energy guns are cooler
energy guns are cooler
Revolvers are just better. Shotguns too. And both are incredebly strong with the right perks, whereas most energy weapons dont have that luxury. That is, going off that you are playing New Vegas. I do like both, I just prefer normal guns, that is all.
abilene kid bb gun is the best weapon hands down

What's this hippie nonsense?
All you need is a .45 Colt and an M-16 like a true American

Too much radiation in your balls is really bad, you know.

it's pretty rad though
Okay, radio station mods! I need good ones! Frankly I can only hear the same songs over and over again so many times.
I heard Camp McCarran Radio is good but I can't find it anywhere?
Tommy Gun+Grunt. Shit will be slapped.

is there a mod to add your own songs and shit?
Sort of like the radio station in GTA SA on the pc which let you add your own shit

I know there is one for Fallout 3, not too sure about New Vegas.
energy guns are cooler
I love energy weapons, but I can never bring myself to justify using them over normal guns. Bullets are more plentiful and frequently more accurate and I can usually find enemies using a version of the gun I'm using if I need to repair.
Anyone use Millenia's That Gun retexture know why it may not be working for me? Is it a problem with GRA?
It'd be so cool if you could get Boxcars as a companion.
I fucking loved Boxcars.
Sure, he has the foulest mouth in the game. Sure he's evil. But I couldn't ever bring myself to kill him, even if he told me to OD him.
"Do I look like some kind of fucking pack-brahmin to you?"(Carry my stuff)
"Holler when you need me to go loud."(Sneak)
"I ain't blowing anything up with this fucking pig-sticker any time soon."(Switch to melee)
"That's what I'm fucking talking about."(Switch to ranged--his signature weapon is dynamite)
"My legs were getting sore anyway."(Stay put)
"Let's roll, motherfucker."(Follow me)
Dynamite is thrown faster while he's in your party, his special quest will involve getting cigarettes for his grandma in North Vegas, and the end perk is either Boxcars gets a special thrown satchel charge weapon, or he gives you a once-daily gift of explosive weapons and/or their base components.
There's enough lines by Boxcars' VA for other NPCs to make a companion version of him possible.
The only problem is that he's an important factor of two sidequests.
How do you keep [sp]Ulysses[/sp] alive?

Marcus and Melissa were both factors in sidequest, but people made companions of them.

is funny
I feel like there's an achievement in spending 3,000 sierra madre chips on nothing but heroin
37 bars of gold and 130 syringes of MedX, that's what I call a sucessful vacation

His VA also voices generic Brotherhood soldiers, great khans, legion slaves, NCR rangers and (Unfortunately unused) Primm residents, so that makes sense depending on which NPC is saying it. He voices a lot of characters.

you know who else uses bullets?
THE COMUNISTS!, lasers and plasma are American made for commie blasting and or melting!
remember, a communist cannot spread propaganda when they are a pile of radioactive goo!

Boxcarbot
Upstairs in the building he's found in one of those containers like a securitron

Communists stole the designs of the bullet from America, which means it's still American!

RACE Radio. There's no DJ but you can add as many tracks as you want. Also gives your pipboy a MP3 player module that lets you control the music far more.
If you'd rather have a proper radio station but with your own music RNV Extended also works.
I really want to replay Fallout 3 but I really can't be fucking bothered spending the entire night picking out and installing mods. Fallout: New Vegas it is, I guess.
TTW.
i always wanted to use sneering imperialist, its a cool perk but since you are SUPPOSED to get on good terms with the tribe i thought it was a bad idea to piss them off, but since the storyline of that dlc is so linear i bet i could slaughter half the place without any problems
AFAIK it works on fiends too.
Blegh, I hate how all these weapon mods just turn Doc Mitchel's house into some kind of armory instead of placing the weapons into leveled lists and shit.
Yeah that's usually a turnoff for me when I'm looking at a weapon mod. I much prefer acquiring my boomsticks by shooting their current owners in the face and stealing them off their corpse, not being handed an arsenal worthy of a small army as soon as my courier figures out how to pick objects up.
I 'spose it's okay for testing purposes but I wouldn't release a weapon that spawned there. If I did give it a fixed spawn it'd be one that made sense based on the characteristics of the piece.
I've beat all the DLCs and now I just want to horde items and mop up remaining quests at my leisure.
Are there any any halfway decent player home mods? Something with lots of storage, nothing given to you, and not a lot of flair? Looking through the nexus most of them look pretty bad...
It's probably still hidden, but if you can get it, the Camper Van is a great one. Modest little player home with an assload of containers in the back and it goes wherever the balls you want it to go. Also you have to buy the thing from Johnson Nash...well...the keys to the vehicle portion anyway. :v: it's kind of ridiculous how convenient it is having your player home no more than 300 yards or so from you at any given time.
If that doesn't strike your fancy there's also the player home you get as a quest reward for completing chapter one of Tales of the Burning Sands...though I'm not sure if a modest house that's perched on a cliffside with an elevator for access is still modest. The home itself isn't flashy or anything. And it's in a fairly convenient place outside of Novac.
There was a really nice Fallout 3 player home mod that was basically an underground vault inside this weird ?phone booth? thingie outside the decaying ship town. I've tried looking for a good vault home for New Vegas but the closest I've ever gotten was an overhauled BoS bunker which was fucking badass...but it wasn't a vault.
