Got some good mods for FONV, loving that visible body mod that's on the nexus front page. Also Millenia's bigass weapon pack? It's concentrated gun porn. It almost feels like a new game.

I'm still waiting for the day when he'll do a spas 12
Why did they even remove the dart gun ? It was such a fun weapon. Shit, why did they remove most of Fallout 3's craft weapons ? They were pretty fucking rad to say the least.
The railway rifle was probably my favorite. Nailing raiders severed heads to the wall all day erry day.

He already did the TOZ-34, and from my days as a STALKER, it's the be all end all of weapons. Got a far off enemy? slug em, upclose? buckshot. It's awesome.

and from my days as a STALKER i still worship the spas12
no shotgun tops it.
I hate killing people in games
It's the idea more than anything, these (ones and zeros with poor animation) "people" where once brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, husbands and wives that where born and cared for as children they played in the sun and learnt about life and maybe even found love.
And then comes along the supposedly good courier six and blows there head clean off without so much as a second glance. you're basicly a mass murdering arsehole.
Killing is a horrible thing to do and there is so much more skill in not taking the easy way out and killing people. i like to think courier six is better than that.
I'd love a tranq gun. maybe a hunting rifle or something.
I've thought about this too, but honestly, the thought that they're groups of pixels and/or electrons that are programmed to automatically attack my player character on sight usually overrides any thoughts of that nature.
I'm thinking of getting this:
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/19864/?
It any good?

Looks like it could fuck with the AI or the level geometry if whoever made it was lazy. Also, I feel like the only person who has never had problems with Gamebyro games crashing.
Instead I get stupid asshole texture loading problems that make everything look like shit even on my 5770. Now that I have a 780 and 6 GB of system ram, if I get pop-in when I start playing again I'm gonna rip someone a new one.
I'm not quite sure if I can make a gun work totally like the MGS tranq-guns, but I'm pretty sure I can add stun to a gun.
I'm thinking of giving a gun low damage, but a decent chance at stunning people when it crits, which then is why you should use it in stealth mode.
Also:
12GA minigun anyone?
Pentazemin that increases gun skill?
FRAG 12 ammo? (I don't remember if this is in GRA :v: )
If I can get the model for it, a flaregun that uses 12ga ammo, and add a new next to nothing damage slug, but it ignites shit?
I'm thinking of getting this:

yes, but it makes three dog's comment about trees make no sense
.357 Mag ShotShells - small damage, small spread, not many pellets
FRAG 12 ammo
.40 S&W cal for use in 10mm guns?
12ga flare ammo
A new rifle caliber that gets ammo that paralyzes and some ammo that frenzies what it hits?
These won't be super calibers, they'll most likely suck for use, but will certainly add some flavour to the game.
Suppressed 9mm pistol from the start that stuns/paralyzes guys when it crits
Throwing stuff for distraction, baseballs, empty magazines
Holotapes/folders/dossiers with info on other gear
Nightvision goggles?
Pentazemin increase the guns skills/number of AP points for VATS for a little time
Flaregun if I can get a model, uses 12ga caliber, comes with some flare rounds that will works in every other 12 ga gun, is a slow slug that ignites, but does little damage otherwise
Full-Auto 12ga shotgun that uses box magazines
Add a compound/camp ala Camp Omega, but not that big
Add new guys with the new stuff
Add random npcs you get to assassinate, which respawns regularly ala Skyrims infinite quests
-Talon Company Officer:
Is out walking with his buddies, is easiest just to snipe the target and flee the scene.
-Rogue NCR Spy?
-NCR Mole:
Make a computer inside McCarran that is used by a few guys
Make only one of them are the target, can I make the quest fail if you kill the wrong guy?
This can only be detected by using the computer and reading the files on it.
-Legion Defector?
Add a briefcase with a little extra something something of the new content for starter characters?
Outfits that can be reskinned perhaps?
Kings Outfit MSF combats
Memphis Kid MSF relaxed combats
Merc Grunt MSF uniform
Wasteland Doctor Fatigues MSF Medic
Chinese Stealth Armor MSF Sneaking Suit (both with and without helmets)
Combat Armor MSF Heavy Battle Suit
Combat Armor Reinforced MSF Heavy Battle Suit Mk I
Combat Armor Reinforced Mk II MSF Heavy Battle Suit Mk II
I can do some GECK stuff and I can do simple re-skins and some modelhacking, but I'm not that great at it.
Probably no voice-acting for this stuff, gonna use generic voices for the part that requires it. Might just make every quest some different notes that give them to you.
Is there a Fallout 1 mod to remove the year limit?
There's no fucking way I'm getting that done in time.

You are like the complete opposite of me
I kill people in this game willy nilly because its funny and they explode into tiny gibs, I've actually ruined the wasteland because nobody respawns and most of the towns are empty now

You mean the quest timers ? It's actually way more time than you need, it's a fairly short game. Just don't go too crazy on the travelling or you might trigger some bad endings for some of the towns.
Is there a Fallout 1 mod to remove the year limit?

Well to the guy making a MGS related mod. For tranq ammo, .22, 9mm and .308 are going to be important. I'll be using the PSG1 mod.
I'm thinking of adding new weapons in a new caliber that does these things. It's to avoid people using the new ammo in full-auto weapons. I Might make the ammo have next no damage instead
Anyone ever use the bean bag shells?
Not yet, gonna test them more tonight
Not yet, gonna test them more tonight
Beanbags are fun. Download that fatigue fixer from the Nexus to get a better effect.

I take the non lethal option whenever there is one in a videogame because it's refreshing.
So many videogames expect you to constantly kill and have this ethic ingrained into their very mechanics (and usually the story) that killing is necessary (usually to advance the game).
Even though the story of many videogames attempts to state otherwise, the writers usually disregard that the gameplay itself conveys a message.
The only reason I've not done a pacifist run of NV yet is because some people need to die for the golden ending and dragging along Veronica or Boone or whoever to kill them for me doesn't feel like it keeps to the spirit of things.

Don't make pentrazemin increase gunskill, make it stop gun sway like Steady. That's how it works in MGS.

Remember that vocal variety mod I was planning? I started work on it yesterday.
Nothing big so far, just a bunch of lines for Brotherhood NPCs. I've managed to implement 13 voices as of speaking. (Three female voices, seven male voices.)
As it turns out, Bethesda had lines recorded from the other VAs that were left unimplemented in the Fo3 BSAs. Special props to Gregory Gorton who recorded lines for almost every generic NPC in the base game only for Johnny Contino to hog the spotlight as the default wastelander voice.

There's some weird monotone Texan guy who's used for the generic NPC's you're not meant to talk to. Literally all his lines are "HEY DERE". and "BAIH."
That would be Talon Company. Although they do have lines for being mezzed and reacting to being collared. The voice is similar to the ones used for Sibley from Anchorage and the slavers from The Pitt, so I'll probably combine them together.
He also voices several younger male Fo3 NPCs such as Sticky and Butch along with Montgomery and most of the other anchorage soldiers.

That reminds me of that one Brotherhood Scribe whose got a fairly normal voice, but will hiss "later" at you in a really sinister manner when you end convo.
I'd assume it's just a reused line from one of the fiends due to some oversight but the disconnect between that and his normal voice is so weird.

That's actually a bug. Sometimes New Vegas will randomly decide to play the 'later' line recorded for Antony instead of whatever NPC is actually saying it. And sometimes, as is my usual experience, NV will do this about 80% of the time. Even for females and kids.
