I want nicer faces of course, but how about bodies that match your STR stat in looks? 1 would be malnourished and bony, 5 would be average and decently fit and 10 would be Lou Ferrigno-Hulk status.

Not all of us like staring at roided out freaks of nature, and locking all the good guns away behind that would be pretty damn mean on Bethesda's part. 'Tis why I didn't play a male in Skyrim. Well, a large part of why anyway, I didn't go looking for a more sensible body replacer until I was nearly done with the game(Did find one though). And it's definitely why I've never played a male in Fallout.
It would be pretty cool to see STR be attached to muscularity and bulkiness, and END to be attached to the players height. Also if the same thing applied to NPCs, shit would be sweet. Body size could actually indicate the melee/unarmed capabilities of your opponent.
Uhh, how about no?
Lou Ferringo was an over-exaggeration, but just a large stature and significantly above average muscularity would be perfectly fine. Likewise if you're playing a stealthy character or something who doesn't need a tonne of strength and endurance being smaller and looking better suited to sneaking would be pretty sweet. [editline]13th May 2014[/editline] And of course if you went 1 endurance and 10 strength you could play in Manlet mode which would be fucking fantstic
I guess I'm the only person in the world who thinks tying all the good, powerful weapons in the game to overly muscley brutish appearances is a bad idea...
weapon handling perk is still a thing
I'm going to agree with TestECull and say that height and weight/bulk should be put on seperate sliders and not be tied to attributes. If I want to play as an scraggly old man with the strength of a thousand elephants then let me. [editline]13th May 2014[/editline]
I guess I'm the only person in the world who thinks tying all the good, powerful weapons in the game to overly muscley brutish appearances is a bad idea...
It does make sense though. Someone who is malnourished and weak would have a harder time firing an extremely heavy minigun from the hip and still be able to stabilize it than a roid-freak.
They're modified where appropriate, though. Things that reference skills that changed/disappeaered/were added in NV, DR, etc were changed. And there's an optional patch that fucks with the bobbleheads though I don't run it. And a godsend when you put the perk rate back at one per level where it belongs. Uuh, no. Skill books are still stupidly rare. 95% of them were changed to magazines instead, which often negates a lot of the value of looting certain locations where a skill book was the main prize.
You know, I love TTW, but I kind of just dislike some of their design choices. Sometimes I really just wish there was a 'purist' option for TTW that kept virtually everything in the Capital Wasteland the same as it is in Fallout 3 except in very specific situations. I like that there is the inclusion of campfires, reloading benches, merchant inventory expansions, and New Vegas weaponry in NPC hands within the Capital Wasteland. However, I dislike that they swapped around some weapon values (sometimes it's changing ammunition, sometimes it's damage) , made skill books incredibly rare and replaced them with virtually worthless skill magazines, and got rid of an entire ammunition class. I really miss the .32 hunting rifles because they were an almost integral tool in the progression of the game, since the ammo was much more common than other weapons at that point. Replacing it with the .308 version in every situation can give normally simple opponents the capability to bulldoze a low level character. And things like Raider weapons were changed so drastically, they don't ever seem to be equipped with better weapons like they're normally supposed to be when the player is higher leveled. Instead, they're stuck with mostly crap weapons like single-shotguns, caravan shotguns, .357 revolvers, and a few of the other low-end pistols. I hope somebody can create a mod that remedies some of these changes. My other dislike is the way they use the transcontinental railroad to Fallout 3's story with New Vegas'. I think there might even be a time skip in there. Some might say it's a little more immersive that way, but honestly, I just liked the primitive approach of the modification when it was known as Requiem for the Capital Wasteland. Back then, it was just a sewer manhole to the Capital Wasteland, or Mojave. No other gimmicks.
Appearance should have no bearing on stats or gameplay. Some weapons should have reduced accuracies at lower strengths so that STR isn't used as a dump stat.
weapon handling perk is still a thing
I'm fine with needing high STR to handle that anti-materiel rifle. What I don't want is to have no choice but to look like a bodybuilder in order to use that AMR because a visual stat and a gameplay stat were tied together. They need to be seperate, those of us who want to look like that can those of us who don't won't and we'll all be quite happy.
The solution is to have more than one body model for each gender. I want to be a big ol' fat guy.
Well, maybe no Lou Ferrigno, how about more Big Boss from MGS3? He was buff, but not ridiculous and was stealthy.
I want APB's character generation. Except with wider clamp values on the sliders (APB did have the problem of not being aware breast sizes under C existed, for instance)

currently browsing through the nexus for fonv, looking for cool shit, but only finding terrible cancer anybody have any lore friendly mods to reccommend for fonv? thinking along the lines of immersive armor/immersive weapons for skyrim and such also, anything that would fit in the immersion category, if the fonv nexus was anything like skyrim nexus
snipe-
Getting FO1 on android to work has so far been a huge bitch. I got the DOS functionality restored, bought DosBox Turbo, and am now installing it. I had it working on Dosbox for windows, but after a bad attempt at getting Fixt to work, i reinstalled FO1 and it doesn't work now. Fixed it, had to change art_cache to 5.

I forgot they used Mickey Rourke to model an NPC.

I for one welcome our new Fox overlords.
That is pretty not good. Now, people will use that body with rape mods.
I'm going to install TTW soon, what should I expect? Any mods I should use to enhance my post apocalyptic loot simulator?

Got FO1 to work on Android now with DosBox Turbo. It's slow as shit, the ambient music and video sounds are nonfunctional, and it's slow as shit. I even OC'd my Nexus 7 and it's still slow as molasses in the arctic. But it works, and that's enough. I wish the QEMU version worked, because that works with FO2 as well, and is faster, but i can't get it to work.
I'm going to install TTW soon, what should I expect? If you take the one that makes you level up slower, I recommend a mod that gives you a perk every level as well.
