It's actually called Wild Card, it's New Vegas' independence from the rule of the 3 main powers. There has to be a leader, you're not bringing about anarchy.
The achievement for the Wild Card ending is CALLED "No Gods, No Masters". Doesn't get any more anarchic than that.

Not really, just means you carved your own path. (By doing what Yes Man tells you to)

A leader is neither a god nor a master. A leader is someone who directs and guides others. By getting the Boomers, Brotherhood, Enclave, and Khans to fight for you at Hoover Dam you are, by definition, a leader.

You're not telling them how to live their life or do anything else other than help in the attack. You don't run the Strip, the Three Families do. You're not the Eldest of the Boomers. You're not mayor of Primm or Novac. You're not Elder of the Brotherhood. You're not The King. You're not in charge of New Vegas at all.

Who said anything about being in charge? A leader isn't a dictator, a leader isn't a ruler, a leader is closer to an arbiter. As long as you have the influence to get those groups to do what you want you are a leader, and if you can lead all of those groups together they will become part of a larger group under your banner, even if they don't explicitly seek to.

I disagree there. Thhe ending slide shows the Courier walking away and the ending slides don't mention any influence from him/her.

So the influence to get them to go to war isn't enough? It also says the Courier is seen as the person who brought about independence in all 3 Independent ending slides.
Also it doesn't show the Courier walking away, it shows the Courier standing on the Strip looking at the Lucky 38.

I'm talking about AFTER the Second Battle of Hoover Dam here.
I'm talking about AFTER the Second Battle of Hoover Dam here.
What happens after the battle is entirely up to the player's imagination. Which leads right back to my original post that people should listen to my bullshit fanon because my bullshit fanon is the best bullshit fanon.

Side-note here, that slogan actually applies to many different political philosophies, not just anarchism

Anarcho-Capitalism, bitches!
(Just my sarcastic $0.02)
Anyone know of a cursor lock that works with FNV? I play in a 720p window since I have a lot of mods loaded, need something to stop the mouse from clicking that W7 'hide everything' button in the corner.
If anyone wants to join Aperture Fan's Fallout PnP we are looking for new members
I might be interested depending on the time and availability (and setting). I'm already full for weekends, but some time during the week might work... though nobody is usually available during the week.
the ending of Dead Money was a real gamebryo moment
[sp]elijah said he wanted to come down with no funny business so I just stood around waiting then suddenly alarms were going off and every companion was yelling at the same time over the radio, elijah went from a casual stroll to hostile and blowing everything up, and I had no idea what any of them were saying[/sp]
basically it was a disappointing clusterfuck
everything in the game is a gamebryo moment
I've never played a PnP before. Seems too complicated but I'm interested though
I could opt in for PnP, what materials would I need, is there any specific RP rules, and what times?
I'd join in on PnP but I'm absolute shit at roleplaying in any form. :v:
Never done PnP in any remote form or anything like it really, but I'm willing to try if you all can help me set up and shit.
I'm in the same situation as the guy above me.
and i'm also the same as the second guy above me
the more people get involved in PnP (fallout) games better
as long as it remains lore friendly

[sp]what does PnP stand for?[/sp]
Depending on the times you're intending to play I'm up for it.
PnP stands for Pen and Paper.
[sp]what does PnP stand for?[/sp]
Pen and paper. Games similar to old-school tabletop games like D&D but usually without all the fancy extra stuff which makes viable for purely chat based rounds/adventures.

so are we! you'd fit in well

seriously though:
here are the rules (personal dropbox link so please don't swarm it)
we tend to start around 2 AM GMT +2 (most of the people are in the US, I'm the outlier) - we've been playing on Tuesdays but it's unwieldy as hell and so we're moving to Fridays
and we're looking for maybe two people tops so sorry but I don't think we'll be able to get everyone onboard

What the fuck happened Blake
I've played the Fallout PnP before, I'd be interested if joining if still possible.
Alright at this point we will stop accepting applications because we already have like 10 people wanting to join and we need time to screen all of you through
[editline]30th July 2014[/editline]
List of People Interested:
ElectricSquid, Kannata, Tureis, Starlight 456, matt000024, Krinkels, _Maverick_, UzumakaiPatch, draugur, No Party Hats, Kisame, Neoswords123, Trooper-guy1
Well, I was not expecting like 10 people to be interested :v: but I guess I know where to find players if I ever need any.
The game currently happens Tuesday nights at 8pm, GMT -5, but we're almost definitely switching to Friday nights at the same time.
The time period is after New Vegas, I forget the exact year but it was mentioned at some point so I'll dig it up later. The setting is New York, Manhattan to be precise. It's a raider-infested hole for the most part that was hit with more dirty bombs than explosives, but that hasn't stopped civilization, of course.
Anyone interested, or looking for more info, add me on Steam, and I'll start screening candidates.
