Never gave it the time of day before, but being a proper alcoholic in new vegas is completely feasible. just asusmed it wasn't because chem addicitions are so hard to maintain There's like a shit-tonne of whiskey in this game and the +2 chr and +2 str is really useful, I'm now playing a raging alcoholic and I can use all the big guns properly because whiskey bumps me up to the correct strength requirment :v:

Hey Guys, my hard-drive might be potentially failing. So if I don't reply to any PMs or Emails or anything, I'm not ignoring you. Just in the midst of buying a new replacement. Don't worry about the mod, I have literally backed it up like 3 times now. Just wanted to give a small status update. in a little bit though, I'm going to come back after conducting some fucking GECK science.

so i've played hundreds and hundreds of hours of new vegas. completed it a bunch of times, modded it inside out, even made my own mods, etc. i've done pretty much everything there is to do in the game, but there's one thing i have never done. i've never played caravan. never even opened the caravan game , never even heard ringos tutorial on how to play it. fuck im not sure if i even have a deck am i the only one who's never touched that out of place card game?

It's quite easy to trick the AI.

I'm not getting dragged into some ingame collectable card game, not again." In over 1,000 hours across 360 and PC I haven't looked at caravan since. I've had enough since Pazaak in KOTOR or that fucking card game in Final Fantasy.

i still can't understand how caravan works even after reading the rules like ten times hell, i can play hearthstone better than this shit

I've played caravan in real life, I love the game :v:

I liked Pazaak

me and my brother opened up caravan and we couldn't between us figure out what the fuck to press or do so we ignored it entirely

I never really took much interest in those sorts of minigames, e.g. the card games and such in RAGE. I make plenty of money hauling tons of trash and the occasional good bit of equipment to traders I haven't bled dry yet :v:

Just make a deck of 10s, Kings, Jacks and 6s. More or less instant win, against possibly Johnson Nash, who is terrifyingly good.

My most recent playthrough, I tried it again. Since I still couldn't figure it out and this is my "what's a good reputation lol" playthrough I just shot him afterwards.

So I've been planning to get back into NV and play all the DLCs for the first time. What are some must-have/good mods? Also what order/point in the main story should I play the DLCs to get the best experience?

And the story dlc should probably be played after you do one of the major faction's first quest imo. Like everyone else said, you should do the DLC in release order, much better.
