Have fun with toasterOS

What do you even do? I've had two playthroughs over 83 hours and I can't get myself to start another playthrough because I just can't find anything new to do.

Sometimes, the power of roleplay in one's playthrough can waste a lot of time if you have it in you.
It'd be really cool to see a Fallout game placed in Denver after the inevitable fall of Caesar. All the factions competing for his old land would be pretty cool.
That's what I keep saying! A Fallout game set along the Front Range would be great. You get a faction like the BoS (or Enclave, if you really want, I guess) holding out in Cheyenne Mountain, you get the Legion trying to exert control from the West, and maybe a few other factions. Maybe have some roving Midwestern raiders like a biker gang or something, I don't know.
Is TTW really good ? I'd assume it's unbalanced as FUCK.

Mods, mostly. My plugin list is so long that I dare not actually post it when called for(Instead I use a pastebin link). 78 plugins at the moment and I'm still missing quite a few mods I usually run.
Also, if you've only ever done two playthroughs of New Vegas, you've only experienced two of the four main storylines. So there's an incentive to pick it up again without modding I suppose.
Is TTW really good ? I'd assume it's unbalanced as FUCK.
It is really good and it isn't unbalanced. It's actually quite well balanced. Mostly. I run the optional rebalance for super mutants that changes them over from high-HP bullet sponges to a much more logical high-DT medium HP setup(excluding Behemoths). AP ammo shreds them, HP just pisses them off, standard ammo will get the job done eventually. Which is as it should be IMO. And it's optional if you prefer them to be bullet sponges.
The only imbalance I've ever noticed, keeping in mind I prefer easy games to begin with, is the behemoths. At 100 guns it only takes four .308 AP rounds out of a good condition hunting rifle to drop them. Or two sneak crit headshots. Just two. And since you're going to be swimming in perfect condition hunting rifles once you start roaming DC it isn't exactly hard to get to this point.
Weren't those things supposed to be threatening?

Its yet to be unbalanced for me. I think its the best way to play Fallout 3 at least, close to vanilla but adds all the little things that make NV better gameplay wise.
I'll probably check it out eventually then. Can it be installed over a modded NV or does it actively replace too many components for that ?

As long as none of your mods conflict with it(Few do) you can toss it right in. You'll want to start a new character, though, TTW assumes you'll do so and is scripted around starting in Vault 101. It is possible to play it on an existing character but you break a few quest scripts that trigger during FO3 chargen and you have to COC to Megaton and make your way to Vegas that way...at which point you wake up at Doc Mitchells after being shot in the head again. By the same guy. For the same delivery.
It's also worth noting that most FNV mods work quite well. Mods that only effect the Mojave generally don't conflict, and mods which add items to levelled lists will often spawn loot in DC as well without any patching necessary. I find Gyrojets on raiders all the time yet I have not modified the plugin in any way. And some mods have a TTW version. Fellout, for example. Or NV Interiors(This is made by one of the TTW devs so the TTW Interiors mod is made bespoke rather than converted by a third party).
I thought TTW just gave you a way of travelling to the DC wasteland from the Mojave with an already existing character, but okay.
Nah. It used to be that but it's so much more now. They're trying to unite the two games into one, so that's why it's scripted around starting in Vault 101.
Once you can get through downtown DC you can travel between the two freely.
Nice. Downloading it at the moment.
Will probably play an evil character, haven't done that in a while. Fallout 3 with signature weapons is probably really fucking good :v:
What's a good way to get your reputation back up in Goodsprings?
What's a good way to get your reputation back up in Goodsprings?
I don't think there's any other way to reach max positive reputation with them than to do the entire tutorial, save the lady who's attacked by geckos, fix the radio and complete the ghost town showdown quest without losing anyone.
Also, I assume they don't, but do mods for Fallout 3 work with TTW ?
-snip-

Heh. It even lets you do a character wherein they're an evil asshole throughout FO3 and Broken Steel, but upon arriving in New Vegas, try to make amends for their actions in DC.
The main mods I suggest using alongside TTW are:
Fellout: TTW edition
TTW Interiors(It, among other things, adds in a badass art-deco theme for DC player houses)
JIP Fast Travel(Mod has optional TTW support)
4GB loader(You're asking NV to load two games at one time. It's gonna need this.)
wouldn't fellout TTW edition conflict with nevada skies ?
Recently started to play Fallout 3 since I realized that while I played NV a lot I've never done a complete run of F3 with all (or most) side quests
And jesus christ this is so much buggier than New Vegas than I remembered.
Weapons are so unresponsive, some weapons have like a half a second delay between a mouse click and the gun actually shooting and it drives me nuts, then again I guess bullet time mods don't help with that.
Well, after finally installing all of the DLC for NV, I'm getting TTW currently to give it a shot.
wouldn't fellout TTW edition conflict with nevada skies ?
I'm not sure. I stopped using NSkies for an unrelated issue. It, through no means I could determine, was giving me dead zones in the wasteland where saving my game crashed it instead. Uninstalling NSkies also removed those dead zones, so I don't use it anymore.
When I did use it, though, I didn't notice any issue with Fellout for NV. So I'd assume it wouldn't bother Fellout: TTW either. Then again the issue I had with it may very well have been due to running both at once, which since I never was able to find out the exact cause I can't guarantee anything either way.
Is it normal that extracting the .bsa using the installer takes more than 10 minutes or did that thing freeze ?
And I'm using NSkies because it comes with the additional perk of making hacking piss easy :v:

Yeah it can take a while. Took me about 20-25 minutes to create all the mod files.
aAhahaha, the tried-and-true "There's only one word on every terminal" bug.
The lockpick is simple as fuck anyway so I don't see why I should bother with hacking being complicated.
seeing all this ttw talk, i think it's a good idea to say that FO3 is at -67% off on gmg

I clicked on something and I don't know what it is, but this happened in MO

How do I get rid of that annoying collapsing shit that pollutes my mod list
By using FOMM instead?
Why the fuck would I use an outdated pile of garbage like FOMM
Point of MO is that it takes like 3 seconds to safely deactivate a mod, if no other mod manager can do that then I'll not use them.

FOMM is definatly not garbage. If you have a bit of patience, its very dependable and solid. I've never encountered any sort of bug or error that wasn't my fault with it and it does everything a mod manager should.
I installed Increased Wasteland Spawns for New Vegas. I had That Gun and 150 rounds of ammo and was heading to REPCONN. I had to turn on god mode because i couldn't get out of there alive, i killed at least 100 ferals and had leveled 4 times by the time i made it to the front door.
I just remembered that there's even more ferals inside of Vault 34, so i think i'm gonna get to empty a vault of ferals. Also speaking of Vault 34, why were they all ferals? I was surprised to see zero sane ones there. I figured that there'd be a janitor named Miguel that's still sane taking care of a small room and tells you to fuck off as soon as he sees you.
Speaking of broken stuff the latest update of MO completely breaks fomod installation and the NCC downgrade fix brings up other script exception issues.
So basically installing TTW will be permanent and irreversible because fomods are broken as fuck.

And the 4gb New Vegas thing doesn't work either because of "access denied" errors and when running with admin mode on "binkcopytobufferrect@44" errors, followed by an access denied message.

And isn't the mod supposed to make me start at vault 101 ? I get the two successive intro movies, then I just start at goodsprings. I did the .ini changes.
[editline]31st March 2014[/editline]
It also broke my Mod Configuration Menu. It broke basically everything.
