Totally worth it, aiming at specific body parts usually fails and you need the extra AP.

Theres plenty of other player homes that are interesting, but some could have conflicts with other mods, not be updated, have glitches, not finished, etc.

The only reason you would want VATS is when you want to shoot deathclaws in the eyes with a plasma rifle. So yeah, not worth it.
I play on Xbox, so I've never had a mod. I have Brokensteel & Mothership Zeta for F3. For F:NV I have Sierra Madre broadcast.

vault 42 is a simple little one, its got an item sort system, all the crafting stuff and a set of combat armor, and its just a small 1 room vault, but its really well done and it even has scripting for companions so they'll come in and do stuff except ed-e who is scripted to just float around in circles outside the door

Minus a few specific mods that just say 'fuck you!', I actually have a more stable game with mods than without.

Fast shot is by an large the worst trait in fallout 1/2, which is what he's talking about.
It's pretty great in new vegas but it's shit in fallout 1/2
Shots to the eyes, head and crotch are very likely to produce massive critical hits in fallout 1/2 and not being able to do those shots will gimp you pretty bad.

WRONG. Fast shot, small guns at 150+, Bonus ROF, Action Boy, 10 Luck, Sniper, and two P90cs, everyfuckingthing within range is dead. In one FO2 playthrough, i could do 4 bursts with the two P90cs, and with Sniper, that did several hundred points of damage at a time. I absolutely fucking shredded Frank Horrigan.
Don't want to spend shitloads of dosh on ammo for the P90s? Why not get a .44 revolver with a speedloader, dump 6 shots into your target for 2AP each and reload for 1AP.
