"Well, there's many things they have forgotten, sitting in their bowls. Friendship. The thrill of discovery. Love. Masturbation. The usual."
Yep, yes, I definitely remember this. Let me tell you the story about a lady I met in the Den; I was at Mom's, a restaurant, and found a sad woman. When I spoke to her, she told a story about how she once had a kitten, a rare thing in the wasteland. As food supplies ran out, her mother eventually hunted down and killed her cat, and ate it. I felt bad for her, and when I was shopping later, I noticed, you guessed it; A Cat's Paw magazine. I thought, oh, hey, that's about kitties! I'm gonna go give this to her! I ran back, and there was no dialogue option for that. I was confused, so I looked it up on the wiki. I bought her a PORNO MAG MNNGH [editline]e[/editline] I still keep it in my inventory, kind of as a 'you are a fucking idiot' memento/trophy
There should have been dialogue for that.
I'm thinking of possibly creating a mod that makes it so when an enemy drops below 5% health, they are knocked unconscious. I think it's a little bit odd in Fallout that there's not really a buffer between a combat-ready NPC and a dead NPC.

Do you think that might cause some issues though? Would it conflict with fatigue damage? [editline]29th June 2014[/editline] Also I remember a few people here pining over the spas-12. I'm actually in the planning stage of adding one to my gun mod, its far simpler than I thought it would be. As really its back-half is a standard styled shotgun receiver, its really the front that is unique and isn't too hard to replicate. I cannot promise if the plan will come through, but its a big possibility. Here, I haven't been showing much around here, so have a work in progress. It was quickly done to just see if I could make anything similar to the gun. Don't take the quality to heart, because if I do an actual one for ingame, it will look a lot better. This mod is a learning exercise for me though, I must admit. I know there is some glaring errors with its design, but as I said. It was just something quick I did to say to myself "Do I have enough skill to make this good enough for people?". I think I'm getting on the right track though to that. in the next fo game, i really want there to be crumbling skyscraper enviroments that really hasn't been explored in the 3d fo games
Looks like the bastard child of like 4 different shotguns [editline]29th June 2014[/editline] Which is fantastic because that is essentially Fallout's style :v:
Actually you're technically right. The back is the Riot Shotgun's. The front is a combination of the Riot Shotgun's barrel, with my ghetto Spas-12 forearm and pump. As I said, it was really a quick test mock up. A real attempt will look a lot less janky.
in the next fo game, i really want there to be crumbling skyscraper enviroments that really hasn't been explored in the 3d fo games
A Fallout game in New York or Seattle would be neat like that.
A Fallout game in New York or Seattle would be neat like that.
New York should be pretty much completely destroyed in the lore.
If there's stuff people would like to see weapon wise I wouldn't mind having a crack at modelling a none-stylised gun or two for once, someone else would have to texture it though fuck that
New York should be pretty much completely destroyed in the lore.
Washington DC should be too, yet there's plenty left standing. Not so much that you can easily navigate the streets, but... yeah. Plenty of recognizable stuff.
Maybe the Boneyard or SF in 3D?
How about some place like Alaska?
Where are you going to find crumbling skyscrapers in Alaska?
I really wanna make the radscorpion stinger fist from Nuka Break. What tools do I need?
Released an M16A2 as well: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/56255/? [t]http://static-2.nexusmods.com/15/mods/130/images/56255-1-1404097660.jpg[/t]
Amazing, as always Mil. Any word on the weapon retexure project?
Nah, I kinda stopped on that one, been focusing on standalone weapons for using in other projects/future games like Fallout 4 (when it actually gets announced) :v:
Washington DC should be too, yet there's plenty left standing. Not so much that you can easily navigate the streets, but... yeah. Plenty of recognizable stuff.
Yeah this is why I dislike Fallout 3 so much.
Where are you going to find crumbling skyscrapers in Alaska?
There's skyscrapers in the skybox at some points during Operation Anchorage. But then again it's canon that the Anchorage sim is a horribly inaccurate retelling of what actually occurred.
Yeah this is why I dislike Fallout 3 so much.
But if everything in DC was leveled, it wouldn't make for a very interesting experience. Fallout isn't always about realism, which is why there are things like brains in tanks and rayguns and giant green mutants and whatever else. Besides, I'm not sure how destructive the bombs would actually be. Yes, I know they're nukes, and probably of a much larger yield (and in far greater numbers) than the ones whose effects we have real-world reference for, but the real damage in Hiroshima and Nagasaki came from the fires that spread immediately after. If you've got a city made of brick and concrete and steel, it's not going to suffer quite the same as a city made of wood and paper. Over time, the buildings will certainly deteriorate, but I don't think that the entire city would be flattened.
But the bombs we used in Japan were atomic, not hydrogen(Assuming the world was destroyed with hydrogen bombs, not atomic).
Is there a difference in what kind of effects they have? The Wikipedia page on H-bombs doesn't say much about different effects.
But if everything in DC was leveled, it wouldn't make for a very interesting experience.
I've got a solution for this. Don't set a Fallout game in DC
I'm going to try and speedrun NV, I deactivated all my mods to speed up load times and try to prevent crashes but in game my pip-boy is invisible. Anyone know a fix? I had the pip-boy 2500 mod installed as well. nevermind this, wasn't un installing the pipboy mod correctly.
I've got a solution for this. Don't set a Fallout game in DC
Bethesda set the game in DC because that was the cheapest way to reference from to create an american city in a game. Because Bethesda Game Studios is in DC lol
found a way to make new vegas interesting to me again after hundreds of hours literally murder everything in my path, starting special points 10 strength, 5 perception, 10 endurance, 1 charisma, 1 intelligence, 10 agility, 3 luck. maxing out melee weapons and sneak. gone through goodsprings, primm, and just finished with mojave outpost. no survivors. think i'm gonna align with caesars legion as i dunno if i ever played all the way through that one yet.
The next fallout should be Detroit. All they have to do is build a replica of the modern city and add laser guns.
