Personally I often cheat and just pretend my character either blew out the door control (combat oriented) or used a well-known loophole/bypass for terminals in order to get in and then I just use the unlock command, because fuck that noise. Kind of breaks immersion for a little bit when the Outcasts are like "gluhuh you still need to play sim" but fuck 'em, they called me a tribal.
What? There aren't tribals in D.C., are there? Considering their history, most Outcasts have never seen a tribal. Anyway, I'm not sure I get tribals all that much. Surely without technology some societies would become more agrarian, but why would nosebones and shamans and elders and snorting xander root suddenly become so popular?
Some guy made a mod for TTW that allows you to just bypass Operation Anchorage entirely if you have like 10 Intelligence and 80 science, meaning you can complete the quest and reach the storage room without ever having to actually do the missions.
Link?

To them, most inhabitants of the Wasteland are tribals, unless you're specifically associated with something like the NCR or something, I think. As ClarkWasHere noted though, in FO3 they call you "local" in the same derogatory fashion.
I felt like Operation Anchorage could had been alot more badass/cooler.
I felt like Operation Anchorage could had been alot more badass/cooler.
If it was done on any other engine and by any other dev team, yeah sure. I mean operation anchorage done by DICE on frostbite then it would have been the most kickass thing ever.
I kinda liked Anchorage, might be rose-tinted glasses though since I haven't played it in a while and that was when I still was big into linear shooters on the Xbox.
OA was the first DLC I ever did because I stumbled into it by accident and thought it was just another FO3 side-quest. I remember getting to one part and thinking that it was finally going to end, when it turned out that I had to go into the second chapter of the DLC, and I just groaned.
I loved Anchorage the first time I played it, but every other time after that it felt like the most boring, mundane thing I've ever played.
One of the best parts of Point Lookout was that you could go home halfway through.
What to install: New Vegas or 3? And which mods should i use? Oh yeah, also i don't have DLC on NV
What to install: New Vegas or 3? And which mods should i use? Oh yeah, also i don't have DLC on NV
Why not both?
Why not both?
Idk if my notebook can't handle both but ok, going to give a try. Which mods should i try?
Idk if my notebook can't handle both but ok
What's your model of laptop?
I think that's just the nature of Fallout's over-the-top mentality.
Or it's like how Rome/Greece considered non-Roman/Greek societies barbaric. Probably just how the main groups look down on the lesser groups in the Fallout Verse.
Or it's like how Rome/Greece considered non-Roman/Greek societies barbaric. Probably just how the main groups look down on the lesser groups in the Fallout Verse.
A healthy dose of good ol' fashioned xenophobia and/or elitism.
What's your model of laptop?
Vostro 3500. I mean can't handle in terms of memory because is starting to be a bitch about it
Vostro 3500. I mean can't handle in terms of memory because is starting to be a bitch about it
I recommend cleaning up and installing Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Tale of Two Wastelands is great and your laptop is okay.
I recommend cleaning up and installing Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Tale of Two Wastelands is great and your laptop is okay.
Don't you need all story DLC's for both games to have TTW work?
Don't you need all story DLC's for both games to have TTW work?
Aren't the GOTY/Ultimate editions pretty much standard and therefore come with all the DLC already? I don't mean to seem like an ass by bringing it up.
So would you guys recommend TTW just as a way to play Fallout 3 except less clunky and with a greater weapon variety?
So would you guys recommend TTW just as a way to play Fallout 3 except less clunky and with a greater weapon variety?
yep also, ironsights!
yep also, ironsights!
I'm surprised people even bother mentioning iron sights with some sort of praise. They're really bad by default, and even if there was a fix for their inaccuracies, I'd much rather just use a crosshair over the intrusive sight that isn't at all representative of where my shot will go.
Some people have different preferences

I would be playing TTW right now, but my compass is still borked up.
I wish you didn't need all dlc to play TTW. I don't really want the fallout 3 dlc(I also can't get it through steam, without buying the full game again)
Well, what about mods that DOESN'T require any DLCs? I don't have any DLC for NV and 3 has everything
