Now it begins the hard part: keep ED-E or take Raul? I love this game, also i fucking loved how the difficult on hard went almost insane, it's so cool
You can have a humanoid companion and non humanoid. Also, download infinite companions and see if you can bring all 8 with you without crashing.
IIRC there was a mod on the nexus that fixed that, by replacing one of the shaderpackage files.

There we go.
That fix doesn't really work. The weapon transparency comes back when you aim down the sights. It literally doesn't work at the time it is most noticeable.
What are some good mods that fix the wonky inaccuracy of the reticle in third person? Specifically for New Vegas, as well as any good optimization or performance enhancement mods?

I use a modifed Blackout ENB because I can use anti-aliasing and night vision, but could I switch the ENB config and color palette in the files to something else?

I went to MCM Comic Con on Saturday and picked up a Strength Bobblehead when I was there. I'm up to 3 STR now.
I love this little thing so much, I can't stop bobbling it when things are loading. It's so neat for such a little thing.

i love mine too, it's really nice
okay I found the previous mods I was asking for by actually looking for them but I really can't find what I'm looking for now:
what's a mod that removes the skill requirement for important survival craft items such as Stimpaks/Doctor's Bags? I'm playing on a very hardcore mode so just finding the parts at all should be good enough, let alone waiting until a 75 Science skill. I know something like this does exist I just forget what it's called.

My bobblehead was sadly found by my dog. I still have the lunchbox though, I shove any caps I find into it.

Edit the requirement in the GECK.

No offense, but I hope for your dog's sake that was the Collector's Edition bobblehead (made of plastic) and not one of the new ones. The new ones are made of a lightweight plastic-like resin (similar to Warhammer Finecast, hence the insane price) and Resin is incredibly carcinogenic when ingested.

It was the Collector's.
I have a love/hate relationship with A World of Pain right now.
The balance is absolutely abysmal, on par with a 13-year-old's first attempts at difficulty. (give guns an M at the end and ramp their damage up! brilliant!)
But a lot of environments are so well-done and inspired that I don't know what to think

When I read this I was very confused because I thought you meant near your dog, as though it had died and took your bobblehead with it.

Get the low loot patches that remove the M shit
Get the low loot patches that remove the M shit
It still has the M weapons just removes all the overpowered shit
Honestly, on Very Hard NPC's with shit that beats out your DT is horrible enough, but giving them a lot more base damage to go with that is heinous.

It's not their existence in loot and stuff, it's them being used by enemies that pisses me off. Just as loot, I can choose not to use them, but in the hands of enemies I have no choice.
Is there a mod that solely adds darker nights? I want a reason to use night vision.

It could just be me, but it is kind of a thrill to eventually kill the guy who keeps one shot killing you and lo and behold you now have an M weapon that you are underskilled to use because you stumbled upon them at level 3. By the same token it sucks at low levels to backtrack somewhere and out of nowhere a high level AWOP encounter just winks into existence and one shots you.
I loved playing FO3 with MMM on high spawns on Very Hard because it didn't make NPCs overpowered or anything, it just increased the volume of them, which made the difficulty somewhat balanced as it required you to get clever about encounters rather than just throwing all your expensive ammo.

This seems to fit the bill, Fellout does it too but it also removes the orange tinge of the game.
Fellout for NV is a piece of shit in terms of night brightness. It makes the Strip literally impenetrably black when it should be just lit in a dull gloom.

I liked dungeon combat like that in 3. There's all these mines and hallways and gas leaks and explosives around and the map is designed for interesting combat and exploration, along with some neat solutions to tough enemies.
Unfortunately there are lots of things that need to be done outside D.C., above ground. I end up getting surrounded by squads of Talon Company and Super Mutants and such and it's always in the middle of those grey/green hills with some jagged rocks in there. It's just a boring map and the random encounters make all the combat have this samey feel to it. I think it's kind of bad that they only set perhaps a quarter of the game in the best part.

Fallout 3 is a great chaotic urban combat experience, especially with mods. It's just a shame that it doesn't have that level of quality and fun throughout, and it's basically wrapped up in shit when you take stock of the main plot. It's still good, but it isn't the game it could have been.
Like, the quest where you have to trek through the hospital, over the collapsed radio tower, and into the Statesman Hotel to free the Rangers. That quest was fucking awesome.
I've never seen this Statesman quest, but I've heard of it a few times on here. Where do I start it?

Just go to Vernon Square and you'll get the ranger radio beacon.

Or go to Underworld and talk to Riley, actually. Forgot about that, mainly because fuck Underworld. Literally the worst settlement in the game, and not even because it's a ghoul town; because it's so shittily designed.
