I've come upon a pretty unique and irritating problem with my new vegas. After modding it quite severely, I noticed some weapons simply...didn't fire. They wouldnt play any sound or animation, just wouldnt fire. and when I switch from these broken weapons after trying to fire from them, I find I can't fire with any weapons. Restarting new vegas fixes this until I use one of these weapons again, so naturally i just learned to avoid these weapons as the were so few in numbers. They all seemed to be random too, not from any one mod pack, rather some weapons from milena, the armory, project neveda and even some ttw weapons did this. now that i'm replaying lonesome road, though, its become a problem as it seems to be happening to the laser detonator as well. I did all the usual stuff to see what mod was causing it, disabled everything and re-enabled one by one. but i've found that even with no mods active at all, it still happens.

Is this a common problem that there's a common solution too? I've been googling for a while and I'm having trouble even bringing back relevant search results let alone solutions. Reinstalling completely is inconvenient for me, and failing getting the laser detonator to work, is there a console command to detonate the war heads at all?

Try disabling mods you think may be an issue, then test out current saves with that bug.

I've done all that, one by one disabling and one by one enabling, as well as trying out different saves. Even with no mods on, the problem persists

Well, for starters, it gets along with Windows 7. Then there's all the gameplay improvements. DT. Better variety of perks. Better companions. Different, and in most cases better, mods(XRE - Cars works a treat in DC with the right config).

There's a whole hell of a lot more to it than just "Hey look I've got a brush gun and I just shot Colonel Autumn in the face with it."
