And how would that be?
Dump everything on melee and speech
I'm about to start playing New Vegas for the first time. Any tips?
Depends if you care about story or not. Is a really big question, these games can play radically different if you just wanna yolo-swag shit everywhere. I'd suggest small-arms, as most guns are that. Speech as that is highly used, and another skill of your choosing. I like 10 in Intelligence so I can max out skills like Speech for quests. There isn't too much to say, the games are fairly friendly and understandable. The tutorial does an okay job of explaining things. Just make sure to be careful, scope out things and if you see something like a Deathclaw, just run. You cannot fight that unless you really are ready. Silenced Snipers or whatever have you are amazing by the way. Unless you use modifications, gun mods are stuck on a gun for good. Make sure you really want it.
So, just a small bit of an update. I have a few guns in progress I want to fix some really big visual errors on, before showing them off. But I have a special gun to show to make up for that. Its a unique version of the Service Rifle. The idea behind it is that its the rifle that belonged to a NCR Private for a good length of time. Its been through a lot of battles, its rusted at parts and covered in scratches. The furnishing is damaged/worn, (wood splits not shown yet) and the gun bears personal customization such as the classic military shark face typically used on planes, the NCR star painted on the stock, and a scratched in kill count (not on the gun yet). The reason why it has a small gastank is that I was thinking the gun was used in a violent last-stand sort of situation. The soldiers had to make due and this private thought the best way to kill the legion was by dousing them in incendiary bullets. [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/9zgkE/d5f9324201.jpg[/img_thumb] Anyone who wishes it wasn't as damaged or worn, you're in luck. As I plan on making one of it's modifications the ability to clean it up with new furnishing and paint. I really hope you guys enjoy this. I been quiet for a few months so I thought I'd show whats up.
How long did it take to make that weapon? Also, great work!
How long did it take to make that weapon? Also, great work!
Extra bonus because I love you guys, haha. I am redoing the wood right now but its a lot more up to date. I think the damage is a bit too goofy so I am redoing it on the wood. [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/9zkiH/db9ab5aaa8.jpg[/img_thumb] It took me a few hours while chatting and working on it. It was a service rifle with some bits from the flamer (front gas tank and hose) and hunting rifle (wires and wraps). Its not the most complex gun I've done. Despite having a lot of work put into it. I'd say my other ones take longer cause I need to redo parts or plan things out. Thank you though, I appreciate it.
I'm about to start playing New Vegas for the first time. Any tips?
I'm just going to assume you haven't played any Fallouts before, if you have a lot of this will be pretty obvious. - Intelligence is pretty over powered, it determines how many skill points you get every time you level up, easily outstripping the bonuses you get from other attributes. - Energy weapons are cool and flashy, but they're also fairly rare at the start of the game, making ammo quite hard to find. Later on though they become abundant and powerful. - Guns are versatile, cover a broad spectrum of uses, and have plentiful ammo, though later on you'll probably want to use specialised ammo for armoured or unarmoured enemies. - Follow the main quest. It may be tempting to head straight to Vegas, but unless you know the safe routes you'll be in for a world of hurt. Deathclaws will be the least of your problems. - In a game where the majority of your enemies use all manner of ranged attacks you'd be surprised at how effective punchin' shit is. - If you wear the armour of a specific faction you'll be disguised as a member of that faction. Useful for going into an area of the guys you piss off, not so useful when a group that normally likes you think you're one of their enemies.
Has anyone found the unarmed weapon Love and Hate in NV? I think they have 91 dps. I found them on a viper leader in a ruined town just north of the Makeshift Great Khan camp. They look sweet too.

