Eh, the textures on a few of the uniforms are messed up, so could anyone send me a link with the textures fixed or something?
You know what I just realized? The VR pods in Hidden Valley and probably Nellis AFB were very likely supposed to be completely functional. Messing around in the GECK I found a terminal submenu that was supposed to allow you to set allies and enemies (if what Apprentice Watkins says, Enclave was one of the options) in a simulation called "Base Defense," and it was supposed to use a desk terminal. What I found curious is that there is a desk terminal in the room, but it's just a turned-off static prop terminal but it has a RefID of "HVSimTerminalREF." It seems they just never had the time to get the concept working, or maybe they dropped it because it didn't work. It's still very interesting.
I have to guess the same thing about the VR pods at Nellis because of the fact that all the VR pods are activators and not just static props, and there's a dialog option about codes which refers you to another character who doesn't even have the option to bring it up. Considering it was supposed to be a flight simulator of all things, it baffles me to think what Obsidian was trying to do with it considering our wonderful mutual friend Gamebryo.
It just makes me wonder how many other concepts and stuff have been cut that are still in the game files. We know they cut a hell of a lot of locations from the final game, but that might not have been a completely time-related affair.

Is there a way after uninstalling a mod to get rid of all the shit left behind like a save cleaner there was one for skyrim that did something like that.

Which means it's probably time to update your Avatar:

Congratulations to Trooper-guy1 and Krinkles, who have been selected to join our PnP game. Games do happen on Fridays, but there won't be one tonight, so don't worry about rush delivery on your character.
The rulebooks you were given should have all that you need to make your character. If for some reason you lack the rulebooks, you can download them, as well as the character sheet program that you will be using, from here. Important note on the character sheet program, save your character as a .xml. Also, don't open different sheets from one instance of the program, because that makes tag skills overlap and everything gets confusing. If you want to open a new sheet (or any sheet really), open a new instance of the program, then go to file>open.
Your characters will start with 3000XP and 1000 caps worth of whatever equipment you can afford with that budget, taken from the Guns and Ammo pdf, not the 2.0 rules.
You will need to install the Dropbox client and then give me the email you made a Dropbox account with in order to play, so I can add you to our shared folder for all the Fallout content. Any questions about character creation or anything else, message me on Steam, but it should be very straightforward, especially since you've played Fallout before. Basically, decide on your SPECIAL, Traits, then Tag skills, and finally equipment. A little backstory and possible goals would also be nice, but is not strictly speaking mandatory.

tfw you look at all the cut locations and content in NV on the wiki.
This mod, called Willhaven Content Pack
http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/51163/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fnewvegas%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D51163%26preview%3D&pUp=1
is one of my most favourite mods solely because of the armour and weapons which are frankly, god tier.
the problem is, i can never reach it
Is it possible... / how would one do it..
to add a crate with all the weapons and armour at Goodsprings?
because i just want to test a few things with the armours and NOT have to try and go through it all only to find out it didn't work anyway.
Can someone do it?
or tell me how I would do it?
I can probably do it, but not right now, I still have some shit I have to do.
I can probably do it, but not right now, I still have some shit I have to do.
If you could, that would be great.
(also... There is a couple of crates inside one of the cells called SAFEHOUSE, in those crates is every item and weapon already.)
coc SAFEHOUSE is your friend, then!
coc SAFEHOUSE is your friend, then!
That would be nice, but unfortunately it's not that simple.
the reason i'm asking for the crate of armour/weapons to be moved to goodsprings
is because i CTD every time i enter Willheaven's worldspace.
There is a door up in Jacobstown and it leads to this HUGE buggy mess of a place, the safehouse (where all the armour and weapons are kept) is at the very far end of it, past 12 super mutants and 7 deathclaws, even if i find a way to NOT CTD i'm not going to waste my time fighting off all of those things [U]just to see if a texture has changed properly

Simple enough!
All you gotta do is:
1. Load up the GECK and load up the mod (I wouldn't recommend making the mod the active file, which means you're actually editing the mod, I would just check it and make a new esp for the container)
2. Find out what the GECK IDs of all the armors and weapons are (if he uses an acronym search that, hopefully something comes up)
3. Rename the GECK ID of a container you'd like to put in Goodsprings (it doesn't matter what the container originally was or what was in it, this is more just to grab a model that you'd like), put the weapons and armors in it, and save. Be sure when it comes up if you want to make a new form ID that you do it.
4. Go to Wasteland from the cells tab, and look for Goodsprings. Press that, and throw the crate wherever you want to put it in Goodsprings.
5. Save your new mod.
Honestly the hardest part of it is just trying to find what he named the weapons and armors, otherwise it's pretty easy.
going to try it right now.

ok this is like latin to me.. don't know what the fuck i'm doing here
maybe.. maybe it would be easier to add a door to this cell?
like.. put down to doors, one from goodsprings, to the interior of the safehouse cell and back again?
You could do that, too. All you'd need to do is set down any door in Goodsprings or wherever and another door in the Safehouse, and then link them up (which you can do by clicking the door in-world). Be sure to add a ref ID to one of the doors so its easier to figure out which door is the one you want to link to
I'd walk you through this a lot more or maybe even make the mod for you, but I have to go pick up my boyfriend from the bus station, sorry dude :c

done enough, i think i got this now.
Found out why the textures were screwing up, because I was downloading everything at once and the textures were being little shits.
I'm really excited for Fallout 4, when it's released, we definitely need a new thread like we did with New Vegas.
I'm also happy that I'll be purchasing it on release date. I got Fallout 3 in 2009 when I was in 6th grade. I couldn't put it down. I wanted more Fallout and saw New Vegas 1 year later, so I picked it up about 1 month later. I fell in love even more. I enjoyed the story and it's one of mt favorite games of all time.
When I got my shitty prebuilt in 8th grade, I didn't touch Steam until 9th grade. I had an i3 2100 and GT 610 and played Fallout like shit. That's okay though, I learned how to mod my game very well. Now I'm 16 with a custom PC and play New Vegas and 1 and 2 regulary.
Thanks guys for being suck a great general thread community. Before you I lurked /vg/ Fallout General.
Patrolling facepunch almost makes you wish for a nuclear garry.
i went through dunwich building for the first time, it was surprisingly creepy
but the ending was so disappointing, [sp]i thought i'd get to talk to jaime and then he's just a hostile ghoul and i get a sword i dont need[/sp]
TTW is just about done installing
also, the Wasteland Clothing HD mod is giving all men purple skin on their arms and chests when wearing clothes that are short sleeved n shit.

Wow, are you me or something? That's weird.
what the fuck, why is the TTW FOMod only installing Anchorage.esm and Brokensteel.esm ?????
[editline]3rd August 2014[/editline]
Ok, I got it working by installing an even newer version of FOMM.

tfw not using NMM
tfw not using NMM
NMM sucks at installing large mods like that. Every time I've tried activating a large mod like TTW, or even just NMC textures, it's crashed right at the final stages without actually activating the mod.
tfw not using NMM
>not just putting the files directly into your data folder
So I want to use this ENB for New Vegas that requires ENB version 0.249
But I can't find that fucking thing anywhere on the official ENB site, it's so badly designed.
Can anyone link me to a download?
>not just putting the files directly into your data folder
Not very easily undoable, but sure to get the job done.
I'd rather use NMM because
1. It actually works for me
2. If I want to play normal NV, I can easily uninstall everything related to TTW.
>not just putting the files directly into your data folder
i used to do that before i realised that NMM made mod organisation so much more convenient.
