I always hated the emphasis that was placed on anarchy in the independent ending.
There's no single good reason why the Courier doesn't rule new vegas as House did.

Some people are born to wander, I guess.
I don't suppose the Legion conducts trials or anything before it crucifies people? And the NCR doesn't kidnap people to make them prisoners and conduct trade with them, their prisoners are people who broke the law within the NCR's territory.
the ncr doesn't really conduct trials either. they uphold martial law.

It turns out to be a good plan, as the Fiends raided only to satisfy their drug-induced munchies
the ncr doesn't really conduct trials either. they uphold martial law.
Are you sure that's not just in the Mojave, where they don't have the time to deal with stuff? The point still stands about the slave trade, though.

I don't think jet and psycho give you the munchies for anything besides fresh, screaming human flesh, though

I'd imagine Cook-Cook's pizzas having human flesh as a topping.
House butchers The Kings if they make peace with the squatters. He has to go.
Jeez you are impossible to please.
Like honestly, Mr. House isn't as evil as Legion and is 100x less incompetent than the NCR. In my eyes, he seems like the best choice, even if he is going to be an asshole dictator.
Mr. House could get way more done than the NCR but benevolent dictators aren't really a thing. His best quote that really sticks to me is " If you want to see the fate of democracies, look out the windows."
I still always pick his ending though. Even as a withered 200+ year old husk on a life support machine projecting a dated image of his youth on to a huge screen, he has a Charisma of 11.

I always thought of Independent as the Courier becoming a protector for the Mojave who tries to get the different groups to work together. If you could convince the Boomers to become an military force for protection along with the Securitrons, turn the Families and Kings into some loose government, convince the Khans to stick around and make chems for medicine, and allow the various villages/districts/casinos to maintain a degree of autonomy you could create a fairly stable confederacy at the least.
You don't rule, but you do become one of the most powerful and influential people in the Mojave after Hoover Dam, and before it really.

Just because a dictator may not be benevolent doesn't mean he might not at least be beneficial. At least Mr. House has the resources and know-how to at least try and pull humanity out of the gutter. People complain that he would just be a dictator and forget that revolutions exist for a reason.
Don't forget the best companion perk too, it helps a lot
Don't forget that he's also DANNY MOTHERFUCKIN' TREJO.
Say, has anything happened on the news front for Fallout recently? Or has it been as dead as the rest of gaming news recently?

Zenimax registered a copyright or trademark (I forget which) for Nuka-Cola, with intent to use it.

Nothing, but after that Hoax last winter, I suppose we COULD keep out eyes pinned to E3 for any sign.
So possibly Fallout 4 at E3 but maybe not, and possible Nuka-Cola tie-in soda but maybe not.
I'm game.

I'm not expecting it, but it's good to have our Perceptions to a full 10.
If they sold Nuka-Cola branded Coke, I'd be all over that shit in a heartbeat.
(I already collect the bottle caps from normal glass-bottled Coke)
That would be awesome yes.
It'd probably have a metallic taste to it. After all, isn't one of the symptoms of radiation poisoning some sort of metallic taste in the mouth? I recall hearing that from some old Chernobyl documentary many years ago.

That's horrifying and fascinating.
I'm playing through Fallout 3 again and am doing the quest involving The Family and uh...
Well, I am in Meresti and had just seen their group in the distance when...um...
They exploded. Just BOOM and they're all dead.
I'm scared
EDIT:Fucks sake, I was wrong! There's a survivor and they they're shooting at me! What did I do!?

No. Radiation Sickness develops in interval stages depending on dosage-over-time starting with nausia, diarhea, headaches, fevers, and finishing with CNS fuction failure (seizures, tremors, lethargy, et cet.)

How do I set a certain version of Fallout 3 to play?

If I update my mods, I'll have to let the people of this thread test em, since recent crashings have made me rage quit New Vegas again for a while, and I'm getting back into XCOM.
But yeah I'll do that.
Fucking Super-Muties.
I went to Black Mountain to go save Raul.
There is a patrol of dumb-ass super-muties.
I kill the entire patrol.
There is one last Super-Mutie.
I fight him.
I get him down to 2 bars so to save ammo I switch to fists(Just fists).
Once I exit out of my Pip-Boy, I am flung into the air and land in the blast pit in Black Mountain.
Fuck you Super-Muties.
Thinking about buying Fallout 3 GOTY, yet I do have the original, would it be better to just buy the DLC when its on sale or wait till both are on sale?
And yes, I am going to use the DLC and main game for TTW.
I used to have a whole jar of bottle caps from different kind of bottles after I was inspired by a cartoon when I was a kid, but I can't find it anymore :c
