Like Mothership Zeta...

You must be mistaking this for a game that isn't Bethbryo. New Vegas can barely handle drivable cars, nevermind spaceships.
Am I the only one who doesn't remember any space combat from Zeta at all.
He's talking about the final battle in mothership zeta.
You know, where you push the shield and laser buttons?

People keep bringing it up and I'm perplexed as all fuck about it.
i don't recall the space combat part in zeta being very memorable
it was only some cool scripts and effects
We need a mod to make your character a fat person, really, it would be funny to see this

Basically there's four buttons in front of you, one charges the ship's gun but not the shields, one charges the shields but not the gun, the one you don't need charges both a little, and then one to shoot. You charge the shields to not die and charge the gun to kill the other dudes.

All I remember is you had to turn off all the death ray generators, and after you do that you gotta use the death ray, which you can't use now, but apparently you can.
So either there is a back up death ray/generator, which makes that previous quest pointless padding. Or Bethesda didn't give a fuck.
Yes.
Works for every single .exe file ever.
Just back it up in case I'm wrong.
There's also the "Large Address Aware" patch that was passed around the darkest hour/mare nostrum forums a while back, does the same thing but I think it might be a much simpler app

Actually nevermind, I recall that one had an issue with fallout new vegas exclusively :suicide:
Still works for most other crashy games though

"What should be the climax of our alien spaceship dlc?"
"I don't even care anymore."
The big problem with the Fo3 DLCs is that they're about setpieces, not stories.
Let's use Point Lookout as an example - what was the main plot of Point Lookout? Was it about the decades long feud between Desmond, Calvert and the dozen or so remaining pre-war entrepreneurs locked in their pointless game of cat and mouse? Or was it about the brain-damaged tribals that paid tribute to a hallucination-inducing fruit plant and the ferryman who was manipulating them? Wait, or did the plot have to do with the locals worshipping an elder god and the tragedy that would entail if the unholy book related to said elder god wasn't destroyed? Or was it about having to find Nadine?
There is no plot in any of these DLCs, just theme park attractions. Anchorage is literally a virtual reality video game. The Pitt had the illusion of a story that was just so tightly structured around its 'dubious moral choice' that it all falls apart at the end. (Protip: You somehow made Werhner a worse villain than Ashur. Good job guys.) Broken Steel was just an epilogue so it doesn't count.

For your point about Werhner and The Pitt, the situation is roughly like a good guy backed by bad people and a bad guy backed by victims of of the other bad guys. Sort of a contrast there.
Well, the focus of The Pitt is on the figureheads of each faction. And the balance between whose in the right becomes lopsided with a single holotape in Ashur's room meant for his daughter. Ashur is having to juggle ruling with an iron fist to keep the more unstable raiders under his watchful eye in line and slowly relinquishing the slaves from their captivity and returning their rights in the hopes that one day The Pitt will finally become a safer, more prosperous place to live in.
Meanwhile Werhner is an asshole who tries to take over just because he can. There's literally no depth to the guy and it's kind of aggravating when the whole selling point of The Pitt was that either choice would be both good and bad. Werhner isn't fleshed out enough to make this work.
Also it's weird when you realize A̶s̶h̶u̶r̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶W̶e̶r̶h̶n̶e̶r̶ ̶s̶h̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶a̶ ̶v̶o̶i̶c̶e̶ ̶a̶c̶t̶o̶r̶.̶ W̶h̶o̶ ̶a̶l̶s̶o̶ ̶v̶o̶i̶c̶e̶d̶ ̶E̶u̶l̶o̶g̶y̶ ̶J̶o̶n̶e̶s̶.̶ ̶A̶c̶t̶u̶a̶l̶l̶y̶,̶ ̶a̶l̶m̶o̶s̶t̶ ̶e̶v̶e̶r̶y̶ ̶m̶a̶l̶e̶ ̶N̶P̶C̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶T̶h̶e̶ ̶P̶i̶t̶t̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶v̶o̶i̶c̶e̶d̶ ̶b̶y̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶g̶u̶y̶.̶ ̶urp brainfart Werhner is actually the same guy who voiced Moriarty.
Shivering Isles is the best dlc
The only thing that made Zeta worth doing was the TSC mod in my opinion.

epoxys were also sort of worth it

What, is too dangerous?
Having a bit of a problem. I recently installed Project Nevada + its DLC patches and after the character setup in Doc Mitchell's house, if I move a few steps or pick an item up, the game crashes.
Here's my load order:

Any help would be appreciated!

Try deactivating Purge Cell Buffers, and move the Equipment PN module to just below the Core.esm file. Also you don't need to tick the boxes on the DLC files, they load automatically without it, makes it easier to separate the DLC from the modfiles.
So it's been a couple of days now, what do you folks think about my stations so far?
I'm thinking of going into G.E.C.K experimenting on other things. I'm thinking my next target is a companion.

It does what intends to pretty well. I didn't find any real bugs. The choice of music is also a plus, very good artists.

I disagree about turning the DLCs off in FOMM. They tend to load in whenever the fuck they want to if you don't have them enabled, and while this works okay with an unmodded game, my experience shows that letting them choose their own load order will make them crashy heaps of shit more often than it doens't.
I keep my DLC checked in the order of release at all times. One less load order conflict to worry about.
how do I install Fallout new vegas 4GB?
I found the problem. It was a script I had called "New Vegas Stutter Remover". I deleted it and the game doesn't crash anymore.

Wait, does that make the game even more unstable?
No wonder I keep crashing.
