Yes you can? You just get directions to an old military cache instead of info about your Dad
You can if you convince three dog to give you the info then immediately accept the quest but originally if you left and came back later three dog never mentions the station quest again. At least in the original unpatched version he does, may have been fixed since.
lol it sounds like a helicopter
....it is a helicopter. Mostly.
Okay okay it's like what happens if a UH60 and an Osprey fuck, but still. It's about as close as you can get to a helo.
I don't like how in fallout 3 if you manage to circumvent the GNR quest you can't do it later on to still get a better signal, the quest gets locked and you can never give it a shot again.

Really?
Shit.
You can. Just go to Three Dog and chat him up. He'll soon give you a job offer, which is the GnR quest that you turned up earlier, and the reward for it is a loot room in a raider cave in the southern wastes he gives you the key for. Full of all sorts of boom boom.
'Course, since I actually like Three Dog, I don't turn his quest up even when sequence breaking, but still. You have the option of fixing GnR even if you skip his quest initially. You're only locked out of it if you kill him.
holy shit this looks super cool

doesn't seem very practical though
nothing to shoot at :v:
Oh there's plenty to shoot at. Great fun strafing Cottonwood Cove, Fiend turf and Quarry Junction with that thing.
My main issue with it, and the reason I didn't use it more, was that the landing pads didn't always work properly...which doesn't seem like that big an issue(Land anywhere?) until you realize that those pads are the only way to refuel and repair the thing. Gets kind of hard to use the chopper for very long when you land on a repair platform and the actual chopper ends up on ground level fourth dimensioning through the support columns, only to violently explode should you have the audacity to get back in.
Do mods that increase the darkness of night make it so you're more stealthy while outside?
Do mods that increase the darkness of night make it so you're more stealthy while outside?
hah
do you really think gamebryo works like that
Do mods that increase the darkness of night make it so you're more stealthy while outside?
Pfftno, I wish this game was advanced enough to do that. It's why, in my eyes, Fellout is the most annoying addon for nighttime traveling.
Getting shot at? What a shame! Maybe you can use VATS even though you never use it during daytime.
Yea, i dislike fellout nights.
Look cool visually! But gameplay wise it's just a pain
I'm fairly certain the Vertibird is a helicopter?
my point was that the vertibird should sound closer to a twin-engine propeller plane than a helicopter. i assumed that the normal vertibirds use the correct type of sound, unlike this vertibird mod. however, i just found out that vertibirds do actually sound like single-rotor helis. therefore never mind, the mod is fine.
fowe is really good but..
Some weapons refuse to fire.
Widowmaker and some sort of rifle I've found refuse to fire. It's really annoying, anyone have a clue?
I beat the game again... I'm on the last mission again, and then I just have the DLCs. I'm pretty much out of side quests to do...
I don't want it to be over :c

It's the worst feeling ever when you get all the awesome guns you wanted, all the mods for them and the perfect character specs then you immediately run out of shit to do.
"Oh well, time to start the climb again."
Do mods that increase the darkness of night make it so you're more stealthy while outside?
only if the mod specifically includes this feature. Light doesn't directly affect your sneak skill but some mods essentially manually increase your stealth abilities at night.

Theres a simple answer to that, download some action packed quest/world mods.

There are only so many.
There are only so many.
And fewer worthwhile ones.
And nearly no worthwhile ones.
Play the other game, we have two :v:
Play the other game, we have two :v:
Assuming you mean 3, but 3's not as good, though and I've already played it to shit. And all of the gameplay improvements from New Vegas make going back a pain.
And I want more of the mojave, and the NCR and the Legion, and what happens to all the factions following The Dam...
Hell, I just want more Obsidian Fallout, really.

go looking in places you think you visited once and start talking to people, like i didn't know the thorn had a few weird quests or that there was a bunch of quests in westside since that whole place was horribly implimented
even worse north vegas has some good quests and NPCs ive only ever seen once since in a standard game there is absolutely no reason to go in there
[editline]4th March 2014[/editline]
here's the wiki article about north vegas
This is supposedly the slums of New Vegas, as there is almost nothing of interest and the place is mostly filled with unimportant individuals.
So I just got the scouts reports for Still in the Dark, and when I try to talk to Elder McNamera, and there's no option to give them to him. Not another mod cleanup...
actually westside is only good for obtaining large amounts of nuka-cola to convert to ice cold nuka cola and also there is actual ice cold nuka cola there too

well you probably could go back and kill them, i think that might trigger another dialog, im pretty sure they drop a holotape so it doesn't affect the quest
Really wish there was a mod for fallout 3 that changed the levelling system to something similar to the elder scrolls, but I doubt it's even possible.
Really wish there was a mod for fallout 3 that changed the levelling system to something similar to the elder scrolls, but I doubt it's even possible.
Shit, I actually forgot how the leveling worked in fallout a few weeks back.
I was repairing ANYTHING I could get my hands on to increase my repair skill.
Then I tried selling the repaired shit to get barter skill.
Then I broke multiple bobby pins on purpose.
I was still level 2, and my skills seemed to not have increased.
This is what too much Elder Scrolls does to you.
I wish picking locks was harder. I never break any bobby pins.
I got some weird post processing glitch inside a battered vault and it pretty much turned the game into silent hill

it's pretty cool
Fighting ghouls in that would be awesome.

I know there was one, a while back. I'll see if I can find it.

For New Vegas and Fallout 3.

That's what Tale of Two Wastelands is for. And why we use it so much. Lets us explore DC with NV's gameplay enhancements.

More of a scripting issue in all honesty, could be fixed.
Stealth factors in the luminescence values of point light sources but it doesn't factor in the luminance value of ambient light. Pretty fucking stupid, really, especially since some dungeons and locales are much darker than others in ambient light values.

I wish skills could go up to 300 (with diminishing returns past 100) ala fallout 2
It always sucks when you're like "oh well I'm at 100, no way to get better at being a hard ass sniper, I guess I'll be a scientist now."

There are some skill uncapping mods iirc
