Maybe they could get Id to do it or they could hire a team to do it. Its all a pipedream though.
Why not just get source and beef up some of the polishing needed to make it 'purdier'? Licensing fees aside; that'd probably be pretty amazing, honestly. But, I really like the idea of UE4 feeding the (probably) Bostonian Wasteland. [editline]28th April 2014[/editline]
uh......
What if that leaked script is true, but the male character is voiced by Ron Perlman? Anyone else think that'd be pretty awesome?

I just want Fallout 4 to have more voice actors than New Vegas and 3 combined.

But, you never know if they change it to a Mass Effect style type of dialogue, it might be kind of interesting.
I don't know how to feel about a seabound Fallout game. It would be kind of cool to have oil tankers and merchant ships refitted with weapons and have battles kind of like pirate fights though, I guess. [editline]27th April 2014[/editline] I mean, that kind of reminds me of Waterworld, come to think of it.
I probably wouldn't want Fallout: Wind Waker, but having a coast line with some air craft carriers, shipwrecks, islands, and oil rigs to explore would be neato.
uh......
So is this real, or..?
If Ron Pearlman isn't the narrator for a Fallout game it's a piece of shit. Seriously, the only Fallout Game without him is so terrible no one even acknowledges it's existence. You know the one.
Hopefully UE4 has excellent open world capabilities, since it would be piss fuck cheap for Bethesda to buy that $20 a month licensing deal and just port their assets to UE4.
Yeeeah that's not how it works. They get 5% gross revenue of the game sales. Not exactly "piss fuck cheap".
After flicking through my Tome of Forbidden Lore, I'd say Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. The shit one on Xbox.
uh......
Bullshit. If Perlman doesn't voice the intro, I will not buy it. Fuck, if Perlman doesn't voice the intro, it isn't even a Fallout game.
Since they do have water in them (a few, clean) you'd think they're still maintained and used. Maybe more frugally with the lack of water, but that's a bit of civilized life that's hard to shake off. As for keeping clean, they don't, have you seen their clothes and faces?
For me the scariest part of an apocalypse isn't the radiation, the violence, finding a place to sleep, or the cold... it's the lack of toilet paper.
Bullshit. If Perlman doesn't voice the intro, I will not buy it. Fuck, if Perlman doesn't voice the intro, it isn't even a Fallout game.
The community can petition Ron Perlman to voice-over whatever Fallout 4 intro they have and then it can be made into a mod. Bonus points for holding the Nexus staff at gunpoint until they make it the #1 mod on their site forever.

Seriously, why do you think it's worth as much as it is in the post-apocalyptic world? It sure as shit isn't because it's legal tender of the US Government.
the only Fallout Game without him is so terrible no one even acknowledges it's existence. You know the one.
...Macbeth?
Yeeeah that's not how it works. They get 5% gross revenue of the game sales. Not exactly "piss fuck cheap".
I've read that Gamebryo takes about 250,000 from you. Unreal takes 25%
uh......
Bethesda is going to be in deep shit with the fans now.
I don't see the huge deal about Perlman not voicing a Fallout Intro. Hell you're all not going to try out a game just because of ONE other game that bombed? Surely that time it was the Dev's fault and no one else. Seriously, that's the pettiest thing I've heard on this thread.
But Perlman is essential to Fallout games. Can you imagine someone else narrating but him?
But Perlman is essential to Fallout games. Can you imagine someone else narrating but him?
Tony Jay aka mother fucking Frolo was a competent voice actor. HELL, get Liam Neeson to voice the intro that would be boss. I suppose Perlman is a "part" of Fallout kinda, but I do not think that Fallout 4 will explode into tiny little pieces, if the team lost ONE voice actor. And not even an actor in the game itself, just the guy that voices the intro. Guys, I think we'll live :v:
brian blessed for fallout narrator 2014

He also sounded bored as shit in that game.
It just won't be the same.
We're going to be fine. I can understand the sentimentality, but to me fallout isn't just Ron Perlman. It's alot more than that. It's retro 50s, it's Post Apocalypse, it's a Husk of Americana, It's Jazz and Big Band 50s, it's THREE DAWG, It's factions that are interesting, mutants that are creepy, guns and armor that's awesome to find, And more important to me of all, a Solid RPG that isn't based in Fantasy Medieval Times.
No need to worry, guys. https://twitter.com/perlmutations/status/460961104361824256

GASP they would never do that and instead will probably ductape togather some leftover scraps from elder scrolls online's development, put some fancy textures on the previews and be done with it, at this point i wouldn't be supprised if they just recycled all the models and textures from fallout instead of updating them [editline]29th April 2014[/editline]
I probably wouldn't want Fallout: Wind Waker, but having a coast line with some air craft carriers, shipwrecks, islands, and oil rigs to explore would be neato.
its about damn time someone digs up an old steam locomotive and puts it to good use, i mean thermodynamics hasn't changed, if a bunch of tinkerer guys in the 1800s could figure it out, i think a bunch of future people with piles of textbooks, robot parts, fusion batteries,, fission reactors, and tons and tons of high grade steel could whip up a freeking steam boiler by now
bethesda has been historically hideous at VA casting. look at skyrim. they blew how many millions of dollars on voice actors and still managed to have one person per race/gender. how the fuck do you screw up that badly.
