5ZzIydTZXdFpHRUU/edit https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B6cRPSzN9pt5YlMydC1ReDkxeTA/edit read through this and decide yourself
...okay, it's not for me, I guess. Maybe the places to visit are nice? No?
A hot key to smack people with my gun if they get too close would be incredible, backpedalling and having to pull out my melee is not fun
set like 3 to be your melee weapon, so all you have to do is hit that....
Anyone recall what command or setting I have to change to slow down the passage of time? It's rather annoying how fast day turns to night.
Set Timescale to (number), but be warned: New Vegas HATES you for doing this. I used to run a timescale of 1 and I'd have to reset it to the default fairly often because the game has a lot of segments where scripts are supposed to advance time and are written in a way that relies on the timescale being 30. If it isn't the game just crashes. The wait function gets very crashy as well. Fallout 3, oddly enough, is much more tolerant of timescale shenanigans. Tranquility Lane and the first trip to Point Lookout tend to trigger the same crash, but otherwise it's just fine. IF you don't want to, or can't, use the console for it, then you can use Imp's Timescale Adjuster. 'Twas my method in NV.
Would you kindly do a Smith and Wesson 500 revolver?
As I stated, my artistic skill is not the best and I'd like the weapons to fit the series' lore and art-style, but I definitely think I'll try making a classy high power revolver like the Smith and Wesson 500, I promise. As a bonus if it makes you feel any better, it will come in 3 lengths. Snub Nose, Standard, and Long (All revolvers will come in these sizes)
Any good mods of recent time?
There's a working RV out right now. You need XRE - Cars to use it, but on the plus side, you can drive the bloody thing around. Perfect for players who like to practice the art of instantaneous cranial ventilation at extreme distances!...and, well, anyone who wants their player home to never be more than 300 or so yards from them at any one time :v: [editline]25th January 2014[/editline]
As I stated, my artistic skill is not the best and I'd like the weapons to fit the series' lore and art-style, but I definitely think I'll try making a classy high power revolver like the Smith and Wesson 500, I promise.
Heh, I think the S&W 500 fits the lore quite nicely, to be honest. It's a logical continuation from the Hunting Revolver, a sidearm you use when in deathclaw country or something.
As a bonus if it makes you feel any better, it will come in 3 lengths. I can definitely do something like that. Glad to see you like the barrel lengths btw. I hope players pick up that shorter barrel versions of guns are meant as more of a sidearm or close range weapon, while long barrel revolvers for example will support things like scopes.
My current character; Ivan Zapinov, primarily an energy weapons user. Probably should've spent more time on the face to make him look more like a mad, roughened Slav. Also, a couple of older pictures of one time when Boone's hands bugged out. [t]http://i.imgur.com/6ZXvSH7.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/C89wQNL.jpg[/t]
Woah where did you get that scar mod?

Would alleviate the problem of the levelled list lottery always turning up snakeeyes when trying to find something that isn't sold by vendors.
I gotta be honest, loving Dead Money so far. But everyone telling me it's horrible is making me anxious :saddowns:
I gotta be honest, loving Dead Money so far. But everyone telling me it's horrible is making me anxious :saddowns:
Never had a problem with Dead Money, most people just complain about the difficulty.
I gotta be honest, loving Dead Money so far. But everyone telling me it's horrible is making me anxious :saddowns:
My only problem with Dead Money was that when I died to the explosive collar, my game would crash EVERY time. I had to reopen New Vegas at least 20 times when I played through it.
Never had a problem with Dead Money, most people just complain about the difficulty.
I loved it the first time, but how linear it is makes me not want to do it again. Only new thing I could do this time is using melee instead of just disintegrating things, there isn't much of a reason to replay it.
Dead Money is at least better than Honest Hearts.
I liked HH, but it's not got much replayability.
Dead Money is the best survival horror game since Silent Hill 3.
I liked HH, but it's not got much replayability.
Aside from getting the loot, of course.
I gotta be honest, loving Dead Money so far. But everyone telling me it's horrible is making me anxious :saddowns:
What usually grinds people's gears regarding Dead Money is those blasted radios. The DLC is quite good but those radios are just a pain in the ass...and are a large part of why I usually don't do it anymore these days. Oh, and the linearity I suppose, though I don't mind it much.
Dead Money is the best survival horror game since Silent Hill 3.
Honestly, I think Fallout needs a spinoff like this. Where like, it starts off like Fallout 3, except your vault is one of those demented experiment vaults and it plays out somewhat like DM or something.
That could actually be kinda cool to have a 'throwback' almost Fallout to one of the experiments just to see the fucked up shit first-hand.
Aside from getting the loot, of course.
The Desert Ranger outfit is nice, so's the 1911, wish it spawned in the Mojave as a regular weapon though.
