I decided to make a PnP sheet thing as a project. Here's what I have so far, utter shit at the moment.
Reminds me of the damage calculator I coded that I am obscenely proud of despite the fact that it's actually painfully simple and I used an awful workaround because I had no idea what I was doing. [t]http://i.imgur.com/3OcEsau.png[/t] Super helpful for quick and easy damage calculating on the PnP.
Maybe when I'm done with it we could make like a pack of useful PnP things.
Maybe when I'm done with it we could make like a pack of useful PnP things.
Could totally throw it in a pack with the currently work-in-progress .pdf M.Ciaster is making with all of our new Fallout PnP content (that we're fixing the shit out of since his originals were broken as hell) when it's done. I streamlined and made generally less shit a lot of his new mechanics, so they're less clumsy but still workable.
Maybe it's just me and the PNP I've been exposed to, but all that seems a tad excessive. Not to disparage what you've done, by any means - you had a need and you filled it creatively. It's just that in my (admittedly, very limited) PNP experience, all that kind of stuff can be handled by what are basically Excel sheets.
I really miss the high end small guns to be honest. The top tier guns in New Vegas for instance are basically M4s and weirdo fictional .50 AE smgs that sort of suck shit anyways. It'd be nice to get cutting edge future-esque armor piercing weaponry like G11s, Bozars, P90s, etc. Weapons that the brotherhood and enclave would be proud to wield alongside high tech energy weapons. I feel like a weirdo walking around in power armor but using a brush gun.
That's why I always side-spec in explosives. So I have some nice Full auto grenade launchers to go with my lovely, gib soaked power armor. (In addition to the usual AMR, Minigun, Dinner Bell and Sawed off w/ slugs for a bootleg pistol/extra shotgun)

Imagine deciding what to do, calculating AP to see if you can do that, then rolling for hitchance, then damage, then applying any damage modifiers, then comparing that damage to the armor by taking the DR% off the damage and then subtracting the DT further from the damage to realize you have done ~3dmg. It just makes stuff easier for the GM and faster for the players.
yep honestly I don't really like the DR/DT system - it's good but a tad too complicated and tedious for a PnP game well, it isn't now 'cause of Dan's insanely nifty damage calculator, but it used to be an absolute bitch (just ask Potato)

It's simple math.
I was looking for a good head bob mod for New Vegas. I found the py Depth of Field mod that adds head bob but its too subtle for me. The "Head Bob NV" is perfect but it's removed from the nexus. Anyone know where I can download this mod elsewhere? http://www.nexusmods...as/mods/55781/?

I prefer this because it adds headbob and incredible immersion for everything. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55334/?

[t]http://i.imgur.com/3favbbt.png[/t] That's all the traits in PnP right? [t]http://i.imgur.com/aeQ4rQf.png[/t] You can add more than one now. Neat.
How does PnP play out?
What's PnP?
Pen and Paper. It's like Dungeons and Dragons for Fallout.
I have a very hard time playing for a long time without using cheats. It's skills like lockpick and science that I really hate. You can't attempt to hack or unlock anything unless you have a certain level. You should still be able to attempt it, even if it is hard. Just make it harder, not completely off limits like it is now. So you spend all your points in these skills so you can actually open and access things in the game. But that makes you waste so much time and points on those skills. And because you did that, you probably are bad at skills to do with combat. Which brings me to this: Why is it that my skill in weapons determines how many shots to the head someone can take? And what is the point of even crippling someone's head if they're only going to maybe be blind for one second or two? Is it so that when I do the final shot, their head explodes? When you cripple their legs, it has a lasting effect. Why not the same with the head?

What are the best levels to do the DLCs in New Vegas?
What are the best levels to do the DLCs in New Vegas?
maxed out of course
[t]http://i.imgur.com/3ksEe4W.png[/t] You would not believe how long it took to make this look good, like 25 minutes because there was a single overhanging letter, or there was a weird space for no reason, but I'm glad it's fucking done.

At a cursory glance I don't recognize a few of the perk names from the book we use. Then again I never really browsed it extensively, but still.
Whatever is on the list from the Fallout PNP wiki is on there, if you guys gave me a link to your rulebook I'd change it.
Whatever is on the list from the Fallout PNP wiki is on there, if you guys gave me a link to your rulebook I'd change it.
Please tell me this isn't the wiki you're using, because browsing through that tells me that everything in it is fucking awfully balanced and shit in pretty much every possible way.
New Vegas was fun. I remember 2 years ago playing Dead Money, and as soon as I went into the vault I threw away all my clothing, weapons and items and replaced them with 300 pounds worth of gold ingots. Imagine seeing a man wearing nothing but his underwear carrying a shitload of gold ingots jumping in the air while trying to kill you with brass knuckles :v:
The hard part is letting your clothes go.
What are the best levels to do the DLCs in New Vegas?
minimum for big MT is 10 i believe, the other ones aren't really a problem except siera madre, do that one when you're maxed out or high up else you'll just be mashing f5 every few seconds, plus it requires a lot of skill checks to survive most of the encounters

[editline]fuck[/editline] Oh wait, those aren't perks, they're traits. God damnit. [editline]again[/editline] There's actually more and very few are the same. FUCK [editline]4th July 2014[/editline] [t]http://i.imgur.com/oLc7XQZ.png[/t] It was a pain in the ass, but there's all of them.
