I still haven't updated TTW past the version where the Rock-It launcher doesn't work because I keep hearing about awful bugs in the later versions.

I'm on the latest, 2.4, and I can play for 3+ hours without a crash. I haven't encountered any progress stopping, game breaking bugs either. Nothing that I couldn't fix.
Biggest problem I have is not being able to interact with the door to the trainstation that lets you enter the Mojave, but I really only downloaded TTW to play Fallout 3 and I'm sure theres a fix for that somewhere.
There are about 6 patches on the 2.4 download page that fix various problems like the one posted above and there are a few compilation fixes as well such as the YUPP one which I had never heard of before.
Here's the fix for the citadel. http://taleoftwowastelands.com/comment/16735#comment-16735
Is there a version of TTW that doesn't require the DLCs for NV and F3?
God damn it I spent the whole day trying all kinds of fucking fixes and then I found out that it was FOOK being a buggy shit.
I never slammed uninstall harder on something in my entire life
Ahh, yes, FOOK. Aptly named because it fooks up the game and breaks everything.

Nope.
I think once I make sure that this radio staition mod works (I just got home), then I'll make a 1980s station.
well then

Fixed my problem.
Also fuck you Amata I save the vault from red vs blue scenario and make you overseer and you kick me out forever.
So I just realized that I accidentally started lonesome road with more NCR fame than strip fame, somehow, even though I've been doing mr. house's questline so far. If I go back and get more strip fame, can I still get the old world flag Courier Duster? Or does it set it in stone when you start the dlc?
from the wiki
Wearing a faction-specific armor before confronting Ulysses can change which duster you will receive. For example, if you are favored with the NCR, but wear an NCR disguise, your fame with them will be set to neutral and your second-highest fame will become your highest for the duration you wear the disguise.
seems calculated at the end
Ok, fucking problem. I've made the test mod for the radio station, but when I start the game up, it just freezes.
[editline]14th April 2014[/editline]
Actually scratch that, a reboot somehow fixed it.
One thing that suddenly comes to mind now that I'm replaying Fallout 3 is that NPCs who have quests for you are flat out broke and can't seem to pay you in caps but instead reward you a smile from God or something that could be decent.
I can understand some exceptions in a lore reason seeing how there's no structure in the Capital Wasteland but christ, having to find some scrap metal/sugar bombs/books/locations for caps is just a chore.

It works.
Now to get to work.
I'll make two radio stations. One with regular lore friendly music, and the other pure 80s.
Is there a limit to songs I can put on my radio?
knowing the engine it'd probably blow up into a stuttering mess after long enough but considering some radio mods have 100+ tracks you should be fine
since a video I found said I should have two "playlists", then I suppose to lists of an even amount of tracks will do.
I'll start a 1.0 with just the music, then plan for adding more songs, and perhaps radio commentary.
First thing's first, Songs, and converting them.
[editline]14th April 2014[/editline]
I'll make two playlists for both mods, with 10 songs each.
So 20 for one and 20 for the other, that should be a good start.
Also once I finish and make sure they both work, I'm going to place the download here, so you guys can test them out for it and give me feedback, that would be awesome.
Did no-one save that Radio McCarran mod? I've still got Terryberry Tower and I can't even run the game on this laptop.
OK
I have just finished not only choosing, collecting, and organizing the songs, but I have converted all 40 of them to mono .wav files.
Now ends the first two steps and on to step 3, the real work.
As for the songs I've chosen, well it'll be a surprise.
Just started Mothership Zeta. I like to pretend that you never actually got abducted, and you went through the wasteland tripping out on mushrooms.

It even heals rad sickness and glows green!
They did a sequence like that in Point Lookout, but I thought it fell flat.

I can just imagine a dude in a Vault suit stumbling into a raider camp with eyes as big as dinner plates, touching and poking things like they're all alien shit, and as soon as the raiders get aggressive, he starts blasting their shit and telling them to back the fuck off because they're not going to probe him again.

You should've converted them to Ogg Vorbis, which is Bethbryo's native audio format. I don't actually know of what advantage that gives, but i imagine it does something.

Possible next idea for a character. HOBO JOE

Well the mono .wav thing works for now. So I'll just stick with that for the 1.0

Literally every RPG character is a hobo.

If I'm a hobo then why do I have a house in Megaton?
[editline]14th April 2014[/editline]
Also fucking Legion assassins always show up at the worst time.

Is it a house or a place to put things so other people won't nick 'em/the game won't delete them?
