Fuck thats a nice ENB
Holy shit... that second one almost looks real.
Don't ask me for the ENB though, last time didn't end up well.
Why?
Just finished Fallout 1 again and got the good ending, i didn't remember much so I expected the [sp]overseer to kill me as a pre-caution[/sp] Have an amazing death animation.
This was the original death animation for super mutants but it was cut since the game took 40 hours to finish.
Why?
It was so bad it ended in the LMAO Pics thread and got lots of Funnies :(
It was so bad it ended in the LMAO Pics thread and got lots of Funnies :(
Ok wait, why why would an outstanding ENB like that one be funny enough be posted on lmao What is the larger story here :v:

I gave someone my ENB and it looked like this: I tried to fix it and I never managed to do it. Never again.
That still looks kinda cool, kinda like an old 50s movie.
My mind went to Jet-rush, but we'll go with old 50s movie, too.

Never again.
If you don't succeed at first, try, try, again.
My mind went to the radiation burning the character's retinas but old 50s movie works.
I like to think that he was wearing some weird fucking bandolier made of hand grenades and that shot somehow activated them all in sequence.
Lou is some sort of cybernetic super mutant so I guess you could just attribute it to life support systems blowing up
Who here is substantially versed in Fallout lore and also is a decent writer?
Who here is substantially versed in Fallout lore and also is a decent writer?
Pretty much everyone in any Fallout thread.
Who here is substantially versed in Fallout lore and also is a decent writer?
Oh me me! My character is a female named Sho and she is 14 years old, I wrote her all meself! ^___^ She only uses tactical weapons like M4A1 with grenade launcher, holosight, extended mag and silencer!
Who here is substantially versed in Fallout lore and also is a decent writer?
why?
Who here is substantially versed in Fallout lore and also is a decent writer?
I'm intrigued. What about?
why?
I recently bought DOS and decided to get into the modding engine (despite shelling out $20/month of UE4 for the last four months) for fun, and realized that the framework there was fantastic for replicating the game feel of the first two Fallout games. I got started with the toolset and have managed to implement most functionality from the early games, (items, skills, armor, stats) and only really need assets. (voice, models, etc.) Though more importantly than assets is writing, so I was wondering if anyone wanted to live a fantasy and work to write dialogue and quest plots to help me out. Obviously it's just a labor of love, but if anyone is interested, I'd love to have more people involved. Even if you don't own Divinity, it's not like the writing is dependent on the engine to function, since the writing and quests can obviously translate to any game or engine, (though I prefer the gameplay of the original 2 to the newer games personally, they just need a ton of polish) but with the community already reverse engineering the game to allow for more than 4 player co-op, I felt it would be a really neat idea to give it a go. Alternatively, I could get off my lazy ass and do the same thing in UE4 and that way anyone could play it for free, but the thing that stopped me there is a lack of assets, since I'm not exactly a modeler and ripping from the games isn't a nice thing to do.

I would vastly prefer to do it in Unreal, mostly because it gives me an incentive to release stuff instead of just playing my stuff over LAN with friends, and no one would have to shell out $40 to play it. I'd be more than happy to work on a standalone project I could share with you guys for free if anyone's interested in a multiplayer Fallout game more akin to the original games but without the aged looks.
I could write some dialogue and stuff I think, that'd be cool
I gave someone my ENB and it looked like this: I tried to fix it and I never managed to do it. Never again.
I just reinstalled my New Vegas and it is still completely vanilla, and I would like your ENB, if it fucks up we know that there is something on your end making it look cool, it it doesn't then there was something on the other guy's end. It should still work since F3 and NV run on the same engine.
I could write some dialogue and stuff I think, that'd be cool
I'll take factions and/or story.
Anyone think the fallout series will go on sale more during quakecon? Its like 25% off now.

I suppose I should test my skills. [editline]17th July 2014[/editline] Slightly NSFW and references Skyrim but still relevant to Fallout I originally intended for mutant Emil to be loaded up with porn mods but I decided to take them all out in the end despite it compromising the joke.

Once I tried to expand on some ideas I had for a Hawaiian Fallout. I still have some quest ideas and half-finished dialogue trees laying about. Unfortunately I own neither D:OS nor a microphone, so I can't do anything else.

Count me in, I guess.
If you all are serious about helping out, which is very appreciated, do you have preferences over which two option we use? If UE4 is used, the end product will be much more controlled and generally more like what people want, though it will take a significantly longer time to produce, if only because of the fact that I'd need assets, though it'd be free for you guys as well. The alternative is just to use Divinity: OS' modding tools, which are decent, and powerful, but restricted as to the type of content and the control, but will equate to a much faster finished product because framework is done for things like conversations. Unreal is arguably better for everyone, but I'd need people onboard for assets, even if they were simple. It'd also be a game similar in style to the original Fallout games, so more emphasis on roleplay and freedom rather than a linear story. (Neverwinter Nights fans would be proud) It's up to everyone since I am arguably limited by you guys because I simply don't have the power to do everything myself. I can program, and write, and that's about it, the rest I am almost 100% reliant on others for. [editline]18th July 2014[/editline] how bad is it to use assets from the nexus?
I'd offer to help but honestly, I'd only be good as the official Graham Chapman - not contributing any strong amounts of writing but able to lob in ideas and adjustments from out of nowhere.
[editline]18th July 2014[/editline] how bad is it to use assets from the nexus?
Without permission? instant banning and account removal. They are nazi tight with their rules. With permission, i can't imagine you'd have problems... Also, i would write but i'd prefer writing general banter :v:
