As much as I dislike the Legion, I really wish they could have been fleshed out more.
[sp]Which is why I still root for a Fallout game set in Denver.[/sp]
And if you side with House you'll eventually get to go to space.
Wait what?
Wait what?
If you ask him some questions about why he's doing things the way he is, he mentions his timeline of building a colony ship and sending some colonists to mars or some other planet.

It's implied or stated somewhere (if it's in the credits or ending cutscene, I wouldn't know, having never finished a game of NV) that if you side with House, New Vegas begins to kind of rebuild humanity, and within decades, they're at an advanced enough point that they can go into space. I don't think you actually see it in the game though.

however..
it's semi-implied that the yes-man ending is the canon ending with you spending your twilight years at Big MT
[sp]The end of the DLC has you hijacking the ship and fighting off another alien mothership while also fighting off boarding parties. It's really effing fun IMO.[/sp]
Well what else do you expect the captain to do?
don't ask me. i just told him what the "space combat" is like. and it's precisely that; pressing a button between waves of aliens. don't get your knickers in a twist about it.
[editline].[/editline]
mmm yes, keep sending boxes my way.
Playing around with GECK, using the FCO mod I modified most of the White Glove Society members to look similar to each other(Chauncy and Marjorie excluded), and used glowing blood thinking it would also edit their gib colors (like glowing ones), which didn't. Is there any way to edit humans so that whenever they gib, they have green flesh instead of red?

How long could an independent New Vegas survive against subsequent NCR/Legion invasions?
Those fuckers don't give up and they keep getting stronger and stronger, I doubt they wouldn't be able to take the Mojave back.

Well, if we do take that ending as canon.
Big MT has forcefields and holograms to to mention an abundance of weaponry and tech nobody could imagine, plus it's always being upgraded with new stuff.
an independent NV with you at it's heart would be a boon for the entire world.
Plus i don't think Six would actually do anything bad with NV a good/fair Six would fix up freeside and return life.
Idealy, in a perfect world
What would you want to see in the next FO?
bigger focus on weapons/weapon variety.
This is god damn America where everyone is packing heat, and it took until FONV to introduce the iconic American M16 and 9mm pistols? Where is the carbines and grotesque amount of shotguns?
Semi destructible environments
In that, a fragile 400 year old half broken rotting moldy ass door hanging on with one hinge missing it's top half and with broken glass (that you could easily slip your arm inside and unlock it.)
Can be called LOCKED but instead can be broken down with a god damn swift kick.
Moving objects and statics
Instead of just being a standard black transition screen, maybe show us the monorail at the very least pull out of the station.
Bigger settlements
It's been two hundred years since FO3 and in NV they have established there is now a republic.
With a work and thriving economy capable of funding a army.
It has scientists, blue collar workers farmers and trade, civil sectors and education.
So why these games are still being set in frontier towns with only 7 people (goodsprings, primm, novac, nippton.) boggles my mind.
A guy can dream.
ideally a game that doesn't just feel like a shallow reskin of new vegas and doesn't need modding to fix anything
looking at you, skyrim

I want metro 2033 but open world.
So basically I want the game to be developed by anyone but Bethesda and not made on the creation engine.
Fallout 4 on Frostbite 3 do it bethesda
Putting lens flare on everything won't help the game any lol

Ooh, Deathclaws in there, better look for an alternative way

i'm gonna say what i said last time: Nevada Skies + Glacier engine = amazing fuckin visuals
Monsters roming around everywhere doesn't sound safe to me.
If you look at the history of the roman empire you will see that it was made up of convicts and assholes, completely devoid of women (sound familiar). Hell, even its founder killed his own fucking brother. Expansion comes with war and everything bad that comes with that. After a while they started to knock their heads together and do shit properly. Although slavery is bad, the Romans wouldn't have gotten anywhere without them.
Who cares if they are monsters when there is a good chance they could essentially make the wasteland the best fucking place on earth. I'd honestly like to see the Legion winning as being canon, it would be much cooler to see how the Legion shapes up once Caesar dies and people start coming in to seize that power, possibly changing Legion policies in the process.
Alright, new problem with my 2 hand sawed-off shotgun. World model and NPC models stock look like this:

Yet when I hold it, it looks like this:
[t]http://i.imgur.com/lNogIVX.png[/t]
What would I have to do to correct this?

Are you using millenia's textures? Because if you are then its probably because his texture doesn't match up with the texture map on the vanilla model
Are you using millenia's textures? Because if you are then its probably because his texture doesn't match up with the texture map on the vanilla model
No retexture mods are used.
No retexture mods are used.
Really? Open it up in Nifskope and look at the texture paths, maybe something's off.
No retexture mods are used.
You should still probably check the UV map on that section of the model, see if it lines up with the texture. If it doesn't, that probably means that you are using the wrong texture. I can't really think of what it could be and since I don't have NV installed right now I can't really get hands-on with it right now.
Am I the only one who loathed the abundance of cowboy weapons in FONV?
I mean the single action revolver and top & under shotgun are pretty cool but wouldn't they be a whole lot rarer 400 years past their service time?
ideally a game that doesn't just feel like a shallow reskin of new vegas and doesn't need modding to fix anything

I want more enemy variety. Bethesda games have the annoying tendency to reskin enemies and call them "new". The Tunnelers from Lonesome Road, for example, are reskins of Spore Carriers, which are themselves reskins of Trogs from The Pitt. I'm aware of the various developmental constraints, but at least give them a behavior that makes them functionally different from the thing you're reskinning. An on-hit effect and a color change doesn't make it new. This is one of the reasons I liked Dead Money so much. It had enemy behaviors that were totally different from anything else in the game. Those speakers can go to hell. though.

gun runners make new weapons all the time.
making plasma/laser/high quality firearms takes time and precision equipment along with non rusted broken parts
Back in those days when those weapons where common, they didn't require as much tech as a more elaborate m16 would.
It's easier, faster, more cost efficient to make

A fallout game not on Bethbryo.
An isometric fallout game in the vein of Wasteland 2.
Bethesda selling the rights to Fallout back to Interplay so Black Isle games can make another Fallout 2.
If that isn't possible, then Bethesda needs to grant unlimited time and funding to Obsidian for Fallout 4, as well as not using Bethbryo, preferably UE4, or Source 2 if it is finished in time.

i'd sort of love a fallout diablo-like
That'd be cool as shit, and while not turnbased like the old games could potentially be quiet fun.

That'd actually be shitty. The turn-based system is what makes fallout interesting. It gives you time to weigh your choices while simultaneously making you get into very difficult situations.
Putting lens flare on everything won't help the game any lol
I recommended it because of the destruction physics, but if you want a brokeass game on the gamebryo engine then it is your choice.