If you have the Pyromaniac perk it's one of the most powerful weapons in the game, I managed to blast through the Sloan deathclaws with ease. I'm at that stage again where I have an inventory full of guns I don't use but can't bring myself to sell in case the ones I do run out of ammo
I'm at that stage again where I have an inventory full of guns I don't use but can't bring myself to sell in case the ones I do run out of ammo
I end up keeping a variety of guns for multiple occasions, like a varmint rifle for ants and ghouls and other pests, a Fat Man for ungodly-tough enemies, and usually two or three ranged guns and an energy weapon or two.
I'm at that stage again where I have an inventory full of guns I don't use but can't bring myself to sell in case the ones I do run out of ammo
Playing Fallout 2, and I'm having the opposite problem. I have an inventory full of guns I don't use that I can't sell, because the merchants selling them have; 1.Not enough caps for one of them. 2.Not enough useful supplies to make up for the slack. 3.I can only trade guns and ammo for other guns and ammo. even my party members are dragging along grocery carts full of way too many guns at this point. Anyone know any good merchants for caps or medical supplies?

Second, the best merchants for selling off expensive guns would be in San Francisco. You're gonna have to find that out for yourself if you want to know where SF is.
I've just bought That Gun at level 8, is that good?
y'all chronic hoarders should do what I did and limit yourself to two one handed weapons, one two handed gun, a small melee/unarmed weapon for backup, 20 stimpaks and a set of light armor of your choice (I went with butch's leather jacket - that was in fallout 3, but I did a similar run in nv as well) obviously cause of rpg hoarder syndrome I still picked up guns and stuff to sell but limited myself to either not using them or only using them in the combat encounter I was in and ditching them afterwards goes a long way to make you think about what you take with you, and you get more room for shit you can sell later! it's a win/win
At a certain level most of the enemy guns are regular assault rifles. Super mutants eat 5.56mm bullets as though they were sunflower seeds and looting random junk to sell to the Outcasts isn't cutting it. So I bring in a bunch of other guns because I don't have enough ammo for just one other gun, and I need to repair some of the guns too. The one time I did Mothership Zeta, my Buffout wore off during the spacewalk.

HYPE http://www.kdramastars.com/articles/25754/20140620/fallout-4-release-date.htm
That's fake and also old. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who is in no rush for Fallout 4. :v:
HYPE http://www.kdramastars.com/articles/25754/20140620/fallout-4-release-date.htm
does not seem legit
HYPE http://www.kdramastars.com/articles/25754/20140620/fallout-4-release-date.htm
Bethesda actually listening to criticism and not trying to make it like Skyrim or fuck up the lore. Yeah Bethesda isn't that good.
Just bought New Vegas. I played it for a few days at a friend's house last year, so I'm looking for some essential mods that integrate well into the game. I'm starting with Afterschool Special, what else should I get?
website about korean soap operas suddenly makes article about fallout 4 release date sounds good to me
Not to mention, a cyberpunk fallout?

I absolutely loved Nevada Skies, but unfortunately it ran my FPS into the ground - I think. Honestly, it might've been that whole suite of mods I installed a while back when someone had those great pictures (I forget the username) but I just can't deal with the slowness. Maybe when I get a better computer...
What's the best DLC for a Madness Combat run? [editline]21st June 2014[/editline] For New Vegas
probably lonesome road, there's only one thing in there that doesn't try to kill you
I mean clothes wise. I need cool clothes too ya know. [editline]21st June 2014[/editline] Fuck it I've already bought Honest Hearts.
Can somebody help me out here with Fallout 2/New Vegas plot stuff? [SP]I want to play Fallout 2 to the canon, and I am extremely confused on what the fate of Vault City is. Vault City is listed on the Fallout wiki as being state of the NCR. However, on the FO2 endings page, it is listed that Vault City staying independent is implied to be canon. The reason for that is that Roger Westin III is listed on the Boulder City memorial. Now, Roger Westin is a politician of the NCR in Fallout 2, and if he lives, he marries Lynette, and Vault City stays independent. If he dies, VC becomes part of the NCR. So, it's implied that he married Lynette, thus making VC independent, and they would then have children, which is where the aforementioned Roger Westin III came from. So there's that. To the contrary, the only evidence I have to go on that Vault City is a state of the NCR, having not played Fallout New Vegas in about a year, is that it is listed as a state of the NCR on the Fallout Wiki. Could someone who's played it recently let me know the deal?[/sp]

Not really an option to hold out against a huge entity like NCR when your city is still small.[/sp]
