I've never used it but doesn't the Battle Rifle/This Machine have poorly aligned iron sights and a stupidly high spread for the type of rifle it is?

I've never had a problem with the sights but you don't want to rapid fire the battle rifle.
I don't know much about guns, but pinging the clip out of the gun like you do with This Machine doesn't look like something you're meant to do.

You mean how the clip flies out when it's empty? On an m1 garand the clip normally pops out like that and makes one of the most beautiful sounds in the world, It would be smarter to catch it and recycle it though.

That's an M14 not a Mini-14 nigga
the mini-14's basically a baby m14 anyway so it doesn't matter really :v:
Also, personally I'd go for a Thompson with a drum mag, assuming you've got Honest Hearts
But the drum mag clips into the good general's back :C
does everything clip or something, jesus christ

Everything clips with everything in Fallout.
does everything clip or something, jesus christ
I've noticed clipping with anything that has a drum mag (.45SMG with drum mag, Riot Shotgun, Laser RCW) and the Battle Rifle/This Machine. Other than that, no issues.
Besides, I can tolerate minor clipping. Power armor does it all the time. It's when shit like drum mag clipping happens where literally a third of the weapon is inside of you that it begins to irk me.

Pretty much every gun clips, or hovers.

Solution: never holster your gun! ALWAYS BE PREPARED TO FIGHT THE RED MENACE

Clipout 3, Clipout: New Vegas
just got back to playing fallout new vegas after a few month break, completely forgot I had a female character and was confused when I took damage and heard her pain sound
;43806000']Any suggestions for a good pistol that a general would have? I'm considering DM Police Pistol.
Go for it. It's a revolver, and if you're going through DM anyway you're going to have ammo out the butthole.
You can add the Power Armor animation flag to the armor - the problem is, you'll also get kinda wonky leg and arm anims with this (since they're made for the chunky PA, obviously). No other way as far as I know (well, unless you were to edit the gun model, but then it'd be off center when actually held and basically what I'm saying is Gamebryo sucks)
Green, if you used Unarmed weapons, the Power Armor standing animation could be hand-waved as some kinda fighting stance or something, what with the spread out shoulders and such.

Spreads fine. I've one-shot sniped deathclaw with This Machine from 300+ yards away before. The bullets fly exactly true when your guns skill is 100.
The irons are misaligned pretty bad, yes, but it's annoyingly enough a consistent issue with the game. Affects pretty much every 2-hand firearm in the game, mod and vanilla alike.

That's the sights of a Mosin-Nagant from a mod, but it's representative of where 95% of the 2-handed firearms' ironsights in the game end up being set to. I've had to go through and manually adjust weapons a few times. Including that one.
And if you're wondering how I got the crosshair visible in ISA mode it's simple. Crouch, aim down the sights, then toggle to third person and back to first without releasing the aim. Crosshair will stay on-screen showing where the weapon will actually hit.

The first time I played fallout 3 (which was my first fallout game) I didn't even know you could holster your weapon. I ran around most of the game with my rifle out, until I saw a sign somewhere that said "holster your weapon or be shot" and I thought "you can holster weapons?".

As did I. I went about 15 or 20 levels through my first playthrough before I figured it out. Before I figured it out I'd get it to holster by sitting in a chair and getting back up again :v:
What are the best body replacer mods for male and female in New Vegas? I want a non-nude, lore friendly one.
I don't think those exist, son.
All you're going to find is type3 and type6
Best? What are you talking about? It's already in the game silly.

Nothing with smaller tits or anything?

There are, you just have to scan nexus for a couple of pages.

Okay, now should I get Robert or Breeze?
Okay, now should I get Robert or Breeze?
Eh, whichever looks better for you?
Eh, whichever looks better for you?
Thanks. I just wanna try Spice of Life and it's a Robert/Breeze mod. It looked pretty nice
Played Fallout 1 for the first time. Im loving it. Actually had more fun than playing Fallout NV... it really allows you to have a good sense of actually roleplaying
I wish it was a direct top down thing though instead of from an angle. That'd further reinforce the RPG feel, but maybe that's just me.

I gotta disagree. I like the angle cause it gives you more to explore, and visually appeal. Although I agree that top down would leave a lot more to the imagination.
I made a new character in new vegas, but my mods conflicted so all the sights for the guns were completely fucking broken
