Way I see it I have a checklist. [_] - Ron Pearlman doesn't voice the intro [_] - Made by Bethesda, not Obsidian If both are checked, FO4's a no-buy for me.
Its going to be made by Bethesda, Obsidian is pretty transparent about what titles they produce, they are a fairly small studio and I think they are already working on two full game projects, or at least were up until south park was released, it's highly unlikely they are making a giant "AAA" production like Fallout 4. With that said, hopefully there is some collaboration going on though.
bethesda has been historically hideous at VA casting. look at skyrim. they blew how many millions of dollars on voice actors and still managed to have one person per race/gender. how the fuck do you screw up that badly.
And they still fucking suck. I don't know which employee's children does the child VAs in Skyrim/FO3, but they should be goddamn ashamed.

They're currently making Pillars of Eternity, that free to play tank game, and they're planning a new kickstarter for another RPG.
Nearly finished this frank horrigan project, just gotta texture up that gun and then set up the scene for the final renders [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/O0X5Qh.jpg[/t] In the mean time though, just creating this header image for the scene ^

Nope, he has bare arms and chest. By enclosed it means the armor is fused/grafted around his skin, not that his entire body is covered.
Oh, gotcha [editline]29th April 2014[/editline] looks good yo
Might dump that on the nexus as a modders resource once Fallout 4 comes out On the other hand though... the sick shit people could do with it :tinfoil:

Actually it occurs to me I forgot to re-bake my displacement maps (theres some buggyness with the armpits) so I may as well just sculpt in veins and stuff while I'm at it
I thought his shoulders were waaaaaaay bigger?
I'm not making huge pauldrons, it's a design cliche Body is being built to the specs of an abnormally large super mutant, and armor is being built to fit onto the body of a large super mutant
Fair enough, it is a cliche, I was just wondering because I could have sworn his were huge in game, but I can't remember 100%
Actually hold on, it may just be the angle of the picture in the shot, his shoulder and bicept don't really face the camera Also I forgot to set the displacements/tessellation on the arms as renderable so they didn't show up :suicide: [editline]29th April 2014[/editline] Here we go [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/dTFMeC.jpg[/t] He is definitely a bet less mega-shoudlery than the F2 one, but not by much
Eh, I don't know, he doesn't look that threatening to me, i guess it's because of his eyes Maybe make them open wider ?
It's likely the transparent look.
I want a Fallout game set in the United Kingdom, but sort of off in it's own retconny-bubble where the Resource Wars didn't happen and the UK got to develop its own crazy retro-future tech before the nukes started flying. And instead of 50s Americana, I want 70s-80s Punk Rock and Thatcherism. I want 1984 meets Day of the Triffids meets War of the Worlds. I want the Cyber-Queen and her legion of BobbyBots. I want Football Tribes and Radgers. I want to hack Amstrads and explore the flooded ruins of Norfolk. Basically, I want a post-apocalyptic UK that's as bonkers as Fallout's America.
It's likely the transparent look.
Can change the material for that and adjust the eyes, it's probably just the general composition and lighting that needs work Need to strike a balance between actually showing off the model but also setting up atmospheric mood 9 times out of 10 is something is not reading as intimidating it's probably the lighting, you could make mr. rogers look scary if you put him in the right lighting and pose

I see why you did it, but seeing the eyes makes him too sympathetic. Part of his intimidation factor was that you couldn't see any of his face.
Also gotta remember that Horrigan is like a giant. He might not look as intimidating in that picture simply because there isn't a sense of just how massive he is
WAR! WAR NEVER CHANGES!
Cue Gottfried starts talking about how he runs a talentshow in the wasteland where he regularly fucks his mother while she is sucking the dick of a ghoul that has downs, but hasn't turned feral yet. Then this ghoul runs his half-boney, half-fleshy finger in the ass of his mother. Then there's a restrained deathclaw he and the downs-ghoul cum onto while gottfrieds mother start licking the deathclaw's asshole. This goes for a while, as they are all high on jet and med-x, so they keep fucking, cumming, ass-fingering and licking for a few hours until the crowd starts asking what the fuck is this shit? Gottfried answers "The Aristocrats"
But Perlman is essential to Fallout games. Can you imagine someone else narrating but him?
What if it was James Earl Jones or Morgan Freeman narrating?
If it's true that Ron Perlman isn't gonna be part of Fallout 4 they should replace his opening/ending monologues with this
Morgan Freeman I could probably get behind.
What if it was James Earl Jones or Morgan Freeman narrating?
I think that replacing Perlman with a voice actor of equal or greater calibre would be forgiveable.
Get David Hayter so I can make a video about Fallout and MGS4 contradicting each other and have it sound authentic at the same time.
