I just got the 'too many items' bug for the first time. Scary shit, that.
If I start a new game, will it go away, or will I have to reinstall the game?
The AK is in the same level list as the varmint rifle, so it doesn't replace it, but there is a chance that you will find an AK instead of a varmint rifle.
ok thanks just that I haven't found any varmint and the stats seem the same
I just want to point something out regarding the headwear.

Although I'm using mods that reimplement the Fo3 helmets alongside some new ones anyway :v:
best mod ive probably ever found
http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/38020/?
removes the shitty helmets from 90% of all fiends
No matter what I try, I can't play 3rd person pistol mode properly. The crosshair seems to miss its mark constantly at both long and short range. Mid range it seems to hit decently but even then I miss dead-on shots. Frustrating.
Anyone know of anything that could remedy this and make third person shootan more...no, less bad?
Would prefer Resident Evil-like control scheme with walking as defauly, sprinting(running) with hold down and aiming over the shoulder but...gosh golly darn it, can't seem to make it work.
It just occurred to me that the Vault Security suits actual render much closer to the traditional suits from 1 and 2.

Why the hell is this? In fact, it just looks overall cleaner than the regular jumpsuits.
actually the armored vault suit looks a lot like that, only more worn and dirty

i'm betting they have some sort of base model they use for vault armors
They look like they were made of two separate materials though is the thing. The regular suits look like they were made from cheap fabric.
i think the problem is the jumpsuits are supposed to be made of either leather or some synthetic leather, not cloth and they have all survived 100+ years of use. also don't take the original screenshots from fallout 1 and 2 as completely cannon, theyve always been leather but the technology at the time could only render them as very bland
oh and how can i edit consumables?
i am trying to find Salient Green and Thick Red Paste but I can't find them in Fallout.esm or OldWorldBlues.esm

Game Effects/Ingestible/clutter in the object window.
What kind of bug is that?
My game froze, then my computer froze, then the screen had all these flickering black squares all over the place. I thought my laptop was fucked.
Its not very hot in Delaware y'know.
Last I checked, Washington DC's a swamp.

the average temperature difference between las vegas and d.c. is roughly 15~ degrees
precipitation is the more viable difference, with d.c. having about 55x more rain per month.
Yo what even happened to Hawaii in Fallout? Was it forgotten about? Nuked to hell???
ARE there Surf Mutants?

Fallout: Hawaii tia
Fallout: Hawaii tia
would be pretty weird too, wash up ashore on a raft with just a pip-boy and a bottle of water, i doubt thered be much in the way of nuclear fallout though, the bikini islands were nuked to hell and they're actually inhabitable again because the combination of saltwater and rain washes away all the radioactivity. the place would probably also run on geothermal or nuclear power, but i doubt thered be much in the way of storyline there
It'd be nice to find a resort that survived, they wouldn't nuke Hawaii for any real reason.
ooh the enclave probably has a bunch of old navy ships there nuclear powered too, and there could be some cult living on the battleships there
also since it would be the mid-way point between california and china, they probably had some huge stockpile of power-armor parts because of war
I guess they could just make a Hawaii DLC for the next FO game, depending on where it is, having what happened to the Sierra Madre happen but to a more destroyed effect.
how do i change the range of weapons?
it seems that with pistols the bullets just vanish after traveling a certain distance, as in they don't even hit terrain or anything
wish this game was hitscan, swear to fucking god third person would benefit from it so much
How about Seattle. Could have fun in New Orleans, play with some of the local culture.
i have always been a heavy proponent of chicago for the very obvious reasons of urban sprawl and jazz life and financial/economic importance and just generally the city being fantastic
the problem i have with new orleans is that it is very carnival-esque, and the swampy locale is really off-putting to me personally
hawaii is always an idea people bring up, but hawaii tourist culture didnt really evolve until the early 70s
the real shitty part about new orleans is that the game could not possibly be any worse off than the un-rebuilt parts of the city that still exist today, same thing with detroit, you couldn't make the city look any worse

did we just fucking think up the best possible fallout
did we just fucking think up the best possible fallout
thats the "aloha smoothskin" idea thats been present for a while now
here's how bad fallout:new orleans would be

just put NCR on that

if a fallout took place in chicago it wouldn't have very much urban sprawl, jazz life or anything resembling the financial importance of the place, even if the city had been rebuilt in the 200-300 odd years
at least it shouldn't, the only reason new vegas resembled las vegas is because it survived the direct bombardment and had an old world overseer to see it rebuilt, if they took fallout into another city and gave it the vegas treatment (gave it the exact same vibe but with a post apocalyptic feel slapped onto it) it would feel incredibly cheap especially considering a huge theme of fallout in general is letting go of the old world
would be pretty weird too, wash up ashore on a raft with just a pip-boy and a bottle of water, i doubt thered be much in the way of nuclear fallout though, the bikini islands were nuked to hell and they're actually inhabitable again because the combination of saltwater and rain washes away all the radioactivity. the place would probably also run on geothermal or nuclear power, but i doubt thered be much in the way of storyline there
fallout radiation doesn't work like real world radiation

While I wouldn't mind Chicago, I'd really like to see a game set in Colorado between Denver and CO Springs. You could have the Legion, as well as a BoS (or Enclave, if you were really so inclined) chapter at the Air Force Academy or Cheyenne Mountain.
